I've been here a few times for dinner but never for lunch. Came here on a Friday lunch at $19 at surprisingly, it was good. I like that it was quiet and not chaotic like dinner times. It doesn't have the steak or shrimps like dinner but I still got some good eats. Their fried chicken breast is my go to chicken. Crispy skin and juicy. Seriously. I find their chicken taste better than Popeyes and KFC. I would order this alone by itself . I also love their fried catfish which is Southern style and bait easy to find in CA. The pit roast was also good. The chicken fried steak was decently good too The bourbon chicken was terrible though. For lunch , they also have breakfast items like biscuit, gravy and eggs. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I have to be honest about my experience at this Golden Corral location. The staff was friendly and courteous, which I definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant was a huge disappointment. The dining area and restrooms were dirty, and I even saw people drop serving tongs on the floor and put them right back into the food without anyone replacing them. That was pretty shocking. The dessert station looked neglected, with several items looking dried out or like they'd been sitting there for a long time, even though the restaurant had only been open for a couple of hours. Many food trays were empty, and it didn't seem like anyone was keeping up with cleaning or restocking. I've been to the Bellflower Golden Corral several times, and it's always clean, well-stocked, and much better maintained. I was expecting a similar experience here, but this location felt run-down and poorly managed. I really hope management takes these concerns seriously because the employees were nice, but the cleanliness and overall upkeep need major improvement. read more

My experience at this Golden Corral location was just okay. The food wasn't the best compared to other Golden Corral locations I've visited, and the restaurant itself is pretty small. It also seemed like they may have been understaffed, as there weren't many employees walking around clearing dirty dishes from the tables as you would normally expect. Getting there was a little confusing as well. My directions initially took me to the back of the restaurant, where there is no entrance, so that was a bit inconvenient and may just have to do with the location of this particular Golden Corral. I do want to mention that the staff was very nice, patient, and helpful, which I truly appreciated. Overall, I still enjoyed my food and had a decent experience, but I personally don't feel this location quite meets the same standards as other Golden Corral locations I've visited. There's definitely some room for improvement, but the friendly staff was a plus. Out of the locations near me (Anaheim, City of Industry, Downey, Pomona, Covina, Bellflower and Ontario), the Anaheim has the highest lunch prices at $18.99 per adult. I thought prices would be the same at all locations but it's not. I didn't realize they had different prices on the menu, where you can see an increase of prices. We spent $61.39, getting only water since they charge for beverages. There are plenty of tables and booths; even for larger groups. They have a typical American and Mexican food, salad bar and dessert station. My favorites were the pot roast (tender but could have had more sauce), sausages, meatloaf (juicy) and freshly grilled cheeseburgers (bread was too thick). The Mac n Cheese looked too thick instead of creamy!! The fried chicken was piled high. The taquero serving Mexican style tacos wasn't there at that station, even though the food was there. Not even when dinner started and after 5pm. They also have an ICEE machine with Cherry Limeade, Sour Apple and Pina Colada flavors. My favorite desserts were the pumpkin and red velvet cake balls, which are fantastic freshly made! The pumpkin pie was okay. The carrot cake looked dry. The chocolate soft serve was good with peanuts on top! The chocolate pie was a little too dense. The Rice Krispies treats were better without chocolate. Overall, typical buffet food. They do have a grill station that cooks hamburgers and after 4pm, steaks. The first time I got a piece of steak, it was bland and a little over medium rare. But, the 2nd time I got one, it was seasoned well and definitely medium rare. The guy at the grill station was very nice though. This location is a hit or miss for me, the crowd seems to dictate how the experience will go.. My last visit came during a weekday dinner, a much more manageable time it appears. Steady customer flow, but not packed by any means. Plenty of space in the dining area, staff did a good job keeping the food stocked and the common areas clean. The taco station was left unattended all too often, but you can keep yourself busy in the other areas.. When visiting here on a busy night, the place is trashed, service is rough, and a-hole customers are careless with serving tongs/spoons, creating messes all over. I have always been a big fan of their fried chicken, but most pieces were overcooked this time. The BBQ chicken made for a solid substitute though. The veggies came out fresh upon our arrival, I felt healthy keeping on top of those. The salad bar offers all the topping anyone could ask for. The dessert area had me quite surprised. The apple pie was beautiful. Perfect consistency with a hint of cinnamon. The brownies the lady had just put out were quite tasty and attractive too.. The ice cream machine was down, that was unfortunate. The ICEE machine is a favorite for many, sadly the cherry flavor was down too. Thia was my first time to this location. They offered a wide variety of food. Dinner was $23.95 plus your drink. The steak, roast beef was very flavorful. The ham was a bit salty. The mashed patatoes with a bit of gravy gave it a bit of taste. They have a large dining area here and will accommodate large groups. The service was decent, the only thing that was a bit frustrating was the the attendant was a bit rude and kept sweep and cleaning behind and around the guests table while everyone was eating. Aloha gang! After a