We were there in early May. The staff was awesome. Really good beer served while you're gambling. They take the time to get to know you. The grill-we had chicken wings and they were the meaty pieces. So good. We're heading back for Hot August Nights in August and will definitely be back to Siri's!

A small casino with apparently no table games. It all just looked like slots. Siri's Casino is a newer place in downtown Reno. Much cleaner than the older ones. The bad thing is there's not as many games you can play. It pretty much is a slots only casino. It does also have a cafe where you can get fairly cheap drinks and food. They have a popular happy hour. Get something to eat if you feel like making a bet. This has diner style stuff like burgers and fries, so if you want something to munch on while playing then come here. Customers often mention the food. It's fast food and cheap greasy kind of stuff mostly. The place stinks but it's mostly clean though.

While in Reno needed some food !! Walk into Siri's Casino to find this hidden gem Siri's Grill. The kitchen is dominated by an amazing female cook. Asked for recommendations and she shared the Phat Philly a delicious shaved beef sandwich cooked to perfection with fresh onions, green and red peppers in a soft yummy hoagie bun smothered with liquid yellow cheese. Tiki Hubby and I shared came with fries hot and fresh and a Diet Coke. Omg who knew you could get a Philly at this level in Reno. Great food great cook this gem was amazing. And the cook was friendly and good at what she does. Bartender was great too ! While in Reno Siri's Grill in the Siri's Casino.

The BF and I were just passing by and poke our heads in here. The place looked clean and there didn't seem to be a lot of people so we decided to check it out and play the slot machines! They played great R&B music which gave it a nice vibe!

I had the patty melt and my husband had the Buffalo wings. Everything was perfect. John was fantastic! So helpful and kind. Well definitely be back when in town!

This place is so cool and not cool at the same time…read more.. Here's the bad stuff... 1. Super construction going on and the parking lots are a mess, you don't know to go right or left and I got lost finding entrances even after 3 days.really dirty too. 2. The dirt doesn't stop there. Our first room we were given was so smokey I mean burning eyes smokey. There was a box fan sitting outside the room so I think they tried to air it out but it was like someone burned a cigar in there and just closed the door. 3. After going thru a room swap we were given another room. Fine but there was a dirty rag left in the bathroom counter with hairs all over it. Not a huge deal but still, come on right? 4. The late check out. Went to the front desk night before to make sure late check out was ok since we were at an event that morning. No problem they said you got until 4 with an additional fee. Great right? Nope since our room was a room that was attached to a suite they needed us out before that. Just come on again! 5. The service is just rude everywhere. I mean everyone you encounter! The Rim restaurant guy host in a suit..., I'm convinced was high as a kite. Don't believe me, go there and talk to him, holy! The security desk, rude and unhelpful. Anyone you call on the phone from the room, rude. I'm not expecting Disney customer service, but come on man! Someone teach these guys some customer service skills. So the good.... The resort is really cool. Bowling video games, nice casino, everything to spend a fun weekend. We may even come back just to do the pool and stuff to do there. To wrap it up... Lower your expectations. Your not going to get the cleanest room. Most certainly you will be treated rudely. It's a place that could be so epic but falls short due to just taking short cuts in the customer service, organization and just plain care about your whole experience factor. P.S. you will receive at least 5 text messages telling you about how great their spa is.

Here's an update…read more Grand Sierra Resort - Frustrating Stay Despite Being a Loyal Guest / 5 I have been coming to the Grand Sierra Resort annually for years -- once for my grandson's basketball tournament at the convention center, and again each July for a golf tournament. I consider myself a loyal, returning guest, which made this past weekend's experience all the more disappointing. When I checked in, the receptionist was genuinely kind and helpful -- a real bright spot. She offered me a room upgrade for $45 more per night and assured me she could place me on the same floor as my son, just down the hallway. I was excited. However, she then said she needed her manager's approval. The manager came over, barely acknowledged me, and flatly said no -- apparently reserving those rooms for other purposes. The receptionist apologized, but the damage was done. For a guest who returns here every year, that interaction felt dismissive and discouraging. The receptionist herself was wonderful, but the manager's handling of the situation left me feeling like my loyalty meant nothing. Later that evening around 8:30 PM, we headed back up to our room on the seventh floor and discovered that only one of the three elevators was operational. What followed was a 20-minute wait just to get on an elevator, packed in with other frustrated guests -- on a Saturday night, no less. Beyond the inconvenience, I couldn't help but think about what could happen in an emergency with two elevators out of service. That is a serious safety concern that management needs to address immediately. Outside of these issues, the rest of the stay was business as usual and accommodating. But given my history with this property, I expect better -- and loyal guests deserve better. I hope the Grand Sierra takes this feedback seriously before my next visit.

