My coworkers and i have been closely following Gold Banh for several weeks and were able to meet up for lunch at the Glendora location. I ordered the 1 lb Tom's Famous Pastrami banh mi. It lived up to all the hype. The combinations of flavors is unique. Very different in a good way. The pastrami is premium grade, hand sliced, navel smoked pastrami. $19 for a 1/2 lb. $29 for a full pound. The food court is very nice. Free parking. Nice comfortable dining hall. Friendly staff. Well managed. Premium ingredients. Reasonable prices. Check out my pics. O ordered a 1/2 lb pastrami sandwich on rye to take home. I highly recommend Gold Banh Glendora.
Wow this sandwich does not disappoint. Came here on Saturday and ordered the lb pastrami sandwich. She cut the thick meaty slices and filled up a small metal bowl. Then she topped it with carrots, cilantro, cucumber and all the meat in the bowl. Absolutely worth 30 will be getting it again. The customer service is amazing. They are fast, friendly and courteous. The environment will have you full visually as theirs a lot of different restaurants. So if your smart come in with a group of people so you can try all at once.
I don't usually chase viral foods but if you put banh mi and pastrami together, you got me! Gold Banh is located within the Glendora Public Market and has ample parking available in the lot. There are some seats inside but I came here to grab a few banh mi to-go. I went closer to 5:00 PM and was lucky to see a small line at the time. For the pastrami banh mi, I added garlic butter (extra - $2), the "gold standard" for the toppings, and half pound. Since I was sharing, I decided to get a crispy pork belly banh mi with garlic butter and gold standard as well. The first thing I noticed right away was that both banh mi were HUGE. There was no question that the portion was shareable. When it came to the pastrami, this was honestly really good. In comparison, the pork belly was slightly underwhelming. It wasn't really that crispy versus other places that I've tried. Overall, if I had the craving, I think the Pastrami banh mi is worth revisiting. However, I'll skip out on the garlic butter next time. The banh mi also leans more towards the expensive side. American Express is accepted here.
Really nice Bahn Mi shop in the Glendora Marketplace. Ample free parking in the attached lot. Service was quick and friendly. Luckily not much of a line on a Monday at noon. Got their Pork BBQ Bahn Mi, with their standard recommended preparation, which was great. Their Pastrami Bahn Mi is fantastic. Half pound would be a regular meal for most, but if you have a huge appetite, the pound of meat would be recommended. This sandwich is quite pricy (18.99 for half, but a bit more than $30 for full pound). Viet coffee was good. Strong and not overly sweet, can't complain. Overall a pricy Bahn Mi place, but not truly fair to compare to standard Vietnamese places as the meat quality here is VERY high and much more than you'd get elsewhere (esp a comparison to Lee's where you can sometimes get a single sliver of thin meat on a bad day).
I seem to keep coming back for more! This place had been solidly dependable and the consistency of the food quality and service have not diminished. This time around, I tried the garlic rice and greens bowl with the pork belly. I found it even more refreshing than the rice paper rolled version. Same price, but less meat. Either is still great value for money.
This location is inside the Glendora Marketplace. They are open 7 days a week from 7AM to 8PM for breakfast lunch and dinner. The breakfast sandwiches have eggs, sausage or steak. Lunch and dinner menu is the same (Sandwich, Salad or Summer Rolls). I ordered the Char Siu Pork Bahn Mi sandwich $9.75, plus a combo of chips and a soft drink for $4.99 extra. The bread was toasted and outstanding, a slight crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The Gold Standard filling was the best part (cucumbers, cilantro, daikon radishes, and carrots) with pate and aioli dressing. Other protein options are Chicken, Sausage Spam, Shrimp, and Tofu. The most popular protein is the Pastrami. It looked so good, I'm still drooling over it and bookmarking this spot for a return visit. Was always curious about this place because of their pastrami banh mi so decided to grab it for dinner. One word to describe the sandwich is one bomb sandwich. The pickle veggies and pastrami go so well together. All the flavors balance each other and were really good. I got the 1/2 pastrami sandwich to share but next time I won't be sharing. Parking in a food hall is never the easier but there is extra parking down the stairs at the Bank of America.
