Chocolate chip pancakes, egg whites, bacon, hashbrowns

Met my daughter for a late breakfast. Cute homestyle place with ample parking. Pricing is very reasonable. I got perfectly cooked over medium eggs, potato pancakes (comes with sour cream and applesauce on the side) and rye toast. My daughter got chocolate chip pancakes (huge), egg whites, bacon, and hashbrowns. So many choices!! They serve breakfast & lunch and there was a steady stream of folks cycling thru. It is far from us normally, but my daughter was dog sitting near there. Would go again if in that area. Enjoy!!

Breakfast sandwich and chicken club. Look at the hugh amount of potatoes!

They greed you right away. And seated us right away as well. Family friendly atmosphere. Our server Janet was on the spot. Enormous amount of food. Coffee was endless. We chose a brunch type meal. Me the breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread, YUM. My friend the chicken salad club. We took half of each home because the portions were so big. If your looking for Breakfast or Lunch this is the place.

Second time dining at Golden Bear restaurant for breakfast and it was excellent as usual!! I ordered the western omelette with home-fried potatoes, side of white toast and a side of grits. Everything was cooked perfectly!!! Grits are awesome!! Food came out hot and in good time!! Service was great as well!! Cool decorations around the interior and was not too loud with the amount of people eating there.

Ham, mushroom, & cheese omelet with hash browns and a biscuit

The ambiance is super cute here and is definitely your traditional diner! It gets very busy but the service is great and very quick. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, and the biscuit was super flaky. The omelet was pretty good, though I wasn't a huge fan of the American cheese in it and the eggs could have been a bit fluffier. The portions were really good though and I'd definitely come back!

Biscuits and gravy- half eaten! Full order

Omg the food is so good!! Im a die hard biscuits and gravy fan and theirs are superb! The country fried steak is also divine. This place is quaint and not an upscale restaurant but its comfortable. The service is always on point and the coffee is always fresh and flowing. It's also really affordable! I love this place.

Great little place hidden in the back of a strip mall. Everyone here was so nice from the waitstaff to the cashier. Went in on a Sunday morning and the place was packed to the brim but still sat us quickly and it was very evident there were a decent amount of regulars that would keep coming back. My coffee cup didn't run dry or 1/2 down for the entire meal. The food came out quick and you can tell those line cooks were turning and burning from the constant in and out. Portion sizes were large and not a place you leave with any doubt of being full. The bagel was nice and crispy, eggs were right consistency, prob 6-8 slices of ham on there and hash browns cooked to a golden brown to go with it. Wife got the big bear French pancakes which are pancakes coated with French toast batter. I got a couple bites of these and they will be on my plate next time I'm in 5/5 would recommend to a friend!

Looking for a different place to meet Deb for lunch and this place popped up in the search so here we are. Really cozy, mom and pop feel. Large menu with the diner favorites both breakfast and lunch. I ordered some fried pickles to start. Really good. They were spears and I usually prefer chips but the brininess of the pickles and the breading made for a great tasting bite. I then ordered the Cheeseburger club. Delicious. A little messy to eat but good sandwiches should be right? All of the flavors of a burger but into triangles like a club. Deb had the chicken salad sandwich. Nice flavors and a large portion. Over all a sold diner with great food at great prices.

The crab cake was perfectly seasoned, the English muffin was toasted perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was also perfect. The cheesy grits were good as well! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. My guest also loved her meal, ( Salmon Benedict) the salmon was perfectly done without being dry, the eggs were a little beyond poached but that's okay. The home fried potatoes were golden brown and an excellent addition to the meal. The ambiance is super chill which is surprising considering how good the food is. The chicken and waffles were exceptional as well. The four chicken strips with tender, juicy and well seasoned placed on top of the golden brown waffle which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The butter and maple syrup was butter made this waffle an 8/10.

What a complete disaster. This is for their Food truck, not physical location…read more 3 things important about serving from a food truck; it has to be fast, easy to eat and great food. The completely forgot about the first 2. Long line so figured it's probably good and looking at reviews thought it would be worth the wait. 45 minutes wait in line. They were completely overwhelmed and lady who took my order (BTW, I'm a very heterosexual man, but there are a lot of kids around and if you're going to lean forward to take orders, how about wearing a shirt that doesn't let me see down to your belly button and all the things you stuff in your bra, such as lighters, etc.) got very snappy with everyone. As you can see from video I posted where I asked people how long they had been waiting, it was over 2 HOURS for most. At that point, all of us should have had our food refunded or at least some type of discount, but nope. Never offered. After an hour, when I went and asked the woman who took my order how long it would take, she said "in a while. I don't know. We're busy". Guess what. That's your JOB to know. They never gave anyone a receipt, just asked us to give them our names, and when we would ask how long it would be, they asked for our name and then asked what we ordered. Seriously? IT SHOULD BE ON THE TICKET WITH THE NAME I JUST GAVE YOU!!! FYI, I gave them the name "YO" to make it easy to remember but apparently, it was too difficult. There were over 30 people waiting and the crowd was getting angry!!! Finally, another woman showed up that got things moving. Whoever you are in the red shirt, thank you! I think we'd still be waiting if it wasn't for you. You should have been there an hour before then. Now the food. Remember the easy to eat part? Obviously it's a food truck, so no crab pliers given. The other food truck actually cracked them before serving them so people could just peel them open. Nothing done here so it was impossible to eat (big crab legs were easier but still not ideal). Had to take them home to eat which defeats the purpose of a food truck. The blue crabs had almost no meat in them. Complete waste of money. The crab legs were actually big and at least tasted good which is why it's 2 stars and not one. Based on the service alone and lack of care to try to make things right with customers, I'm leery to even go to their physical location. Too much competition around to not take care of customers the way they should. Very disappointing and had such high hopes.

Food is delicious customer service isn't great and you can't go inside. But the seafood was great !!read more

The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did! Was the cheesesteak the best, no, was it great, no, it was just ok, nothing to right home about... it definitely did not look like the cheesesteak that big Jim was biting into on Facebook. How were the onion rings, they came out hot, large, and very crispy, were they, tasty, yes, were they greasy, very.... I never leave onion rings at a restaurant not to take them home, I left these, I couldn't honestly see with them being so grease laden that they would be any better reheated.
