I had the opportunity to create my own bowl, which was affordably priced at just under $15. Option to choose your meat(s) and veggies. The food quality was okay. I went with the recommended sauces, but wished they were more flavorful. The interior of the restaurant was clean and well organized.

One of the first dates Toby and I had when she visited here for the first time was a Mongolian BBQ place at the mall. I told her in high school there was a famous Mongolian BBQ joint near the school that every Senior made it a point to have a picture taken at for the yearbook--like a tradition. But unlike Mong Q, the food they served there was pretty forgettable, especially for a sit-down type place. Mong Q for being a far more fast casual joint really delivered a quality entree of exactly what I was looking for--lots of brisket and pork loin, a ship ton of garlic, veggies, and a lot of sauce over a bed of noodles. You couldn't ask for anything more from a quick and dirty Mongolian BBQ joint when the hunger is high and the time left before your movie is low. The service was S-Tier. They got me my food and drink fast, fast, fast. They didn't do a lot of back and forth with making my bowl. They just took what was given to them and did me right by handing me back a quality tasty bowl of yum. The quarters, while not huge, was still clean and kind of had a modern touch. I wouldn't mind hanging out here after the meal just shooting the ship with friends; it had that kind of vibe to it. All in all, this is a great option at The Block and one I'll have to keep in mind going forward when I'm here to catch a film.

    1. The spot has good options to add to the bowl! 2. The spot also has fun casual vibes since it is located inside an outdoor shopping center! 3. There are indoor and outdoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and kindly suggested for me to add more meat since I can add as much as I can stack into the bowl! 5. There are lots of parking but it can get busy depending on time and day! Note: This spot does not have their own restrooms for customers, but there are multiple restroom areas in the shopping center! Photo: Mongolian BBQ Bowl (Regular)

My boyfriend is the biggest fan of Mongolian BBQ. We noticed this spot opened up and I knew we had to try it out. I have to start off with the amazing service from Hector and the cook! They were both so nice and gave us a smile as we walked in. Hector let us know that the store was new and even welcomed us back. Our bowls were stuffed ! They are so generous with the portions here. Hector explained the different sauces which were very helpful. At our usual spot, they just slam everything together and push you along. Not here! The store is also spotless. There is plenty of seating but we took ours to go. The plate was enough to feed me and my boyfriend. We added spice but next time we'll have to add more. Don't miss out on this new storefront !

Food was amazing!! Very tasty. Everything was clean and the staff were very helpful with their recommendations which made the food taste even better. Portions were a perfect size, very worth the price. It was a nice meal/break after walking around shopping all day.

So happy to finally have a Mongolian Bbq place close by! It's nice being able to get a large to share right before watching movies at AMC~ I highly recommend stacking your toppings as much as you can to get your moneys worth! I wish there was a teriyaki sauce to add a bit more sweetness, but other than that, the experience is very streamlined and everyone was very nice. I would definitely be coming back here again!~

We were wondering why it was totally empty at dinner time
    My Y.

Dinner time and it was empty should've been my warning; we walk in about to enjoy a nice Mongolian BBQ meals. We started putting the food into the bowl and we were wondering why to-go they used the glass bowl instead of the box. Well, then when we were about to finish adding the food to the tiny bowl an OG guys (probably owner) came over started yapping not to use the hand when the meat fell of the bowl. He continues and we told him why didn't they give us a to go box. The bowls are angle, tiny and not flat so you cannot put much in it. Instead of making all these excuses why not just say I'm a tight wad owner and don't want you putting much food into a bowl. But at least let us put enough food to be full after the meal my goodness! Obstensibly, there is a sign that states not to use your hands when food falls over the bowl which we didn't see like we are there to read lol... Meanwhile he is here picking up our bowl and complaining and spitting in the bowl. That's ok but don't use your hand or be prepared for a tongue lashing! Then we just said forget it and left. We see why it was empty in the restaurant. Meat was stone hard very sparse amount in each selection. We got veggies first since we prefer veggies and then put the meat after. Cheaping out and then charging almost $20 a bowl is a joke. They should visit Hong Kong Express across the mall ...

This place is absolutely great, the food is amazing, the service needs a little improvement but it's good, the place is clean and comfortable!

