We spent quite a bit of time at this casino during our stay in the area. We were hungry and wanted to try the cafe and use some of our player card rewards. It is located in the casino in the back corner. They were not busy when we were there, and we were seated quickly when we walked in. The server was friendly and helpful and sat us in a booth. The menu had a wide variety of options including breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings that were served all day. My husband ordered breakfast including chicken fried steak and eggs while I chose the Six Mile burger that was mushroom and swiss with French fries. My burger was very good and hit the spot. The patty was cooked as I ordered it and the mushrooms were tasty with the swiss cheese. The fries were battered and seasoned and tasted good as well. My husband like his steak and eggs also. We were looking for a restaurant along the way and spotted this place. First time impression: You have to be local to know where the restaurant inside the casino is located. Server not attentive and seem detached. She took our order, served and never check on us until I waved to her to ask for a to-go box and our check. Food was delicious and hot. The restaurant was small and well maintained. There was not a lot of people when we came but eventually people started showing up. Overall, it was not want for the food, rating will be one star so I will not come back here again. read more

Great service from Marilyn in the morning. I love it opens at 8 am. Best french toast and Denver omelet. Second to none. Always friendly service and breakfast till 2 pm. This place was so to come to before this damn COVID came into play. It's sad to see service drop and food quality diminish, I just ordered a simple burger and got a burned hockey puck! Been a couple times now and the food is pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised. Good service and food was fresh and hot.

Service was good, not great. Food was ok not great. 2 burgers were overcooked and all 3 were blackened on the outsides. It's edible but cannot recommend unless your in the casino already and famished. I really won't be coming back unless dragged out here. Ambiance=casino snack bar with less than usual options. Called and asked if I could place an order and was told they don't allow you to pick up orders but you can carry out (the only difference is she can't take payment over the phone or take your order and simply have you pay when you get there like any other business). I took 4 ladies to dinner here tonight. Strike one, hostess could not keep list of people or tables straight. Then we had the misfortune to be seated at a table where Rhythm was our waitress. Strike two, she brought us our drinks very slowly and no silverware. I asked her for silverware three times, the last time AFTER our meals arrived. Not promptly, She brought the 5 sets of silverware and napkins and dropped them in front of me instead of distributing them. Then she said "things are really going slow tonight." I replied, you should have told us that when you first came to our table. Strike three, separate issue, it took 25 minutes from the time we ordered for our food to arrive. My fried chicken was cold. To cap the evening off the cashier asked me how things were. I replied that it was awful because Rhythm was our waitress. She asked what could she do to make things right, I said fire Rhythm. She and another staff person at the register said " Friday is her last day". I asked them if they realized how many customers meals she had ruined tonight? Then I was introduced to Nicole who was running the register as the person who would be replacing Rhythm. So I guess a Rhythm will be mishandling their customers for two more nights. Suggest staying away from her tables. Inexcusable that management lets her continue to work knowing that she is incompetent AND the other staff know what a problem she creates. Well, the last three times I have been in this restaurant, the food has been good - but the service is absolutely abhorrent. For starters, the servers have lost our order on two separate occasions - even though we ask where our order is and they say that the cooks messed up - no one seems too concerned about fixing the problem for 45 minutes or so. The waitstaff were extremely apologetic, however, they are extremely shorthanded - and easily overwhelmed. Dinner special nights for the win! Came on prime rib night, around 7:30. The specials start at 4pm, so we thought we were post-rush. Actually we got there as as the rush hour people are trying to leave, pay, and get to go boxes. So there was a wait getting seated. Expected. It's a special deal night. We were sat after a short wait, and then waited for server & then our waters. The good part was that the $6.99 prime rib was so tender and Juicy it was all well worth the wait! Don't get the rice, it's a little crunchy and clumped together. Baked potato & green beans on the side for the win! I've never finished a prime rib in my life, not being a big beef eater, but I cleaned my plate it was so tender! Be prepared for the wait, and the extra smokey place since its a busier night. This is a nice little casino, but unless you are a regular and the staff knows you by name, don't get your hopes up about winning any of their promotional drawings or giveaways. I have been their for several of their promotional events and it's always the same five people who win and often times multiple times in one night. They never call names that are difficult to pronounce, which makes it seem less random and therefore legit, and more like a way to give kickbacks to their daily regular clients. If they were serious about drawing more of a crowd or at least being more inclusive to the casual gambler, they would limit it to one prize per person per night that would give other people the chance to win as well. Just a suggestion, other than that the machines pay out pretty well and the staff is friendly not a lot of riff raff hanging around either which is nice and the rv park is clean and convenient. read more