Gold Banh is a restaurant known for their pastrami Banh Mi. At first I was skeptical of the idea, but I remember the Vietnamese put any type of meat in their sandwich. I love matcha. Their Tom's famous pastrami was very good and like other reviews the price does lean toward the expensive side. If you like good pastrami and banh mi then I would definitely recommend you try Gold Banh if you are here at the Glendora Market hall. I love matcha. :^)
First time trying the viral pastrami banh mih! This place was the only place in there with a long line so ya know it has to be the spot! Waited around 30-35 mins in line so be prepared to wait & don't come starving haha We finally got up to the front & got 2 pastrami (full) banh mihs cause my boyfriend can eat so he wanted his own lol they pack it in with quality pastrami so I was pretty pleased by that cause the sandwiches were stacked! I was a little disappointed they ran out of garlic butter cause I wanted to add that one to our buns, so I guess I'll have to come back to try it that way! I will say they were pricey @ $30 a sandwich so be prepared to spend. Was very pleased with everything! The sauces on the side the aju & the cilantro green sauce were the 2 go too's! Must get the green it was delicious with each bite! The sandwich was incredible just as I had hoped. I saved my half for my work lunch the next day & just as yummy warmed up! My boyfriend was jealous I still had some to eat the next day haha We barely made it before sell out cause maybe 10 mins after we ordered, I seen them put up the sign "they were out of pastrami" & the times to come back to come grab some! So very happy that didn't happen to us while we were in line (: Glendora public market was cute, found seating right away but I can see it being busy. Parking lot was a bit small & chaotic so that was the only downside of the market.
I love a good pastrami sandwich, and I also enjoy a good banh mi sandwich. So this was a no brainer if I was somewhat close to go and try it. Well....pastrami and banh mi DO NOT GO TOGETHER!! sorry for my honest opinion. Pastrami by itself was good. But it just doesn't mesh well with the other flavors. The service also wasn't very pleasant. The staff wasn't friendly at all! Especially the girl who made the sandwiches....she seemed like she didn't want to be there.
Overhyped to be honest. Their baguette rolls used for the Banh Mi Sandwiches are crisp yet soft. Their green cilantro-tasting sauce is perfect for adding onto the sandwiches. I think each sandwich or the ones I've tried (The Basic, Grilled Chicken) need more veggies in them stat. Also, I recently tried the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi and it had l fatty edges on each piece of grilled chicken. I guess that's how the meat comes packaged for them or not, but I didn't like it much so I was removing the fatty edges off each grilled chicken piece. And yeah this sandwich needed more veggies too. There are better Vietnamese sandwich spots out there.
I am still dreaming about that sandwich and I am eagerly waiting to see when I could go again. ITS THAT GOOD. I went last week to get a banh mi and not even the pastrami one (I generally dislike pastrami, always thought it was too salty and artery clogging). But standing in front of the meats, it looked so enticing that I had to try it. It lives up to the hype. Everything you would want in a sandwich: great bread, creamy spreads, fresh veggies, and the most tender flavorful meat. It such a fusion that on paper sounds like could be hit or miss. But it's a HIT, I promise you. Service was great, I didn't get her name but she was super nice and helpful. I am coming back soon! read more