day at Disneyland, we decided to choose the nearest AYCE buffet and went with Golden Corral Buffet and Grill. There was an ample selection of food to choose. From fish, shrimp, meat Loaf, pasta, grilled steaks, the list goes on and on. I haven't even mentioned the salad bar and desserts. Just be advised, drinks are also available but are not included with the price of the buffet. My favorite item at the buffet was the grilled steaks. I don't know how or what they season their steaks with, but it was tender and juicy and I savored each and every bite. You just walk up to the grill and let the chef know how you want it cooked. It will be grilled to your liking. My other favorite dishes were the meat loaf, pot roast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, beer battered fish and to balance it all out, I had to visit the salad bar. I ended my meal with dessert, a chocolate pie and believe it or not, they even had cotton candy. I've never seen that at a buffet before. Very interesting time at Golden Corral Buffet! This is my first time ever going there. We wanted to find an all you can eat buffet with a lot of varieties and choices that was affordable as well. My intent was to try as many varieties of food, to get feedback on them, and for me to discover what I actually would enjoy the next time I visit here as well. To begin with, and this is my opinion From someone who eats out a lot at all you can eat buffets that are still available, I wanted to give some feedback. There were some items that were good : for example, the fried chicken was good, french fries, I thought the pizza was good. Over half of the desserts were very good. But I didn't care for at all, all of the soups that I tasted, and I tasted them all ! The shrimp was not edible. Ham way too salty was the ham. There were items that were fascinating to me for example, the steak and a few other other items had glazed sauces on them, and the sauces tasted more like the food is supposed to taste such as the steak, but the steak texture and chewiness was not up to par. Service was great, Maria our Waitress very kind. I met the manager Matt I believe - he mentioned that people either really love it here or they don't. The ambience, atmosphere would be one that you may expect that and all you can eat buffet. I'll leave that to your discretion. Nothing was great tasting except for one item, and that was the oatmeal cookies. Even the coffee was off - Maria was kind enough to get me a small glass of milk, to go with it. I went to Golden Corral on a weekday for lunch at around 12pm. I didn't have much in terms of expectations but I was surprisingly happy from my experience. The selection was mostly American food but included some Mexican offerings. The burger was not bad but the street style tacos were good. I enjoyed the fried fish coupled with the clam chowder. They had plenty of chicken offerings and I enjoyed the fried chicken which wasn't dry. Lunch is about $19. It's a good idea to go when they open so the food is fresh. We came to Golden Corral on a weekday, and it was not full, very quiet which was nice actually. Because we came around 1130am, the food seemed fresh and we enjoyed not having to wait in line. They also put out breakfast which I didn't expect, I would have preferred lunch food since the restaurant is not even open for breakfast on weekdays. There's a taco bar which is a nice extra. Lots of chicken, including baked chicken, bbq chicken and fried chicken, and fish. On weekends, we have often enjoyed things like ribs, tri-tip akd steak, also pork chops. However the only meat being offered was burgers. I heard that dinner has more choices. The highlight of the buffet was definitely dessert. Iced and soft serve ice cream, along with chocolate-covered rice krispies and all kinds of pies and cakes. While I consider it a bit expensive for what you get, it's fun to take the family and we would love to come back if there was a special promotion or discount in the future. read more

It's been over 10 years since I've been to a Golden Corral. This location opens at 10:30am not 11am. We got there right when it opened. Breakfast and lunch options are available upon opening. Staff members were nice and helpful. The food was fresh and plentiful. I brought my mom here for the sake of childhood memories back home in Texas. They cleared our finished plates quickly from the table. In general, the food quality and taste were abysmal. Most things I tried tasted underseasoned, overly salty, or incorrect. For example, their orange chicken did not taste like orange chicken, and the chicken was too dry and tough to chew. The clam chowder did not taste like clam chowder - the only thing I could make out was salt - a LOT of salt. The vanilla ice cream had no taste, like no vanilla or milk flavors - I took one spoonful and I discarded the rest. The banana pudding was insanely sweet. The pizza dough was soft and underbaked. I was excited for their freshly grilled steaks! The grillmaster asked for our cook preferences, so he gave me medium rare. When I cut into my steak, the interior was raw to rare. The adjacent table of patrons were staring at my steak and their faces looked concerned too. Food I liked? The fried chicken thigh had tender meat. Pair it with the lighter colored gravy! The salad bar, aka the food they didn't cook, was decent. Watch out for the raw mushrooms there - they're unwashed. The biscuits were flaky and buttery. This was my second place coming here and the experience is exceptional. The food is overpriced for what it is. I had to go to the salad bar many times to get my money's worth. The Mango lemonade is good and not too sweet. I tried the barbecue chicken and it was too dry for my liking. I did like the regular chicken and it was well seasoned. I also liked the pot roast and the fresh fruit. The only thing that scared me were how dirty the utensils are. They looked like they haven't been washed in a day. The staff were great and friendly. I went on a Thursday night during dinner and I was surprised that there were not a lot of people. For a Thursday night, the ambiance and the noise level was perfect.
