Treatment of customers is simply appalling! I would never recommend ordering ANYTHING from this place! On Saturday, December 8th, I returned to the restaurant expecting to have a replacement order provided to me because of their incorrect order they fulfilled. I had purchased a meal on Thursday, December 6th. When I arrived home I discovered they had not provided my order correctly. I called to inform them. In short, I was asked to return to restaurant along with my receipt. Needless to say, I returned (receipt in hand), calmly expressed my expectation of receiving my order replacement only to have them call the police on me. What a cowardly act! I was in shock and utter dismay! This was totally uncalled for as I calmly conversed with them only to have them call the authorities on me. Of course there was no fault on my part, and I was not detained by the police. I would never have imagined such rash behavior! This is extremely shameful on their part! They woefully lack customer service skills. They are disrespectful and seek to be demeaning! I am a mature woman of color who has NEVER encountered treatment such as this! Just had 2 Fletcher's corny dogs at the Golden Chick in Lewisville and quickly realized we just wasted $10. They did not taste like State Fair corny dogs at all! They were half the size and tasted like old french fry grease. Nothing about them resembled a State Fair Fletchers corny dog, as advertised..Huge rip off!! WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS WYLIE FACILITY. Everytime we have ordered either something is missing or the order is completely wrong. Sometimes the chicken has a fish taste. My wife decided to try it again today and it was the worst ever. The chicken was cooked earlier in the day and the meat was very dry. They also did not include our drinks and sides. HORRIBLE SERVICE & COLD FOOD - WORST DINING ESTABLISHMENT IN MURPHY, TX My wife and I visited the Murphy, TX location at 9:30 on a Monday night. We ordered a 25-piece meal with three sides and six extra rolls to take home to the family. The couple in front of us had just ordered a 16-piece meal. The guy at the counter told us it would take just over five minutes to cook the tenders. Eighteen minutes later the couple in front of us received their food, yet we were still setting there looking at a nearly empty dining room without receiving our order. I look over to get an ice cream cone while we wait, just to see that they had already broken down and cleaned the soft serve machine. Guess those of us who come in later in the evening are not as important, nor deserve the same amenities as those who eat during the day. All this time several cars had been served through the drive through. Another family had come in the dining room and ordered four separate meals several minutes after us. Another 12 minutes passed, and the that family starts getting their food (which consisted of chicken tenders). At that time, I was beyond frustrated! I went up to the counter and had to stand there for over a minute before anyone came up to speak to me. When I asked why everyone else was being served in the dining room and drive through who ordered after us, I was told in a very rude tone, "because you ordered such a large meal". He then said that they had already started cleaning their fryer and had to start it back up to cook everything. Not sure how they ever thought the "just over five minute" wait time they told me about before we ordered would ever be met. They finally bagged my food after opening everything and showing it to me and we headed home to have a very late meal with the family. Once I got home, we realized that they had neglected to put the gravy for the tenders, the family side of mashed potatoes, and the family side of mac and cheese in the bag. I was furious now!! The tenders seemed a lot smaller than they used to be, and the dozen rolls were tough and cold. I called the store and asked for the manager on duty. Bryan came on the phone and said he was the shift lead, that the manager was not there. I told him about the mistake he sat the phone down and came back and told me "one of my guys showed you the order and you said everything was good". I asked for the store owners name and was not given it. He told me to call the corporate office if I wanted to complain. He had absolutely no intention of doing anything to make this situation better. All he was concerned with was getting me off the phone so he could wrap up his night and get out of there. This is the entire reason they had these issues to begin with. A restaurant should never start cleaning a fryer that cooks their main product over 30 minutes before they close. That tells me that their intentions were to serve chicken tenders that were over 30 minutes old to anyone coming in before they closed. Only after I insisted they do so, did he offer to refund the cost of the two sides they left out, but only if I came back into the restaurant. We'll see if that happens when I go back up there. I guess they don't care about the cold and tough rolls and the fact that there was no gravy for the tenders. It seems like the corporate office cares about as much as the franchise owners. I called them this morning and the secretary that answered the phone said that no one was available to speak with me. She said I could leave my name and number and she would pass it on. Going on five hours since that call and guess what...no return call from Golden Chick corporate. Spend your money somewhere else where you will be treated better and receive the food you ordered. read more

After watching several commercials about the fried catfish combos my wife and I decided to give it a try. We went to the location in Wylie and ordered 1 catfish combo and one 1 Jr. catfish combo, the first with 2 sides and a 30 oz drink and the second with one side (we wanted fruit) but that was not available and a 20 ounce drink. Nothing else was ordered, The man serving the order announced a total of $20..87 for the food I commented, that much and paid for the food, When I enjoyed my dinner, which by the way was very good, and then I added up the prices of my two combos with tax and I reached a total of $14.76. Have eaten here several times. They send out a good coupon in the mail 2 can dine for 9.99. Its a lot of good food. We get the roasted chicken. Service is always friendly. But all their meals come with a drink and one side. Used to be able to get 2 sides and no drink. Also, my kid is picky so I've always ordered the mashed potatoes with the gravy on the side. But now they won't do that without charging extra. So I paid extra. Then guess what? We got home and I still had the gravy on top of the potatoes! New management has no customer service experience. Don't seem to care about them at all. Bought some gift cards over the holidays and was given $5 gift cards with each one. When going back to use them, I was told that they were already used and to go away. Manager wouldn't help, so I called corporate, who was shocked and would "get back to me in 10 minutes". Me and my family go here all the time. It's reasonably priced and everything is pretty yummy! I always get the chicken salad sandwich and mashed potatoes. But I've also gotten the grilled and fried chicken. The grilled is not too bad and I always peel the skin off the fried, but it's very tasty! The fried okra is very good, the mac-n-cheese is ok, and the green beans are good. The french fries are very yummy and the rolls are like dessert, they're so delicious! It is kind of small and cramped, but every time we've went there, it wasn't crowded at all. And the place is always jamming music and makes you dance while you're eating, lol! read more

Waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru. There were only 2 cars in front of us. Many lined up behind us and most of the drove off because of the wait. We were tired and just wanted something quick to eat. Idk why my mom waited in that line. Employees didn't care when we complained and said they can't offer us a discount because of the wait. First time coming to Golden Chick as I'm new to the area. I ordered the 6 piece tender combo with okra and some extra rolls and gravy. Got it to go. The food came out before I was even done filling up my drink (woot!) I did half and half with the spicy and non spicy. The seasoning they put on the spicy is sooooo good! Way too spicy for me though. But tasty! Okra was alright. Nothing to brag about. And they have an ice cream machine?! What?! Definitely will be back. read more
