I came here with my parents a little after 5pm on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated promptly. There were only a few tables full when we arrived. For an appetizer we began with the Sonoma Goat Cheese Spring Rolls. These were delicious! I love the goat cheese and how it complemented the rolls. Highly recommended. We then had the Vegan Noodle Soup. The broth in this dish was tasty and the soup had sliced mushrooms and large pieces soft broccoli. We were disappointed in the amount of tofu. The three of us literally only received two pieces of tofu in our soup. Really? I wish the chef would have been generous. Our main dishes were Claypot Organic Tofu with Fresh Shiitake Mushrooms in Basil and Garlic Sauce as well as Crispy Salted & Pepper Organic Black Soybean Tofu. The Claypot came out steaming and sizzling! It has nice chunks of tofu in a delicious sauce. This dish also included full shiitake mushrooms and garlic cloves. The Salted & Pepper Tofu had lightly fried tofu with a spicy kick to it. The peppers included with this dish ups the spicyness if you inadvertently grab one. This was my favorite dish. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. Our plates were picked up quickly keeping the table clean. I did notice that this place fills up quickly. By the time we left at 6pm - this place was almost full. I recommend calling in for a reservation if you plan to eat around this time. read more

The curry was bland, my spicy beef soup was bland and the vegi chow fun had seemed to lost it's flavor (even my 12 year old didn't like it and she devoured it on our first visit). Although it's located in a kind of seen-better-days strip mall, Goji is a surprising find. They also have an outdoor patio, but it's overlooking a big parking lot. The interior is minimalist design, with Asian flair. Food is reasonably priced, and very tasty. Not greasy! read more

Fabulous. Entering Goji Kitchen was welcoming and (relatively) warm. Actually, they could use some screening between the door and the restaurant... very minor complaint. Great wine and beer list for such a venue -- Hawley Viognier -- are you kidding?!? The food was exemplary. Fresh, hot and delicious. The Imperial Egg rolls were fabulous -- lightly fried with delicious pork, shrimp & vegetable filling. The lemon grass chicken was perfectly spiced (we asked for medium and there was just the perfect kick for our American tastes!) and the stir fried vegetables with ginger were al dente and very tasty. The chow main we ordered for our daughter was okay, but I've had much better. The biggest disspointment was the lack of kids menu. Goji Kitchen is a delightful Vietnamese-Chinese fusion restaurant near the JC. It's a clean restaurant with relaxing atmosphere (a trickling Zen fountain at the entrance) and a generally good serving staff. The food is always on point, but some dishes are more impressive than others, the Spicy Lemongrass Tofu 'Bun' among them. The BF usually orders slightly off menu and gets Mongolian Chicken--they may as well add it to the list! The dishes do seem healthy overall, and I've never had or seen anything that looked remotely greasy. It's a great addition to the sometimes dreary Santa Rosa restaurant scene. Definitely one of the top Asian restaurants in Sonoma County (and beyond, if you ask me). If we're comparing Vietnamese in the area, I would rank it slightly higher than Simply Vietnam--and well above Pho Vietnam--for effort, execution, ambiance, and quality of ingredients (organic items and free range chicken). A wide selection of vegan and vegetarian items (and they are willing to alter the menu to accommodate). The only thing I've had at Goji which I found sub-par was an order of odd 'Vegan Steamed Flat Rolls with Tofu and Woodear Mushrooms' that was definitely a miss, and far overpriced at $9.95, but I knew I was taking a risk with that one. Plan on spending around $11-15 per dish, but a pot of tea for two is just $1.50! read more