i've been wanting to try their breakfast banh mi for a while now and finally was able to get one today. I've tried their famous pastrami a while back and it was so delicious and packed with meat! the breakfast banh mi was yummy, but i was a bit disappointed to see that i only got two pieces of spam, i saw the pics on yelp and it looks like some pics there's two spams stacked on top of each other when cut in half view. i enjoyed the sandwich a lot though! read more

very delicious satisfied my cravings ... parking is limited and line is long though .. i highly recommend the Tom's pastrami... Ordered the a full pound ..meat is so moist and tender... great to pair with their calamansi juice or an IPA ... i only finished the half .. saving it for my workday lunch lol... read more

Wow starting off what caught me about this place was one the advertising, very eye catching and being there aren't many Banh mi places around Covina, I just had to hit them up. Upon arrival, the place looks really well organized and clean, staff were all very friendly and I enjoyed the fact I get to see them make the Banh mi. Now onto the food, I had to get the cold cut since to me that's the original Banh mi I grew up on and if it doesn't hold up I can't say much but geez it blew me outta the water. The cold cut is nicely thin cut with crisp veggies as well the mayo and pate were legit, not that Kraft mayo or best food mayo, but Banh mi mayo . Legit reminds me of my childhood, and for the price too!! I think $8-9 I can't remember but god dang it's fire and I'm only gonna go there now for the cold cut. I must point out the obvious option that stood out to me had to be the pickled jalapenos! For years I've pondered why it was never on a banh mi, but DANG, it's an option here and a good option too, super tangy and vinegary which can cut through lots of rich or fatty meat. Last review was on the pastrami which was the main show, my gosh it was a mouth full and super rich and moist. It was perfect! Well for me, haha too much meat I ordered. There is an option for I believe one pound or a half but my big back chose a pound cause why not and for the price it was really justified for me. Enough to feed two-three people. So next time imma get half a pound but the place destroyed my expectations. I really wish this business with lots of luck and success cause I hope to continue coming here for many years read more
This is my 2nd time visiting this place after seeing it show up on my instagram. Both visits I got Tom's famous pastrami sandwich, it's very feeling, the taste is amazing not your typical pastrami. The service was great, pretty much everything for you to say yes or no. This is located in a food court so there's a variety of food but why would want to miss out this sandwich. I wished I have more people with to try their other food. This is worth the drive and wait. read more
Gold Banh (Glendora) is elevated fast food. It's not awful, but its industry line process reminds me of a Subway McDonalds hybrid. I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich ($10.95). The food arrived picturesque, but as I munched, my gleeful smile slowly broke into a disgusted frown. Its protein tasted like a mouthful of old salt. I couldn't find a nearby trashcan, so I reluctantly swallowed. I arrived at Gold Banh (Glendora) on Tuesday (around 11:35AM). It's located inside the Public Glendora Market. Parking was plentiful and convenient during this time. There was no line at Gold Banh (Glendora). Customers order at the left glass side. The staff at Gold Banh (Glendora) stared listlessly. The energy was very reminiscent of burnt out high schoolers. I stood for four minutes as they actively tried to not make eye contact. When I finally spoke up, staff followed with a "wait a moment." After a few minutes, staff reluctantly helped me. I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich ($10.95). I had also inquired about the "duck protein," but staff explained that they "got rid of duck" because it's seasonal. Similar to Subway, staff slid the sandwich down as they plopped the premade resting ingredients. The food took four minutes and 18 seconds. As mentioned, I disliked this Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich ($10.95). The protein tasted old, processed, & salty. It eventually overpowered all the other ingredients until all I tasted were mouthfuls of salt. However, there is some merit to Gold Banh (Glendora). The bread is unique and picturesque for a banh; that bread is comparable to a pizza dough's thin crust with a golden undercarriage. Next, the garlic sauce is prominent and addictive. Lastly, the wetness from its fresh vegetables attempts to bring a much needed balance to this dry meal. Unfortunately, it fails. Regarding ambiance, Gold Banh (Glendora) is located inside the Public Glendora Market. There's plenty of tables inside. The location is relatively clean, and it's well-ventilated. Overall, Gold Banh (Glendora) serves picturesque sandwiches. The food is pretty to stare at, but its taste felt hit-or-miss. If curious, try with low expectations. 2.8 out of 5 read more