Went to dinner tonight with my husband and son. 4 tables had people so it was pretty slow. Service was quick. The reason for the rating is my dinner... I ordered the chicken alfredo and it was almost not edible. I don't like to complain about food and will eat most anything. But this was disappointing and disgusting. Stopped there yesterday with a friend. We thought we would try the taco plate. She got beef I got chicken When the food got to our table it was disgusting. Came in for dinner on Sunday with my wife. We both got burgers, as per the server recommendation, that were cooked to perfection. Well seasoned, and cooked to just the right temperature. Waitress Brianna was friendly, funny and very tentative despite being fairly busy. After letting her know how excellent we thought the food was she informed us that her cook for the night "definitely does some mean burgers". I would give -5 stars if I could. The last few times we've eaten here, the food has been horrible. The poor waitress works like crazy to serve and there's 1 cook. The food is over cooked, dry, and clearly OLD and not made fresh! They only allow 10 people inside due to lack of staff. Update: Took the family to Gold Ranch restaurant a week ago, and they now have a solid policy to charge $1. to go per meal surcharge for any To-Go orders...I was pretty surprised, I was advised it was because they get too busy and are trying to turn away To-Go orders. I was also advised they don't do To-Go orders on the weekends??? REALLY, we like to frequent their restaurant and it has been few and far between that the place has been over 50% capacity. So not sure what the management team is doing? Though, turning away business and charging surcharges for take-out orders (per item/entree, REALLY) doesn't sound like a good business decision to me. I will stop telling friends and family to go there. We wouldn't want to overwhelm them. Poor business decision in my opinion. I guess we will have to find another breakfast spot. Bummer. read more

My wife and I go to the Como Café quite often, usually at least once per month or more. In fact, we used to go before the Gold Ranch took over the Casino, so we have a lot of experience with this Café. We like the Como Café. The food has always been good, with one exception, and the service has been very good. I have read many of the reviews here and can't understand the one star ratings. Yes, you can get "better" food at places like Mimi's or Olive Garden, but the Como isn't competing with those places. The prices are better than the more upscale eating places. I don't think it is fair to compare the Como with national chain restaurants. The restaurant is open to smoke coming in from the Casino area, and I am highly allergic to smoke. Walking through the Casino can be a challenge, but once inside the restaurant away from the door the amount of smoke isn't objectionable to me although I must say I don't like it. But that's the breaks in life. It doesn't kill me to put up with the small amount of smoke that enters the Café. My wife usually has the hot beef dip and salad, and she thinks it is very good. I usually have a patty melt and it is at least a B to B+ grade in my book. I have tried other, more unusual dishes, and I have not been lucky in that regard. I try a lot of new dishes at many restaurants and often have a problem with the taste, so that really isn't a knock on the Como. We often eat breakfast at the Como and that has always been excellent. Our server tonight is very sweet and understanding. She was working hard to balance all the tables she had to serve. Our complaint is not in regards to our servers abilities, but rather Gold Ranch's false advertising and refusal to honor their own specials listed on their website. I can truly say I am extremely disappointed that you find a wonderful breakfast special that says it is served all day on the day you are looking at, only to find out that (as the supervisor says) "marketing should be informed right away to get this changed and it can't be honored as the kitchen does not have ingredients to cook breakfast". I understand that cooking many different types of food during a service can be difficult. However if a business is going to advertise such food being offered, they should at least be willing to correct their mistake. The supervisors lack of customer service is truly a disappointment to our community. Can't go wrong with 2-4-1 night. Double pork chops with apple sauce, mashed potato and corn on the cob. Coconut jumbo shrimp with mashed potato and corn on the cob. Then we mixed it up by sharing.