Awesome food and service. Most of the items in their menu are solid Asian --Vietnamese and Chinese with some American/Calilifornia twists. Their prawn stuffed chicken wings was really a standout.The broth in their pho was silky and flavorful --one of the best broth I ever have. The place is clean and staff are friendly . Came here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Didnt have to wait because we came in at about 5pm-530pm so we beat the rush. the food is really good! but the service could definitely use some improvement.. we got an older gentlement waiting on us and while he was polite, he could have been more attentive. we didnt get refills on our waters until we were practically finished with our food, and if your anything like my boyfriend who drinks a lot of water, this was a big disapointment and especially since others were getting refills. felt like we were being ignored. keep in mind we ordered two appetizers and two entrees so it was a decent amount of food and not just a cheap order. the buser was eventually the one who brought us water and the check. also, the entrees came a good amount of time apart. at least 5-8 minutes, which wasn't ideal. the restaurant only started to become busy after our food arrived so i know they weren't super rushed with orders. overall, the only reason im giving this 4 stars was because the was in fact really good! Solid place to enjoy pho. I go for their beef pho and my boyfriend loves their veggie pho - mushrooms FTW! It is a couple of more dollars than some other places, but during dinner time, they provide complimentary edamame and dessert. Sometimes during dinner service, they give complimentary BBQ pork buns! I've been here a few times, mostly for takeout. It's pretty pricey, but the food was good and tasted fresh. I don't know what the heck happened this last time. The once delicious potstickers, perfectly slightly crispy with a delicious filling became a giant doughy mess. The sweet and sour chicken was now dried out like it was from Panda Express. The fried rice had corn in it which made it taste off. this was a 40 dollar meal. WTH. I'm never eating here again. read more

Goji is hidden away at the end of a strip mall and is truly a hidden gem. Very clean place with nice warm colors. The staff is A1, friendly and very attentive. Grilled Chicken Spring Rolls were the best. Wor Won Ton Soup was good as well as Chicken Chow Mein. Affordable and quality. I heard this place is good...and it is! Service by all the wait staff is excellent, attentive and friendly. We had a young man named Joshua who was particularly pleasant. Nice to have good service and good food! Everything is more than you'd expect, including the portions. Great spring rolls, and entrees should be shared, or just plan to take some home. We had a bbq chicken rice vermicelli and red coconut chicken curry. Just when I was thinking about something sweet they bring you a complimentary cup of warm rice pudding and orange slices. Next time, I'll just make a meal of appetizers and go to the dessert menu. I suggest reservation or go early. The place is busy but service nor food suffer for it. The clay pot catfish was very good but I had to mark them down for the chicken curry with pumpkin and zucchini. This is a coconut curry dish and the chef put bell peppers and pineapple in it and made it sweet. I have had this dish many times at several different restaurants. Bell peppers, sweet flavor and pineapple don't go well with this dish. When I was asked if I wanted hot or not I said hot. I can tell you this dish wasn't even mildly hot. When I told the waiter that had I known pineapple was in the dish I wouldn't have ordered it. The waited didn't even know and suggested I was mistakes the pumpkin for pineapple. I said no way. No attempt was made to correct the dish, offer another dish or discount my bill. Had it not been for the catfish dinner would have been a total bust. read more

My family have been going here for a few years now. My kids love Imperial Rolls, Pork chops, fried rice and chow fun noodles. My husband and my favorite: Crispy Tofu. We recently catered food for a dinner party. All the guests enjoyed every single dish we ordered; Imperial Rolls, Crispy Tofu, Grilled Pork chops and Fried Rice. And i was really pleased with their service. My Vietnamese friend commented on how Imperial rolls are very close to how her mom makes and she doesn't get headaches their food (meaning no MSG). Unfortunately i can only give 3 stars because -the curry chicken came with a huge bowl that was mostly just soup. It also was waaaaaaay to sweet, like they added tons of sugar. -the meat in general had not the quality we had hoped for -the stuff was "okay" but not that friendly. -no refills! This place is delicious! We had the orange peel chicken (made with local Rocky chicken) which was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate! We also had the Mongolian beef which had fresh veggies in it that actually tasted like veggies, not grease like most Chinese food. Spinach salad = best salad my stomach has ever met! It has mushrooms and crispy fried tofu strips topped on a bed of greens with pine nuts on the side. Considering the other yummy vegetarian options on the menu (tofu claypot, sauté greenbeans, lemongrass tofu), I would have never considered ordering the salad if it wasn't for my dining neighbor's suggestion. Very tasty and very accommodating. I like the use of organics and sustainable ingredients. Some very good flavor combination. I got basil, mushroom, garlic chicken, had a little bit of heat to it. Overall a tasty experience, but slightly Americanized, not to say that's a terrible thing but if you want super authentic this is probably not the place to go. I have experienced their takeout 3 times and had the pleasure of a wonderful group dinner one other time. Every time I have tasted their food, it has been exemplary.
