I haven't been here in a while, and didn't realize they updated their menu by consolidating it. Then that's when I realized the prices also hiked up. For a 1 item $25-30 lunch, not sure how often I'll be back. The service is just okay, so it's nothing over the top/special.

    Galbitang 갈비탕 and eggs

Came here on a snowy day in December and was craving hot soup. Of course I ordered the galbitang!! The galbitang is packed with a thick cut of short rib that they cut table side. As well as loaded with egg ribbons, onions, scallions, and glass noodles. I thought the soup was a little too heavily salted and lacking in sweetness as it did not have any daikon, but otherwise very flavorful and umami, 4/5. The steamed egg was overcooked and a bit chewy rather than soft and fluffy unfortunately, 2/5. The banchan were all delicious 5/5. My husband got the doenjang jiggae which he enjoyed! Will be back to try their kbbq!

Took my very picky parents here for lunch and they ended up loving it. All 3 of us got the bento box lunch in varieties: pork bugolgi, bugolgi, galbi. I thought the quality and presentation were great. However, I thought the portions were skimpy. The meat and salad portions could have been a bit bigger. I loved the veggie fried mandu dumplings and the fish tofu marinated strips. I don't like kimchi nor the sour preserved turnips so I gave them all to my mom who loved them. I'd rather they be different bonchon like bean sprouts, tofu, or sliced potatoes. I wish it could've come with a small soup as well to balance everything out. There were only 2 other tables and the server, while nice, would disappear for long stretches of time and not check in on us. I had to walk around looking for her to ask about things. I grabbed to-go containers on my own for my table. The space is really nice and converted from a Japanese hibachi place that used to be here. The decor, the tables, the TV screens featuring popular dishes and Korean food travel clips were appropriate and fun to watch while waiting for food. There is a small market with Korean snacks and soju to buy. No prices for anything though! I had to ask the server who had a little trouble finding the individual items on her scanner. Turns out the snacks only had a nominal upcharge from CAM or Park to Shop so I bought those amazing honey twists too! My parents are already scheming to come back here and try bibimbap and tofu stew!

Great food, would totally eat here again. Such great service as well. All the side items that came along with our meal really filled everything out. The Katsu was excellent as well as the shrimp tempura.

I recently discovered my love for Korean cuisine so I was excited to try this place out. We went for an early dinner on Saturday and almost had the place to ourselves. The gimmari tempura appetizer was delicious and came with 3 dipping sauces. Loved the fun texture of that dish. We also really enjoyed the dolsot bibimbap. I was not a fan of the yukgaejang which was unfortunate but I think that's likely just my personal preference.

Good spice level and fast service. The ban Chan was nice (I'm a big fan of fish cake in general!) and the soondubu had good flavor. I was a bit disappointed by the pajeon being a bit eggy and not crispy enough for my taste. Perhaps my fault for not going to kbbq route which looked like a lot of fun. Check it out for a nice Korean meal, easy parking!

Update: never disappointed when I come. So delicious!!! Sometimes the dishes aren't as good as they last were which is the only downside. But then I come back again and it's even more delicious that is my only critique- the inconsistency of the some of the dishes when we come back to eat on a different occasion. But I'm aware of how hard staffing is and restaurant business is hard so I'm not going to dock points just because of that. I'm not a big drinker but my friends were raving about their drinks deliciousness! Thank you Gogi En K BBQ for your hospitality and delicious food!

This place was amazing. Clean and spacious with great service! I ate my weight in food and I'm never able to do that anywhere else, it was all just so delicious. I will be back again with friends!

Just plain good. Had the ala carte bbq with brisket, chicken and spicy pork. Lots of food. Ban Chan was limited to four dishes but they were all very good. Refills on request. Also received a miso type soup that was very good. Seafood pancake was good but a little pricey. I would definitely go back. Great service from a super friendly staff.

We came to Akron for a quick overnight visit and decided to grab some authentic Korean food nearby. We found this new restaurant in Solon. Friendly staff and service. There's plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall area. Reservations are recommended if you want BBQ. If you're only getting non-BBQ, there is a different seating section for that. The food is made to order and delicious. For a place with no Korean groceries nearby, I was impressed with the flavors of our meal. It isn't quite NYC Koreatown or the DMV area level or even SKorea. It still hits the spot & is full-bodied flavorful when you're surrounded by burgers, pasta, and pizza. It's definitely a positive addition to the area!

