I was staying at a hotel in Rohnert Park with friends and ordered food for delivery. I went with 2 Egg Rolls (4 pieces to an order, so 8 total) and 2 BBQ Park Chow Mein. The delivery was pretty quick. The food was packaged well everything looked delicious; and was still hot when we received it. The Egg Rolls were good, lots of filling in them. The Chow Mein noodles were cooked perfect and the dish was deliciously savory with a good amount of pork as well as veggies. Everyone enjoyed the food and were satisfied with the meal. It wasn't too far from our hotel and from the reviews it looks like a nice place to dine in which me may do so next year when in town. read more

I have taken food out from this restaurant about four times over the last year out of convenience to my house when I don't have the time travel farther. Yes the portions are very generously large. And, the taste is okay, but not exceptional as compared to an other highly rated restaurant I usually get food from. My biggest complaint is that the service staff is terrible. My recent purcghae was a take out order placed on the telephone. The gentleman who took my order could barely speak english and was very impatient, rushing to end the call. I order a pork mushu, eggplant with added shrimp and the house tofu. I requested that everything be mild as I have a family member that is on meds that do not allow him to eat spicy food. When I went to pick my order up the three containers were placed in a thin plastic bag. When I got home the eggplant /shrimp dish was spicy with three large hot chile peppers right on top of there food. The Mushu pork had no pancakes. When I called to tell them the same man answered the phone and his reply to me was "No Problem"! The older woman who i encountered there at the service counter does understand English but she is gruff and unfriendly. On this last occasion, Mother's Day, when I went to pick up my order there was younger woman who was very pleasant but when I ordered an extra continuer of riv=ce she just handed the hot container to me. Itvwould not fit into the bag with my original order. I asked for another neg. She then put everything into a larger bag (original bagged order as is nd separate rice and tied it). When I got home the containers leaked and it was a mess. When I arrived at the restaurant it was more than 75% empty of diners sitting at tables. No excuse for such sloppy service and attitude. OCT2025 Probably one of the better options I've had in the area. We had gotten food for delivery, and wait times were short for food to arrive. We had ordered the house special eggplant, orange chicken, and vegetable chow mein. Everything was cooked well, portion sizes were nice. The eggplant probably better on location due to the nature of it, but the flavor was good and the sauce a nice additive. It also came with hot and sour soup, and a vegetable egg roll. I have been here so many times because the food is just too good. I live in SF and this is my favorite Chinese food I have found so far. Every dish I try, I love so I had to write a review. We always eat in the restaurant and the food tastes fresh, hot, and delicious. The orange chicken is crispy but also light and airy on the outside. Th sauce is sweet and a little tangy. The chow mein is always a hit and don't get me started on the eggplant. We tried it for the first time and it is now my favorite. Crispy and fried on the outside with a sweet sauce. Sometimes I don't like the texture of eggplant, but this was perfect. The staff here is very nice, the restaurant is never too crowded (I think they do a lot of take out orders), and our food always comes out fast. I would give higher than a 5/5 if possible. read more

It's a large restaurant with plenty of tables, rich and colorful decor, and a bar. Decor/ Interior (5/5). I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and shown a table in the back half of the dining room. I told the server I only had 30-mins, and could I have a small bowl of Wor Won Ton Soup. I went to use the restroom, and when I returned to my table, they were serving my soup. That's quick service! Service (5/5). How was the soup? Average at best. Maybe it's because they made it super fast. It was considered a "small" bowl, so it had 7-8 dumplings. It had a few pieces of meat and shrimp. But the zucchini was undercooked and hard to eat. Usually chinese restaurants use bok choy or napa cabbage in the won ton soup. Food (3/5). If I'm in the area, I'd like to return and try the Seafood Tofu Claypot dinner. Next time, I won't be rushed. This place would be good for large groups or parties. Free parking in lot. read more

My first time at this location. The space is expansive and light. Staff very friendly and kind. That right there priceless. I ordered from extensive lunch menu. My food arrived so quickly I had yet to finish my hot sour soup and egg roll included in lunch special. Sorry I ate it before I thought to take a pic. lol. I've been craving the crispy noodles for a couple weeks. Today that is no longer true. The noodles are crispy and fresh just the way I like them. The topping is also fresh and so delicious. It's not a dish offered many places outside of China Town. So I felt very fortunate to have for lunch today. The servings are so large for this you might want to bring a friend to share. It's a long drive but I was close by running an errand. It was perfect. Next time I'm returning with my oldest granddaughter. She loves this dish too. read more

