Goji kitchen was awful starting from the service and ending with the food. The only good part was they kept my water full. I had a craving for pho so we tried somewhere new. They gave us menus and by the time they came to take our order people were sat at the table next to us ordered and had there drinks and appetizer before they even acknowledged us. Finally they took our order the waitress seemed rushed I had to stop her after taking the order to make sure she got it right which she didn't so she had to fix it. The appetizer came out finally when the people that came in after us got all their food ate and were leaving and a few min after getting our appetizer the food was out.....what's the point in getting an appetizer if they practically come out at the same time? We sat there and waited for service finally I went out of my way to ask for a box then we sat around some more waited for the check then waited even longer for them to take it and give us change. The food was edible but not anything I will be going back for. It seemed like the pho was all pre bought packaged veggies and just thrown into it with some noodles and broth. I will not be going back here ever you can get way better food for a way better price. I would not recommend anyone to go here. read more

The restaurant smelled so good when we walked in the door - a wafting mix of warm and welcoming spices NOT oil! I had a good feeling.......and I wasn't disappointed at all with the Lemongrass Tofu Bun dish I ordered. It was delicious, I mean really delicious! Big chunks of fried tofu in a sweet chili garlic sauce, slivered cucumbers & carrots, bean sprouts, cilantro and a healthy sprinkle of crushed peanuts over perfectly cooked rice noodles. The sauce served with it was a wonderful blend of chilies, soy sauce, fish sauce, and I don't know what else but it was very fresh and tasty. My husband had the grilled pork bun and it had lots & lots of pork with a teriyaki-ish flavor and the accompanying sauce was a sweet and tangy rice wine vinegar sauce with shredded carrot and chiles. He was really hungry when we went in and not only did he enjoy his lunch he was filled up too! Both are tricky to accomplish and Goji Kitchen succeeded in spades! Avoid this place. I ordered a dish which comes with white Tofu however they decided to switch it with black bean tofu without my consensus. They never bothered to ask me that they were switching white Tofu with black bean tofu and needless to say I didn't enjoyed my dish at all. It seems like they were left over with black bean tofu and decided to add it to my dish. Very unprofessional and unethical place. Service is super slow too. read more

This is a warning to my fellow vegans. I have eaten the P7 "vegan" pho at Goji Kitchen numerous times over the years. Today as I was eating it the fried tofu had a distinctly chicken flavor. Unfortunately I had eaten more than half of the order by the time I realized this. I asked one of the waitresses whether P7 was completely vegan. She said it was. I then told her that the fried tofu tasted like chicken. I asked her if the oil it was fried in was separate from oil used for meat. She said the dish was vegan except for that. The oil used to fry the tofu was indeed used to fry chicken as well. I told her they can't call the dish vegan in that case. She said in the future I should order it with only steamed tofu. That didn't make any sense. How does that protect other unsuspecting vegans from being tainted by their chicken fried tofu? I wrote on my credit card receipt that the fried tofu should be eliminated from P7, since it is not vegan. Good luck to vegans dining out! read more

ok, I keep meaning to write a review. I am so addicted to this place. I almost don't know where to begin!!! Let's start with the fact that they are the BEST Chinese food in Sonoma county and the ONLY place I will go to (I went to about 3 other vomit quality ones before that and thought Chinese food was a lost cause in Santa Rosa). The quality is high, you can taste the freshness. LOTS of veggies, and a variety of them (not frozen). The prices are good (not cheap, but the quality makes up for it). They have a lot of vegetarian options (I have so much to chose from compared to other places). The take out service is quick (you call, it's there by the time you drive over). In house eating is great. Cute, basic relaxing dinner environment where you can feel relaxed. VERY attentive staff (I brought my friend and our SIX kids in) and the littlest ones kept "dropping" their forks or chopsticks and they had new ones on the table for us before we could even look away to get their attention!! One killed spilled his water and they were there with a rag right away. I just love how they were so patient with us!!! My boys LOVE when I say "let's get Goji tonight!" Fabulous chicken rolls; rice lettuce wraps with free-range, local, grilled chicken and a hint of mint with a slightly spicy sauce. I could eat these everday! If you are a huge fan of sweet and sour chicken (I typically am not as its usually too sweet for my palate) then you will love theirs. It is absolutely fresh and yummy but very, very sweet. The mixed chow mein was fair and not greasy, I've had better but it was good although (we opted for no pork, leaving only chicken and prawns) could have been heartier with a bit more meat pieces. I love Pho, we used to go to Pho Vietnam &Simply Vietnam, by the good reviews we tried GOJI, I ordered the beef combo Pho soup, my friend ordered the chicken fried rice, they are both way too much salty, very bland except salt, I ordered hot and sour soup to clear my throat, guess what, even worse,more salt and sugar, I just wonder what's the good reviews came from, they are right in two things-the decor&good service, but you can't eat the paint and the fountain,after the bad food ,they all looks terrible, the waitress is very sweet, but even her can't make it up, I decided to vote with my foot-1 star, I will stick with my Pho Vietnam. read more

