Absolutely lovely purveyor of teas and spices in downtown Salinas. Each drink is individually made, and the customer service was great. The staff took their time to explain each ingredient and how each drink is crafted. This is a truly unique establishment in that many hard-to-find ingredients are included in the tea blends. Drinks can be ordered to go, or you may linger and enjoy at the bar. Bulk teas are sold as well, including many that are truly unique. Highly recommended.

A true gem!!!! A marble counter with nice bar seats and a wide array of delectable classy teas you can have iced or hot. What more do I want? They even have a very wide selection of non-caffeinated and herbal/medicinal teas. They can do iced in large glass bell jars or take out or hot. And they also have plant based milks. I loved our tea barista. She was very informed and patient. I tried a fruit tea from Germany no sugar with a tad of honey over ice. Very Yum and nostalgic for me.

This place is a hidden gem! During my pregnancy I had a tough time finding raspberry leaf & nettle leaf. I walked by it one day on my way to the downtown bookstore, they have all of their dried teas on display in glass jars on the wall. Sitting at the bar staring at all these amazing teas the tea-tender was super knowledgeable and very welcoming! I took a shot in the dark and asked if they had what I'd been looking for. They did! I bought a once of each and she blended them together for me and customized my very own pregnancy tea! I was so excited! They have a book with everything they have and what they are known to help heal. I've gone back and created a liver detox tea, cold & flu tea and a coffee replacement tea. I cannot get over this place. It's one of a kind that has beautiful intention in what they do and offer. Iced or hot, sit at the bar or by the window and enjoy yourself. Two thumbs up!

It's a Cool spot . I love tea . They have WAY a to many varieties. If that's what you like then Cool . It's small . I don't recommend you takes kids there . Parking isn't the best . You might have to walk to get there . It's right in the mix of south main bars and restaurants. A bit pricey I'd say .

Gold Leaf Spice Teas is such a fun place to get creative with your tea. The staff is so awesome here. They are very knowledgeable and know all about the teas! Caffeine free herbal teas are a lot more limited but you still have a wide variety and can always mix and match. The portions are very big and the price is very reasonable. I would recommend getting the larger size since it's a better deal. I got a large tea and a ginger shit for $7. They also offer a loyalty card so your tenth drink is free. My favorite thing to order here is a ginger shot with no milk. If you have a sore throat it will make you feel so much better.

I immediately had my husband take that exit and check it out. When I saw artichokes artichokes and more artichokes,, I was sold. I went there to look and see what they had. We found so many amazing items! We purchased pasta sauce, artichoke salsa, artichoke focaccia, bread, artichoke bread, artichoke sweet bread, like banana bread, but with artichokes, we bought actual artichokes, artichoke pizza, and mushroom pizza, frozen deep-fried artichokes, a Japanese black watermelon, a cactus plant, artichoke raviolis, and some amazing soft English muffins. Very unique. I know it was a lot, but we don't live close by so we wanted to stock up. What I really like about this place is the friendly people there especially Sara and there was another gal that unfortunately I didn't get her name and the fact that all the artichoke items are from the artichoke fields there and they support local/family bakers and businesses. We also went to the "Choke Coach" it was recommended by Sara. It was on the premises and it was a food truck that primarily sold artichoke related items. I ordered the three artichoke tacos, which were amazing and the grilled artichokes with a lime cilantro dip. Very yummy! My husband ordered a bratwurst sandwich. The people working there, Maria and Bety we're very friendly and great cooks and customer service I was so glad we made that turn off the freeway! This place is a true gem. They also have cornhole to play while you're waiting for your food or just want to enjoy some fun for a minute. There was a cute, big chair for a Kodak moment

They have such an assortment of just about everything! We bought some cheese, salami and some bakery items. Such a well organized and clean place. I could have spent $1000.00 in there ! While checking out, out the cashier Mary had us laughing about picking the crops(artichokes) , her grown kids, school and college. She had my granddaughters laughing. We will definitely stop there again! There is also a small truck selling Elote corn and a few other items. If you're nearby, please stop and check this place out! Say Hi to Mary. She has been there 30 years.

The restaurant has a great drink selection and a great menu. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a Tuesday dinner special that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $32! This menu also had a special drink selection. I ordered the house salad, prawn risotto, and chocolate lava cake. The salad was very fresh with spring mix and butter lettuce, which I especially enjoy, and it was topped with a light vinaigrette style house dressing that was light and delicious. The prawn risotto was creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chocolate lava cake was rich and very chocolatey, a bit too rich for my personal taste, but still enjoyable. It also came with vanilla gelato, which was delicious. As a table, we also ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was such a fun and unique experience. I am a tiramisu connoisseur, so anytime I see it on the menu, I ordered it. It is my favorite dessert. Although this was not my favorite one, I very much enjoyed the experience. I will mention the espresso needs a little more time to fully soak into the ladyfingers, but the presentation and experience alone made it worth trying. The ambiance was lovely with nice background music, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Everyone in our party truly enjoyed their meal, especially the birthday girl. Overall, Patria is a fantastic dinner spot in Salinas, and I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

Calamari appetizer was great and my pork chop was too. Service was equally great as it was prompt and accompanied. I'll be back soon, so if you haven't tried Patria yet, you should.

I was genuinely blown away by the difference. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. I had the Alfredo and the rigatoni, and both were solid. The pizza wasn't my favorite part of the meal, but the bread with the dipping oil and the rest of the food more than made up for it. They also have filtered regular water and filtered soda water, which I definitely appreciate. Somehow that small detail always tells me a place cares. The next time I'm back in Monterey, I'll definitely stop here again. Also, just a heads-up I had a better time here, made better memories, and still spent less than I did at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. At least here, the food was actually worth looking at.

It's been many years since my last visit, back when I was engaged, but I had been hoping to return this year. Some of my favorite memories are from this place. He was patient and knew the menu, and offered options when he saw our reactions as we tried to decide. The chef even walked out and offered to make the bolognese from scratch and omit the mushrooms. From start to finish the whole Mangia team was great, and it made me happy to see how they treated one another. The dishwasher came up a few times to swap the trays and everyone got along, and I noticed the chef made them each something to eat as the restaurant was closing. As for the food, good Salinas option. The Nonna appetizer was a bruschetta with pistacho, fresh ricotta, and honey. Delicious. Beet salad was good, hearty beets, mixed greens, and balsamic. It was over dressed for my taste, but hubby loved it. I wasn't a huge fan the cheese they used, it was a harder salty cheese in small cubes. I got the penne with a really subtle lemon cream sauce, grilled chicken, and broccoli. Came out hot and it was a generous portion, waiter offered some fresh cheese so took that of course. I'd order it again, but don't think it was the best pasta dish I have ever had. Chicken Parmesan was cooked fresh, and came with the penne and marina. In my opinion the marina was under seasoned, but I'm generally heavy on the garlic and basil. I don't know I'd label it as a culinary hot spot, but the food was good, and made by good people. I appreciate the atmosphere and we will definitely be back.