I found this restaurant on Yelp by the grace of a higher power. I arrived after the lunch crowd was gone and the restaurant was empty except for a few people who came in to pick up their to go orders. Hannih greeted me and asked where would I like to sit? She also brought me a menu. She explained that I had just missed the lunch specials but encouraged me to come back and try next time. I chose the sizzling platter with chicken and vegetables. The presentation was outstanding and it put a smile on my face. Joyce was super friendly and very attentive. The sizzling of this dish made me feel fuzzy inside. This will be a new spot for me to return to. It's located in the plaza with Safeway and there's plenty of accessible parking. This Labor Day Weekend gave me a little more time off so I went out for lunch near our house in Rincon Valley. The smell of fresh food and scene of a clean bar and dining room won me over when I walked in. I was greeted immediately and told I could choose my seat while the waitress finished with another customer. The lunch menu entrees included an egg roll and soup of the day. The shumai takes a little bit of time, but that is to be expected when they are made to order and steamed. The shrimp and pork filling was well worth it and I will be ordering those and other dumplings the next time I'm in. The hot and sour soup had great flavor from the peppers and vinegar, with a thick brother with chunks of tofu and mushrooms. The portion size of the Szechuan pork was definitely enough for two meals, so I packed the leftovers up after my rice was gone. This is a great place to eat in or have takeout, highly recommend if you're looking for a quick Chinese American meal. read more

We were going to eat here, but we decided that it was too expensive. It looks to be about $20 for an average entrée once you include tax and tip. If an entrée is $20 that means if you get an appetizer and a drink, your in for probably $35 a person to eat here. Even simple staple things like fried rice are very expensive. Chinese food used to be the most affordable, but it has become one of the more expensive things in town. Not worth it at all. We will just have to forgo this place on the future. read more

I might be dating myself, but do y'all remember the Mervyn's commercial with the mom at the windows tapping away saying "open open open" in anticipation of getting her shop on? That's how I've felt for MONTHS waiting for this spot to finally open. I'd casually make my morning walk stroll past the restaurant to keep tabs on progress. I looked on Yelp this morning to discover they opened yesterday! You can bet I was ready for it - it's been coming for months! As soon as my guy got home we headed over for lunch. Next time we'll order some dishes and really taste different things but this was a good palette tester. I ordered the sesame beef lunch plate with fried rice. He got the Szechuan chicken with chow mein. Lunch special today came with hot n sour soup and fried wontons. Everything was delicious. Hot and sour soup is one of our favorite dishes to order when getting chinese. Theirs does not disappoint! For me, it was the perfect texture, if that makes sense. Thick but not too thick, slightly oily (in a good way), and no meat or weird additions to it. Good heat and balanced flavor. I wish my sesame beef was a little crispier but flavor was good and fried rice didn't taste greasy. I'm so excited they are finally open and walkable from my house! Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. We go fairly often for either dinner or lunch. It's a solid addition to this side of town. Great food quality to value spend. read more

For anybody that has had good Chinese food ever in their lives would know this place is pure garbage. It's unfortunate that Santa Rosa has very limited options in terms of Chinese, dim sum, and Asian food in general. We have sat down and ate here a few times and been disappointed. I went recently just to get two orders of plain noodles for my kids to go. When I say plain I mean no meat, no vegetables, no sauce. Just plain cooked noodles. They charged me $34! They ran my credit card before telling me the price and when I asked in astonishment if the price was correct, they verified that that's what the kitchen wanted to charge. I typically get the same thing at several other Asian restaurants in the area and I'm never charged more than $5 per container, but I decided to order here since I was in the area but didn't know what they would charge me. On top of it all, they told me to 'go have a seat' on their couch while I waited for the plain noodles to be done. I waited 25 minutes before I finally stood up and went to get a status update and the noodles had been sitting there the whole time but they didn't bother to inform me. In addition, when I got home I noticed the container was warped and had holes in it because they spilled hot oil. (See photo). If you're limited to Santa Rosa and hankering for Chinese, you're better off hitting Royal China, Hang Ah Dim Sum, Ting Hau, or Goji. And if your kids are like mine, plain fried noodles from any of these places will be cheaper. My kids love the ones from Simmer, Rohnert Park the best. $4 each. I pray that one day some good Chinese food will come into the area and wipe this slovenly, low quality place off the map. read more