Ambiance, food, and staff were all good. The wall hangings are very nice, as is the water sound from the fountain. We enjoyed our lunch -- just the right thing for a rainy October day. Loved this place! Went for the 1st time today for lunch. Had heard rave reviews from several people from work and they were right! I was going to order the Pho, but wound up ordering dishes from the lunch menu. Husband had the Walnut-Pineapple Prawns and it was yummy. I had a few of the prawns and some of the sauce/walnuts/pineapple. Delicious! Everything was prepared perfectly. I had the Chicken with Mushrooms and Basil, and it was also way good. I ordered the brown/wild rice instead of the jasmine rice that comes with the dishes, and it was perfect! Everything about this place is great- service was excellent, atmosphere inside is very nice and there is that great fountain right inside the front door. The place was pretty busy for a Saturday lunch crowd, and the wait for food and drink was minimal. Husband had the small sake, which turned out to be much bigger than what he usually gets when ordering the small size elsewhere. The portions are big, I took half of mine home and I'm a big eater! I gave this place 5 stars because there is absolutely NOTHING not to like about it! Prices are comparable for similar. Great hot tea, too! Went to this restaurant expecting decent food but was very disappointed. The appetizers (potstickers and chicken spring rolls) were okay but nothing special, especially for the price. The yellow curry was barely edible. It tasted like someone dumped a jar of grocery store curry powder into coconut milk then added some veggies. Very unappetizing and not at all authentic. I agree the lettuce cups were decent but everything else we had just didn't have the right blend of flavors. The service was good and friendly but the food was very expensive for what you got. My boyfriend and I are regulars here. I am the most pickiest person when it comes to food and service quality so Goji Kitchen must be doing something right. My boyfriend and I always order their pho dac biet. During the summer, I usually order their bun thit nuong. I could eat ten bowls of each of these entrees if it were possible. Goji Kitchen has excellent service! Especially the owner, Jennifer. I rarely ever see owners work at their own restaurant EVERYDAY. She always approaches me and others to conversations with us while we wait for our food and after our meal. During my birthday week, my boyfriend brought me here for dinner after work. He had a gift bag that said "birthday girl" on it. Without saying that it was my birthday, our server brought us a piece of cake to wish me a happy birthday. It was delicious. I've been here twice now. I've had the pho and the sweat and sour pork with combination chow mein. The food is seriously clean and probably the best pho I've ever had! Good atmosphere, service and convenient to my hotel. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking but it is pretty clean and nicely decorated. I loved the Mexican coke, enjoyed the wonton soup but thought the bone-in five spice chicken was a bit of a miss. I needed it to be more crisp and with more flavor. Came here after zip lining in Occidental. We picked this place based on Yelp so we didn't mind the slight diversion. Got here around 5 p.m. and all was quiet. Then all of a sudden the placed started hopping. We ordered the fried tofu and spring rolls, pho, and a combo bun - all very tasty. Their prices were a little more expensive than we're used to as we're from the Bay Area, but we definitely got a lot and ended up taking leftovers home. The service is good, they have a nice patio where you can dine outside when the weather is nice. The menu has plenty of vegan and healthy options. I've eaten twice here and finding the offerings inconsistent. The highs: soup! Wonton and chicken noodle- wonderful. Not so good: curried chicken or tofu hot pot. The mild curry had little flavor and the hot pot had few of the mushrooms but a LOT of tofu cut into bars which were unappetizing.
