Coach roach after it left my table!
    Tracy P.

This is not a place I frequent but it was a long day and it was by my hotel! That's the good part! Ready? 1. I walked the food bar, not a lot of selections. Salad bar is a joke, lettuce, cross contaminated tomatoes, there were scrambled eggs mixed with them. Onions, bell peppers (slimy),black olives, bacon bits, cheese. I made a salad, went to my table. 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat down and a cockroach greeted me right away! It ran across the table and to the wall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yep, that ended my meal!! I got up and walked out! After I took a picture cause I figured no one would believe me! The hot foods looked okay, some looked dry but since I did not eat anything, can't say much about the taste or quality of the food. Cured me of EVER going to any Golden Corral again!

    Dessert bar! It's huge!

In this this season of Covid, I was very concerned about eating at a buffet. However, our car needed us to stop for a while on the way home from Orlando to Palm Beach County (since then, I have a brand new vehicle!). Golden Corral was a fairly easy off and on to I-95, so in we went. I was pleasantly surprised. There were gloves near the serving areas for folks who wanted to use them. Hand sanitizing stations were spread throughout the dining area. Utensils and straws were individually bundled. Tables were further apart than I remember in the past. There didn't seem to be as many food selections as in the past but I understand that putting out large quantities of items would not be safe. However, there was still many choices to load up on our plates! I especially enjoy Brussels Sprouts at Golden Corral because I don't make them at home since I am the only one who eats them. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy. I also tried the seasoned green beans and corn. Both were excellent. My baked chicken was a little dry. My husband had breaded fish that he said was very tasty and moist. For dessert we made ice cream sundaes. The ice cream tasted a little richer than I remember from visits to other Golden Corral restaurants. It was a perfect ending to our meal. Our server was quick to clear our plates and refill our drinks and chatted with us for a few minutes. It was a nice place to stop for a Sunday afternoon lunch!

Great service, food was dry and desserts were unappetizing and stale, found roaches by food, found flies on bread overall 1 star and very disappointed. Will not be coming back.

Golden Corral-Palm Bay, FL- 1.5 Stars (chain rating) Slop - a. food waste (such as garbage) fed to animals (swill). b. excreted body waste - usually used in the plural. c. a product of little or no value (rubbish). - Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. I firmly believe that the happenstance of birth should in no way define nor limit a human being, with that said, I am extremely thankful I was born in the USA and I live in FL. Personal freedom, weather, water and cost of living aside, we are also one of the most open states post-Covid. To that end, I am as thankful to be wrapping up my foray into national chains that survived the pandemic and am moving back to stand-alone or small local chain establishments. Befittingly, I end at one of the largest chains of slop houses in the Good Ole US of A, The Golden Corral Buffett. The lot at the Palm Bay location was busy at 3 PM in the afternoon, so I expected a majority of early bird diners to be my compatriots in this dining experience. Upon entering I found them to be closer to what I would describe as the dregs of society. Look, I know I'm no peach, but seriously, my fellow patron could have been ejected contestants on "The Biggest Loser." On to the job at hand. Cautiously maneuvering my way through the sea of humanity that crowded the buffet line, I decided to dig in. I grabbed some Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken and Fries and headed off to find a table. I will not bore you with the disgusting details, suffice it to say that 80% of the food is inedible and 20% is something I wouldn't feed to my dog (if I had one). Not only was the Chicken Breast so incredibly dry it was like trying to rip a piece of leather off an old shoe, the skin looked like the faces of old Miami Beach sun-worshippers I grew up with in the 1970s. The Big Boy says, "unless you are on a fixed income budget with a party of 20, do not under any circumstances cross the threshold of this place. Even in that case, I would venture elsewhere" #iamthebigboy #bigboy #bigboydiningout

Food is as expected for Golden Corral. Reminds me of old country cooking, like it's supposed to.

What you would expect at a Golden Corral. Service was good. Steak looked like liver. Tough as leather.

Very impressed by this local breakfast spot in Melbourne with prices that can't be beat! We met up…read morewith an old friend to catch up while we were in the area, and he recommended this place. They have the hot griddles built into the tables so that you can make your own pancakes which is what they're known for. We didn't have to wait for a table and the service was pretty quick. I started with a blood orange mimosa (only $6.95) and it was a very generous size. For my entree, I got the 2-pancake stack breakfast combo. I opted for the lemon poppyseed pancakes (which the kitchen cooks), cheesy eggs, and bacon. My husband got the southern breakfast, and our friend got one of their scramble skillets. Everything was amazing!

I joke of course, hipster is the theme, but of course they welcome everyone. And everyone should come. Staff is great. The place is clean and we loved the decor. Mostly, we loved our dishes. I had the shaved ribeye. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Loved the roll and Cole slaw. Now if they had some creamy horseradish for it, homerun. All in all, an excellent Sammy. My wife had the pulled pork Bennie. I am not a fan of pulled pork, but I must admit my fork wandered over to the plate a few times. She loved the dish as well. It was so big, we took half home. And there is where I may have finished it without permission. LOL. I really wish Yelp had the half star option. 4 1/2 is more appropriate. Go here. You won't be disappointed.

Our waiter, Tim, came right to our table and he was immediately warm and personable. We ended up speaking and joking with him throughout the meal and it made it that much more enjoyable. We ordered mac & cheese, a biscuit, broccolini l, coleslaw and two chicken burgers. For one of the chicken burgers, we asked for grilled chicken instead of fried chicken and they were more than happy to accommodate. Both the grilled and fried chicken were incredibly tender and the sandwiches were so tasty. The mac & cheese was some of the best I've ever had. It was creamy and cheesy with a layer of baked cheese on top. The coleslaw was also perfectly sweet and crunchy. The biscuit was cheesy, warm and flaky. To end our email, Tim brought us a piece of hummingbird cake on the house, and we really appreciated the gesture. Between the food and the service, this was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back.

Food Made With Love…read more I'm visiting from out the state and the only food I desired was southern cooking. There were a few choices on Yelp and Google but I selected P&D. The first letter of the husband an wife names. My expectations were high, and they should have been based on the reviews. This is not a standalone location as the are other businesses within the same building. You won't see P&D on the exterior signage but you will see "Soul Food Kitchen" A la carte buffet style food served. I like this so I could see what I'm ordering. Which is way I should have not purchased the Mac&cheese. Macaroni noodles and shredded cheese melted within. A serious faux pas for macaroni and cheese. I observed how many customers appeared to be regulars, and several people were ordering additional food to take home. I ordered two full meals. The main dishes are served with cornbread dressing on the savory side or rice. One suggestion for P&D would be to offer a brown gravy option alongside that is not meat-based specifically for the dressing. The highlights for me were the yams, fried fish, and pork chop and red velvet cake. Those dishes were well seasoned & well-prepared. Without being critical of the other side dishes this is what I would say: Sharing a few side dishes with your group before committing to larger portions. If you're a singleton stick to yellow rice, yams, and beans. While some food choices did not meet my palate, I can understand why this place has a loyal following. The welcoming familial atmosphere, location, and comfort food are sometimes the basics of what people need to get through the day. Service: 5 stars Food portions: 5 stars Food presentation: 4 stars Parking: 5 stars Returning?: Unlikely "When food is made with love, it's hard to critique the heart."