Best Korean BBQ since Rising Grill. Try the marinated short rib combo. It comes with soup, steamed egg and little side plates. So good

We placed our drink order and waited...out came 2 glasses of wine, then the third and then the beer that was ordered. Also asked for lemon wedges for the water which came after the beer. Placed appetizers order of crab cakes and smash burger. Waited a bit and then placed order for two salads as part of our dinners. Salads came out before the appetizers. I must say the crab cakes were delicious (maybe not $26 delicious), the smash burger was ok, very greasy and fries were not very hot. My biggest disappointment was my entree, Parmesan Crusted Seabass which is one of my all time favorites that I order when I see it on the menu. The plate looked delicious but looks can be deceiving. The Seabass was more breaded than Parmesan crusted. Usually When I order this it is Seabass topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and baked, this was not that! Then the sauce that covered the spinach and potatoes and lobster pieces had red chili flakes added(which is not noted on the menu) which added "heat" to the dish that I was not expecting nor was I able to eat. For $55 I was very disappointed. No, I didn't mention this at the time as we were dining with family and I didn't want to disrupt the dinner by sending it back. Such a simple thing to note on the menu description! The short rib was the best entree of the table, nice portion and delicious sauce. The filet was tiny, maybe 4 oz. Definitely not anywhere near 8 in as stated on the menu and it was hard to find with all of the broccoli on the plate. We will be visiting family here again but definitely won't be back here. On another note, the music they were playing would be more suitable to a dance club than a venue such as this.

The food, for me, was nothing to write home about. The beet salad wasn't my fav but it was ok. The chicken I would not recommend because it had literally no flavor and the whole thing was covered in arugula why My boyfriend loved the burger though! And I thought the wine was good This place wins in terms of ambiance, it's really gorgeous and feels exclusive. I just wish the food matched that vibe. I'd come back for their brunch for sure in the summer, I hear they might have bottomless mimosas??

Overall, I had a good experience- however the items I got were partially bland or just average. Let's get into it: Drinks: my girlfriend got a smoked old fashion and I a skinny margarita- both were amazing! Their signature cocktails are only $8 during happy hour (only the old fashioned) and I love a great deal! Service: By far my favorite part of the experience. When we visited there were only a few other patrons but our waiter was informed, attentive, anticipated needs, and popped up at just the right times which I think is so important to keep the conversation and service going Food: I could have ordered the house salad and nothing else- it was DELICIOUS!!! I asked if the house dressing came in a bottle I could buy. I'm a salad girl and a great simple one is something I look for. I got the avocado ranch flatbread which was on happy hour and the elements were there but just not well put together. I ate two small squares and declined to take any home. My girlfriend got the steak frites - the cut of meat just wasn't great which could be a sign of our food issues as Americans idk. The tater tots weren't described as a n abstract form and came looking like some sort of popper with very little potato I would stop back in for drinks easily and the salad.

I called to let them know, and the young male cashier who answered the phone acted like I was bothering him. He said he would "go ask the manager what to do," put me on hold, and then hung up on me. When I called back, he hung up again without saying anything. So I drove up there -- even though I didn't really have the time my because fiancé recently had surgery on his leg so I'm taking care of him-- and yet things got even worse. In person, the same cashier cut me off while I was speaking, told me to my face that I was wrong, and said he had already checked the order (which clearly wasn't true). When I tried to explain, he got loud, threw my receipt on the floor, and kept arguing with me in front of other customers. His tone, attitude, and behavior were unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, stayed calm, and offered to make the missing items for me -- which I appreciated but while speaking with him the cashier would interject with rude, condescending and callous remarks, trying to continue the argument. The cashier placed the bag on the counter and refused to even acknowledge me. He just stared away like I wasn't standing there. The manager saw this too, and ended up moving him to the back room and handing me the food himself. My little sister was also disrespected when she came in to pick up our initial order. He would say "I can't really help you" and would walk away to sit on his phone and put his feet up on the counter. How are you the cashier manning the counter and can't give someone their order?. He gave the same response to another lady as well. We usually go to the Lee's Seafood Boil in Solon. The food is amazing there and the customer service is some of the best I've ever had. While the one on Lee Rd is the exact opposite and they're extremely greasy in comparison. We will never be returning to the Lee Rd location and will forever stick with Lee's In Solon. Manager: 4/5 - respectful, professional, and made it right. Cashier: 0/5 - rude, dishonest, disrespectful, and completely out of line. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. No one deserves to be treated like that. I won't be coming back unless serious changes are made -- starting with that cashier.