I was looking forward to this place but it turned out to be just okay. I got the Cold Cut Bahn mi, thinking this was closest to a cold cut deli meat bahn mi. It was pretty basic. Not bad, and I could taste the pate, but it didn't seem to have a mix of meats. There's another sandwich actually called the "Basic" with cold cuts and char sui (bbq pork). Perhaps that one has more going for it, but to me that's not an ingredient in a cold cut, deli. Also tried the grilled pork and again, it was okay. They're solid sandwiches, but the bread had a lot of "chew" to it. I ate the whole sandwich my jaw was kind of tired from chewing. There was a decent line for a Wednesday night and it seemed to be moving, but it did seem to take longer to get our order. It's in Glendora Public Market so there's plenty of seating. Parking is pretty limited, though. So plan accordingly. read more
I have been to Gold Banh (GB) three to four times within a two week period. I am hooked on their amazing sandwiches. I want to try all of them. GB is located inside the Glendora Public Market. It is adjacent to And Broth. Guess what? They are both owned by the same owner. What I love about GB is their fresh bread. It tastes and looks different compared to other Vietnamese sandwiches. It's so good! Each sandwich is made from scratch using the freshest ingredients right in front of you. Of course there is a big clear glass between you and them LOL. Besides their signature sandwiches, you may build your own vermicelli salad bowl or spring rolls. I have yet to try their bowl... maybe one day I will give them a try. I make my own spring rolls so I won't be trying theirs. =) I've tried these four sandwiches so far... 1. The Breakfast Sando (THICC Cut Spam with Fried Eggs) 2. Pork Belly Sandwich (Crispy Crackling Roasted Pork Belly) 3. Grilled Chicken Sandwich (Lemongrass Grilled Chicken) 4. Sai Gon Sandwich (Cold Cut, Char Siu, Grilled Pork, Jambon, & Pork Floss) If I had to rank them from best to not so great... 1. The Breakfast Sando takes home the GOLD (spam and eggs make such a great combo... SO GOOD!) 2. Pork Belly Sandwich gets the SILVER (pork belly could have been crispier) 3. Sai Gon Sandwich holds the BRONZE (too much meat in one... it was way too busy IMHO) 4. Unfortunately, Grilled Chicken Sandwich didn't make the cut (chicken + sauce didn't taste right). Staff was okay. Service was decent. Ambiance is cool. They have a rewards program, but you have to give them your phone number. I wished they would have told me sooner cause I've already spent some good moola before signing up LOL. All in all, I enjoyed their sandwiches very much. I wish they will bring back the duck at least for a limited time. Anyway, I'll be back to try their other great sandwich and bowl creations. Btw, garlic bread is basically a splash of garlic oil on top of the regular bread... it will cost you an extra $1. I wasn't informed that it will cost extra until after I saw the receipt. I don't think it's worth the extra money... I didn't taste any garlic whatsoever... all I got was a shiny bread. =( read more
Located inside the Glendora Public Market. Saw they had a grand opening so decided to check them out. A nice little area serving up a variety of Bánh mì, Salad Bowl, and Summer Rolls. You tell them what you want to order and they make it in front of you. They have a variety of meats to choose from. The item that caught my eyes was the Roasted Duck Bánh mì (The Sam Woo). I had roasted duck before, but never in a Bánh mì, so had to give that a try. It was so good! I highly recommend it. Since this is a food hall, the Ambiance is alright. What can you expect from a food hall, right? I have not try their summer rolls yet, might come back in the future. read more
Got to try the pastrami banh mi that I saw on instagram. It did not disappoint! Looked just like I expected and was full of flavor. So yummy and the staff was friendly. Sandwich was huge so I took other half home. I think it is worth the $20 price tag. In a very nice food hall with lots of tables/chairs. read more
Oh this is so good. Just went today and didnt even know its inside a food court. This place has some new restaurants/booths and they are not the big chains you see in most malls. I ordered the crispy pork belly and my friend ordered the roast beef, both in sandwiches. Bread is really good, meat is really good and their pickled vegetables are awesome as well. The beef is soft and super juicy and my crispy pork belly is super crispy even till the last bite. Very reasonable price as well! Cheaper than Jersey mikes and Ike's for sure. I dont live near there but if i do, i would be a regular for sure. read more
Was very excited to try Gold Banh from their Instagram posts, but it didn't live up to the hype. We arrived on a Saturday around 1pm. The line took about 30 minutes. When we ordered, we learned that many items were no longer offered or were sold out: crunchy rolls, che thai, duck, garlic bread, and the green sauce. We ordered a vermicelli bowl, a spicy basic sandwich, and a full pastrami sandwich. We then waited another 45 minutes for our order to be ready. It was very challenging because we could see that the employees didn't know how to assemble the dishes. They needed to read the recipe or ask each other what to do. Also we can see that they were not consistent either. Once our food was ready. They ran out of chopsticks. So the lady told me to get chopsticks from another restaurant. Now to the food. The vermicelli was super cold and hard. The basic was basic and not spicy as ordered. The pastrami sandwich was the best item we ordered. The pastrami meat was tender and juicy. The hearty bread went well with the pastrami. They added a lot of sour things to the pastrami sandwich: mustard, pickled daikon, pickled carrots, and pickled onion. So overall the pastrami sandwich was very sour. And not balanced. The service took forever and they didn't have inventory of a lot of things. The person taking orders was stressed out while those assembling the dishes took a long time. The meats were good, but the other ingredients were not in harmony in each dish. read more

Growing up in the San Gabriel Valley, and having tried numerous banh mi sandwiches I could say this place without a doubt is the middle of the road at best. The best part of the experience honestly was the service. I saw a bunch of hype videos on TikTok so I thought I'd give this place a shot. The pork belly was a mediocre at best, and the extra charge for the greasy bread is absolutely ridiculous. You're gonna hold my feet to the fire for $.35 Sorry, I really tried to like it. I'd rather visit a Lees sandwich, shop for half the price and probably get a better sandwich. Keep trying you guys read more