After nearly 10 months of planning, I expected the basics to be handled correctly. When we checked in, we were given a double room instead of the King room we reserved. I went back to the front desk and was told that because they were oversold for Thursday night, there was no way to move us into a King room at all during our stay. That explanation didn't make much sense--they confirmed they had King rooms available Tuesday and Wednesday, but because of the Thursday overbooking, they couldn't honor the reservation for any of the nights. So even though I booked months in advance and had already arrived, I was effectively bumped in favor of guests who hadn't even checked in yet. To make matters worse, only 2 out of 5 elevators were working the entire stay, which led to long waits (up to 20 minutes to get down in the morning) and added frustration. After the fact, I looked through other reviews and saw that this seems to be an ongoing issue, not a one-off situation. Between the reservation not being honored and the operational problems, it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. Skip this place.

In the morning, we waited over 30 minutes while valet staff searched for another guest's lost key. Later that same evening, we ended up experiencing the exact same thing ourselves. The valet staff lost our key and it took over 20 minutes for them to locate it. They did not think to hire more staff for the busy Memorial Day weekend and the basketball/volleyball/adult softball tournaments that were going on in the area. The night before we had to leave our car halfway in the street because valet was so backed up. The guest service manager told us to leave it half away in the street. The next day the same manager blamed the desk agent for losing our key when they did the same thing in the morning when she wasn't there. Unfortunately, this caused us to be late to a magic show we were attending at Grand Sierra Resort. I understand mistakes can happen, but seeing the same issue happen multiple times in one day shows a serious lack of organization and professionalism. Valet should make the experience smoother, not create unnecessary stress and delays.

Furthering my refusal of using hotel-provided coffee makers. Water pressure and temperature out of the shower head was great, though. That's always a plus. The property is coming along nicely, though there's still plenty to do. I love the addition of several art pieces scattered about the lobby. The Neon Line, an urban trail of sorts, displays numerous art installations once featured at the Burning Man festival. Food options are actually quite decent, borderline good. Hanna's Table is good for quick sit down bite. For a nicer meal, you can't go wrong with signature steakhouse, J Paul's. While not the greatest steakhouse in town (that honor goes to Atlantis, in my opinion) it's still a solid option. We didn't try their buffet but I have heard a few good things. Overall, we had a good time at J Resort. They still need to finish the refresh on their pool as well as the addition of another restaurant and bar, but there isn't enough construction going on that would interfere with your stay. One positive thing I want to say about the cafe restaurant, the workers every one of them are giving 150% working hard.My compliments to them. One thing that I've noticed and it's very negative is that the prices have jumped up, which has happened in a lot of places, but this is a little extreme. For example, they had a senior menu. They cut out approximately 1/2 of their senior menu, which is ridiculous. A lot of the locals come there and many are seniors the options on the menu amount to almost nothing for seniors now.. BRILLIANT SND THOUGHTFUL! Example on the regular breakfast menu they HAD a chicken fried steak it was a big chicken fried steak like all the other breakfast restaurants in the area now when you order that you get a small chicken fried steak, which was originally from the seniors menu a very downsized small chicken fried steak. Once again that chicken fried steak is not available on the senior menu instead they're using that small chicken fried steak for the regular menu. You're paying almost double and getting 1/2 of the value. CHEAP!! Also, throughout the casino, it always reeks of cigarettes smoke at one point I thought it was a very nice casino. Now I think it's rundown. Nobody really cares about anything. They're very few employees working the floor. The escalators going upstairs are always broken my opinion of the nice casino is now that it's turned into a dump!
