I concur with all of the glowing reviews for Gohan!! Their food is expertly prepared, and it is full of flavor. We stopped in and ordered 3 rolls for takeout. We enjoyed chatting with the woman who took our order while the chefs prepared our food. She described the flavors in some of their best selling menu items, and helped us make our selections. We settled on the layer cake roll, the flame torched roll, and the spicy crunchy yellowtail roll. They were incredibly fresh and delicious. All were full of flavor, yet mild - in a good way! Each roll was visually appealing as well. The food was on par with high end sushi that l've had and the prices were good. Now that we've finally tried Gohan, I anticipate it being our new regular sushi spot. There's a lot on the menu, and I can't wait to try it!! I could not kick my sushi craving, so a fellow Yelp elite and I decided to come back. Boyyyyyy, was it yummy! The owner was super sweet and so informative, it really made for a personable experience! We got a bunch of things including the lunch special three rolls of shrimp tempura roll, yellowtail scallion roll and spicy tuna roll with a salad...YUM! My daughter got the shrimp, fried rice, and the fried rock shrimp... she ate every bit and said it was the best fried rice she's ever had! I just ate there 30 minutes ago. I saw it had a high rating and thought I would try it out. I'm still relatively new to the area and it's the first restaurant that made me feel this good. If anything on the downside, the eat in area is a bit small but the food was really wonderful. They do not serve beer but they told me they are fine if you want to bring your own. Their tea was good. I was already having a great day and eating there made it even better. The staff were very nice. I'm not the type to stick up my nose and tell everyone what I think is the best. This is different. I am in such a great mood right now. As it was my first time, I rolled the dice on the Sushi & Sashimi Combo. I want to try to Chef's specialties next time and they also have these bowl meals that looked good too. I tend to over order but this was perfect. That was my feeling as we sampled 5 different rolls from the new Gohan! You can find a Rainbow Roll on most sushi menus. This one was really good! The chef's signature rolls are where you should live! The Dark Angel Roll was amazing! The Paradise Cake was exceptionally unusual and oh so good. Montage Mountain was like nothing I've ever seen and was possibly the simplest and maybe the best of the bunch. Crispy sushi rice as a base is unique! The staff was wonderful. The restaurant is absolutely spotless. And they even gave us a little thank you sampler. It was an experience that tells me it wasn't a fluke and will be good time and time again.