4.5 - a pastrami banh mi? Say less! This Vietnamese sandwich was LOADED with meat. I ordered the Tom's Famous Pastrami Full and it was delicious. The sandwich is personalizable so you can add or remove items you don't like. But one thing doesn't change, the amount of meat they shove in, just look at them struggling to wrap her up Very tasty, but honestly didn't feel exactly like a banh mi to me, but just a really good sandwich. And at $26 the price is pretty steep but could definitely be split into 2 meals read more

Finally got to try the Breakfast Sand! I saw it first on one of the food influencers I follow and knew I had to try it. I believe from 7am-11am it's on a discounted price! Out of everything, I'd agree with everyone's review about the bread. Super good! I'm not sure if the person who helped me was the owner, but he was kind, and the next worker who came in greeted me. In terms of service, I was happy with it! I did go around 10am where the parking was plentiful, but it is a smaller lot than other food halls I've been too. Since living and working on the East side, a good banh mi sandwich has been actually quite difficult to find. We will usually drive to SGV or OC for banh mi, but with Gold Banh I can finally satisfy that craving! Gold Banh offers a Subway-like system of assembly of banh mi sandwiches. You can customize your sandwiches to your chosing which is great! It does take longer to make since they make everything fresh, including toasting of the bread. But I have called ahead during lunch and my sandwich was ready exactly on time. So far I've tried the Basic and 3 Little Pigs. The sandwiches are packed full of meat and veggies! I also like how generous they are with the pate! Everything I've ordered has been crispy and very tasty! Delicious spring rolls here! 10/10 would recommend their crispy pork one. Decent in size and loaded with lots of fresh veggies. It wasn't too dense and my son loved their nem nuong roll. Their fish sauce has a little more acid than other places, which I loved! Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their other stuff. read more
A dedicated place for the banh mi and so close to home! This is the latest and greatest add to Glendoras food hall. A menu with so many choices and includes breakfast. Here for an early dinner we tried the piggy smalls and the pork it over. Prepared as you order the sliced pork was looking crispy and delicious. The baguette is toasted just before the sandwich is assembled. You can also for $1 more have the bread prepared as "garlic bread" it's a brush of garlic butter. A spread of pate then the veggies and picked radish without jalapeños over the crispy pork belly - excellent! The baguette was toasty and warm and stuffed. Satisfying light dinner. If you're not looking for a 4 course meal and just want that delicious sandy aka banh mi - try this place out! Service is friendly but there is a slight wait while your banh mi is prepared. For the pastrami sandwich, they actually weight the pastrami before it goes through the assembly line. Look really neat! Service: Staffers were friendly and offered great suggestions. Banh mi sandwich didn't take long to make. Food Of Choice: 1) Tom's Half Pound Pastrami Gold Standard Garlic Banh Mi ($16.99 + $1 garlic bread = $17.99): Got the 1/2 pound pastrami with their 6 inch garlic french roll. The gold standard garnishes included: Chicken pate, garlic aioli, mustard, mustard seeds, pickled carrots and daikon, pickled red onions, cilantro, and cucumbers. I decided to have it without the mustard seeds and mustard. The sandwich was very good. Everything from the pastrami to the garnishes blending really well. Gold Banh For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back if I didn't do the driving. lol I think this place will do well in Glendora. There's just to many banh mi/vietnamese food closer to where I live. read more