Now they build the bowl for you, but it's still just as good. I came for the lunch special, which includes a bowl, a drink (Pepsi products), and an egg roll or wonton. I added a biscuit pocket too. I wish the biscuit pocket was part of the lunch special because it's one of my favorite things here. The meat is good, the veggies are fresh, and the sauces have a lot of flavor. The staff was really welcoming and brought the food out to my table once it was ready. They checked on me a few times, and it wasn't too crowded, which made for a nice lunch. My total came out to about $24, which isn't bad for how much food you get. I ate about half my bowl there and had enough left for dinner later. Definitely worth it if you're hungry.

It's a great grab-and-go option, and the service was super quick and efficient. For anyone wondering, the current price is around $17 per plate. One suggestion I'd make is adding bell peppers as a vegetable option. I was surprised they weren't available when we looked through the ingredient selection, and I think they'd be a great addition to the menu. Looking forward to coming back and trying more combinations!

I don't like to eat overly salted food but you have to overly sauce your bowl more than you normally would. If you don't, the dish is going to be bland. It's fun to switch up a noodle dish then a meat dish. They provide rice and these little toasted sesame bread to go with your dish. I sometimes just eat those plain or stuff meat into it like a sandwich.

When we went to pay for both of our plates which were less than 1.5lbs each, they tried to charge us for FOUR SEPARATE $17, 1.5 lbs plates, so $68 for 6 lbs of food total, even though we only had less than 3 lbs of food total ($34). When we asked why they said it was because we used two bowls to make each plate, but when we walked in we asked them if they still do things by weight and they said yes. We used two bowls to make the plates because we were holding our infant baby and we couldn't sit there trying to balance these super tall plates and we didn't want to hold up the line. It seems idea behind the one bowl policy is to stop people from making really really large plates that are 3 pounds and splitting it with multiple people. However to combat that they instead made a person who made an only 1.5 pound plate pay more than they would've charged someone who made a 3 pound plate. It literally makes no sense. Also, the policy the incentivizes people to sit there and play Tetris with a bowl and hold up the entire line while trying to cram as much food as they can into it while dropping food everywhere. It's a very stupid policy and even dumber were the workers for not being able to read between the lines and see that we both just wanted to make normal meals while holding our baby instead of gaming the system. We left and got food elsewhere, these guys are whackos.

Bang for the buck lunch is a great deal…read more The place looks like a time warp from the 90's that time warped from the seventies. We ordered the sweet and sour pork $10.50 .. served with steamed rice - the pork was large lightly battered pieces accompanied with large chunks of pineapple. The flimsy forks we were using had no chance of cutting the pork into smaller bits but our server brought a knife and that worked pretty good. The taste exceeded my expectations. I would order this dish again. Our other order was Kung Pao Delight $11.50 ... this dish is a nice spicy mix of thinly sliced beef, chicken, three little shrimps, chopped celery, zucchini slices, peanuts and diced carrots. A nice sized portion served with steamed rice. I wish I had just ordered the king pao chicken as the "shrimp" was not great... small and kind of funky? Easy to put aside. The plentiful beef strips were tender (a little chewy) but had a nice texture/flavor along with the rice. I really liked the chicken and that is how I will order it in the future. Lunch comes with thick egg drop soup served nice and hot. The way I like it. A crispy egg roll and cream cheese wonton that was really good as I dipped it into the accompanying sweet/sour sauce and hot Chinese mustard (comes with a little plate of fried noodle bits) - always a hit with me. The hot jasmine tea was very good as well. The old school menus could use a little cleaning but what the heck - I'm not eating off them! My question to myself is always will I come back again? I will definitely return and we were glad that we rediscovered this place once again!

That's why this particular interaction stood out so much. One employee was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, yet I was treated as if I was an inconvenience. His tone was disrespectful, his attitude was hostile, and the entire interaction left me wondering why someone working with customers would choose to speak to people that way. What frustrated me even more was that when I calmly asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. He also wasn't wearing a name tag. If you're willing to treat customers poorly, you should at least be willing to identify yourself when asked. The other employees I've encountered here have always been courteous and professional, which makes this person's behavior even more disappointing. One employee shouldn't be able to damage the reputation that the rest of the staff works hard to build. I don't know what was going on with him that day, but there is simply no excuse for treating customers with that level of disrespect. Hopefully management takes this seriously because nobody should have to deal with that kind of behavior when they're simply trying to enjoy a meal.