I tried asking if there was a difference with serving size, but I don't think the server understood my question. The dinner menu does have more food options though! F O O D: My fiancé and I ordered different specials that came with appetizer, soup of the day, and whatever dish you want. He ordered pork fried rice and I ordered orange chicken with chow mein. I couldn't tell what kind of soup we had, but we both didn't enjoy it. It tasted pretty bitter. The serving sizes of our main dishes were huge! I feel like a couple or maybe a family of four could share a couple of dishes. My orange chicken was amazing. Perfect crispness and chicken was juicy. Slightly chili spicy, moderately sour. Lots of stringy egg in it. Served with fried roll. Cabbage filled. Generic, probably bought in frozen bulk from the distributor. Sticky sweeet dipping sauce, also run-of-the-mill bottled from the factory. Szechuan pork in slivers. Moist. Just the right amount of chew. Spring onions, bamboo shoots, a few mung bean sprouts, goodly amount of freshly minced garlic. Sauce is pretty salty. Chow mien is toothy. Good quality noodles. Plenty of it. Sauce a little too same'y-same'y flavor as the pork. Hot tea ($2) is fine quality. I left the tea bag in the pot for the whole meal. The tea was not too tannic even after 20 minutes. Nice people, friendly and helpful. Conclusion: Not the fanciest nor tastiest Chinese food in Sonoma county, but well above average. Me likes! Will return for more. read more

My wife and I were staying nearby in Sonoma and we were craving some Chinese food. China Village was the highest rated restaurant as well as the closest option, so we decided to put in a Yelp order for their BBQ fried rice and their fried salt and pepper pork chop. We ordered around 6:30 p.m. and our order was ready about 20 minutes later. Of the two dishes we ordered, the fried rice was the dish I enjoyed more. It had plenty of BBQ pork and each kernel of rice was fried nicely. The rice packed the to-go container to the brim: more than enough rice for two people. Moving on to our other dish, the salt and pepper pork ribs had too many bone shards in it for me to thoroughly enjoy it. The fried onions and jalapeños in the dish were also over-salted. You'll definitely want to have a bottle of water nearby as you're eating this dish, or have a giant bowl of white rice. $34.85 was the total for these two dishes. While it's not the best Chinese food I've had, it satisfied my craving for Chinese while in the North Bay. read more

Today I decided to venture out and try something new. I am very glad I did. Upon entering China Village I noticed it was very clean and nice inside. There were 2 tables eating. My nephew and I waited as the cashier helped out a customer. A lady in the back came by and told us we could sit anywhere so we chose a table. She brought the menus and took our drink orders. It was not very busy so she stopped by a couple times to check if we were ready to order. We went with the chicken chow mein, orange chicken and eggs rolls. The food came out quickly, the egg rolls were very tasty and had the perfect crunch to them. I also appreciated that they were not super greasy. The orange crispy was very tasty, I do wish it had a little bit of a spice to it but I know that not everyone likes that so overall it was tasty. Fortunately they have siracha so that gave the meal an extra kick! The chicken chow mein was delicious, probably one of the best that I've ever had. Finally when we were done, one of the workers came over and offered to box up our food which I liked a lot. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because once we got our food nobody checked on us to see if everything came out okay or refills, which is really important. If you are a guest who does not like to be bothered, this will be the restaurant for you. I will be back to try other options on the menu. read more

I've ordered take out from this place a few times and loved the food so we tried eating in person recently and the food was still great and service was great too (though we did go during an off hour). The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Really spacious, could definitely get a big group in there! My favorite items to order are the house special fried rice and the beef with fresh mushrooms. In restaurant they serve the beef and fresh mushrooms on a sizzling plate - but trust me even in take out form it's delicious and so flavorful. And their house special fried rice is the most protein packed fried rice I've ever seen. Very generous with the protein!! Hubby is Chinese and said the flavors here are really authentic. My only criticism is that they didn't have chopsticks on the table. But regardless of that I hope this spot never closes! read more