Saw this place on Instagram reels!! Gotta try this place out if you're wondering. This place is fricking delicious. The bahn mi sandwich itself is jampacked with flavors and super delicious. We got three orders of the piggy smalls. One piggy small it's $10.50 without taxes that is such a steal. The portion size is very big prices are amazing. Service was absolutely great. Definitely would recommend coming here and ordering a piggy small. The vegetable bread and everything altogether is absolutely fresh. I love the taste of the cilantro because it's crispy and fresh as well as the carrots and vegetables that come inside with it. My uncle, who brought me here wish there was Vietnamese coffee sold at this place unfortunately they don't have it, but that's OK. Maybe they will in the future. Drove all the way from San Fernando Valley, but originally traveling from San Francisco definitely would fly back down here to come to Glendora to visit Gold banh again. Thank you gold Banh staff. Thank you to the creative mind who brought this gem to the Glendora Public Market--this place is seriously that good! I was running errands in the area and couldn't resist stopping by again to try something new. Twice in one week for breakfast... no shame. Today, I went for the Vietnamese sausage and eggs breakfast sandwich, and I left completely satisfied--happy belly, happy me. The bright, pickled veggies are the perfect contrast to the buttery, rich Vietnamese aioli. The sausage came in thicc cut slices, and you can choose between garlic bread or the traditional French roll. The OG French roll is already the perfect vessel to pack in the flavors and it brings a load of texture, but I have a feeling the garlic bread would take it to the next level. There's plenty of seating inside the Glendora Public Market, and morning service is quick. Definitely worth checking out for a delicious way to start your day! read more
YEEE! Gold Banh is currently open and in the soft opening phase, but Grand Opening is supposed to be July 26th. Gold Banh is managed by the same owner of And Broth. I remember speaking to the owner a few months ago and he mentioned they were taking over this space to make it a Banh Mi spot. Fast forward to today and it's been open for a bit now. There are some tables next to the register and counter top seating. Dropped in during the early morning hours before work to get the breakfast sandwich deals. I wanted to try the Breakfast Sando which was $7.50. Certain breakfast sandwiches are served from 7-11AM. The staff working was very kind and attentive as he was making my sandwich. Total came out to $8.08 before tip! Great Deal! The "Breakfast Sando" is packed with 2 eggs and THICC cut spam with all the traditional Banh Mi fixings. You can also get sauce in the sandwich or on the side. I opted for the Aji Verde. First bite and upon first sight of opening up the sando, its stacked up! The bread is so crispy, crunchy and flaky and with the combo of spam and eggs its a true breakfast in every bite. A solid Banh Mi, The pate spread is tremendous and the Aji Verde sauce paired very well. The Banh Mi tasted as good as it looked which is what you want! Top Tier Banh Mi sandwich. Not your average banh mi joint. I got lucky when I went it was only 1 person in front of me. As soon as I got my banh mi, 15 people lined up. The pastrami is juicy, tender, flavorful. Half pound is perfect for me. Idk how people eat a whole pound lol. read more

Gold banh has a 14 hr tender smoked pastrami that's stuffed in a garlic baguette and topped with pate, mayo, mustard, and Vietnamese pickled veggies. The combination of flavors is insane and as you can tell, they really load it up. I tried the pastrami on its own and can confirm it was delicious. $16.99 for half pound and $25.99 for the full pound. (I got the full) If you're not that big of a big back don't worry I highly recommend their spring rolls. Theyre sliced and rolled to order. The Pastrami Bahn Mi is delicious. It's a great fusion and honestly I like this combination of flavors more than Langer's 19, which is still good, but I like the uniqueness of this more. Price range and amount of meat also does seem slightly more as well, and you don't need to head to LA. read more

I tried the pastrami banh mi and it was super filling. The pastrami was tasty and the portions were generous. You can share one banh mi with 2 people. The staff were friendly. You can get the banh mi as a combo of either 2 eggrolls or potato chips. Drinks come in a can. There is a good amount of seats in the food hall. Parking can be a pain so be prepared to circle around the lot multiple times. read more

Ordered on GrubHub. I ordered the crispy pork banh, chips and lemonade. The food was hot and the meat was well seasoned. The skin was crispy and fatty the way I like it. The vegetables were fresh and the bread was a little crumbly. The sandwiches come with mustard, pate, pickled veggies and something they call pork jerky. You can pay extra for garlic bread but since this was my first time I chose the original bread. The only thing I was not a fan of was the pate they add to the sandwich. It was a little livery for my taste and yes I know it was probably liver. I would not get that in the future. The chips were good but some were not cooked all the way. The lemonade was cold and sweet and perfectly tart. Overall Solid meal. read more

First time trying a pastrami banh mi and was impressed. That's the meat for half lb. There's also an option for full lb. The pate and veggies are good. I get everything gold standard style with all the toppings. Theres an option to get the bread with garlic. Worth it. The pastrami is my favorite one there. The crispy pork was my least favorite cause the skin wasn't as crispy as I wanted it to be. But still good. The basic and Saigon are good options if you want something to go. They also sell summer rolls and vermicelli bowls. Great customer service. Would recommend. read more
I love a sandwich. I especially love any sandwich that is held up in a crust, fluffy bread. Gold Banh has perfect bread. I ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches mid-morning: the Steak and Eggs and Good Morning. I was deeply impressed by the simplicity, yet how delicious both sandwiches are. Both sandwiches were so tasty, the proteins were perfectly balanced by the pickled veg and peppers. Needless to say, I'd like another breakfast sandwich. And I'm looking forward to trying their other sandwiches in the near future. It's a great addition to the Glendora Public Market. The staff were super friendly. My only tiny complaint was that it took a bit of time for the sandwiches to come out (about 15 minutes or so). read more
very rarely do you pull up to a viral spot, and find it as delicious as the videos make it out to be. it's usually overrated, overhyped, and just falls flat. not here fam. this place is everything the videos make it out to be and more. most of the posts am going around highlight the pastrami sandwich and that is exactly what you should get. the sandwich itself is well put together and they definitely do not skimp on the toppings. the pickled carrots, daikon and onion add a great flavor to the sandwich and everything combined just meshes so well together. the pastrami is tender and flavorful and dare i say, the best in socal? i have yet to find a pastrami sandwich i like more. don't @ me. as some of the reviews have stated, they do sell out and run out from time to time, so be sure to go early. there also may be a bit of w wait due to the hype, but they're definitely well worth the wait. i will definitely be back. tom, you're a food genius man. props to you and your team! read more
Parking can be limiting but I got there early and there were a few spots left. Gold Manh is located in a food hall so plenty of seating. Friendly service as you get to warch your sandwich being made. I ordered Tom's pastrami to see what the hype was all about. OMG. It was delicious. I'm not a pastrami fan either but the meat was tender, flavorful and thick. I ordered the 8 oz. serving SNF that was plenty enough. Can you imagine if I ordered a pound????? The meat went well with all the side fixings. Highly recommend this sandwich. Came specifically for the pastrami banh mi, but unfortunately they had already run out of bread by 6:50 PM. For a spot that specializes in banh mi, that was disappointing and unexpected at that hour. I ended up ordering the pastrami bowl instead and also tried the pastrami and pork belly spring rolls. The pastrami itself was outstanding--rich, flavorful, and easily the best in the area. It paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables and their calamansi sauce dip, which really brought everything together. The location inside Glendora Marketplace is convenient, with decent parking available. Overall, the food quality is excellent and I would definitely recommend the spot, but better supply planning would go a long way--running out of bread around 6pm is hard to overlook. read more

I love the Glendora Public Market, and I've been seeing that there is a new restaurant running ads on IG, so I really wanted to try! Gold Banh is amazing for those who like the Bahn Mi style sandwiches, or build your own Spring Rolls. They have several types of meat like Char Sui Pork, Beef Steak, Shrimp, and Spam. Everything I try has amazing flavor. Today we tried the Beef Steak Sandwich with Garlic Bread. The bread is so tasty by itself. They then add several sauces and call it "the Gold Standard" - the only change I make is "no spicy" and that I add pickled onions. Their pickled carrots and daikon are crunchy and fresh, the pickled onions are sweet. The warm sandwich definitely leaves you wanting more. The staff is really friendly, and everything is very clean. If they are behind on orders, they will have you pay and make it in order. This does sometimes take a while. But it is definitely worth the wait. So take your receipt and go find a table, walk around the market and see if you want anything else!! read more

Starting off 2026 right !! Came here for the Toms pastrami bahn mi !! Definitely a must try. Could only eat half and it was amazing !! I would recommend only getting half pound though. The full pound was too much meat. I probably wouldn't get the spring rolls again. They use salad mix and my ancestors are rolling in their grave. lol jk, not kidding. I think it lacked flavor imo. The service was good, but not so friendly. I will say we came close to closing time so I understand. The ambiance was in a food court setting. I think the court is clean and there are lots of places to choose from. I would come again for the sandwich only !! read more

Absolutely phenomenal pastrami banh mi! I split the 1/2 lb with my friend. Everything was just so perfect about it: the pastrami meat was so tender, seasoned very well, and wasn't too fatty. The meat to veggie ratio was really good for the 1/2 lb, and I loved the pate and mustard seed spread they used! It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already craving another pastrami banh mi from here. Parking can get hectic with a medium sized parking lot - we came on a Sunday at 12pm and was very very lucky to find parking. read more

It was just that Monday. We were completely sold out of everything due to how busy the weekend was. We had to prep everything in the morning and waited for our delivery for our ingredients to arrive.
