Probably the worst Golden Corral ever, and I have been to many over the years. The management is horrible and they disregard the legitimate concerns and complaints of customers. The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable considering everything else. Gina was our precious & attentive server she took excellent care of us. Wow I really enjoyed the macaroni salad, the meat loaf & brown gravy was delicious, the dirty rice and the bourbon chicken was amazing. We really enjoyed the salad bar also. We love Golden Corral and the food and Staff here are great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the building has plumbing issues. First of all, this is Golden Corral. A chain buffet restaurant. This is not fine dining. This is cafeteria style good food and lots & lots. I used to cook for the Coast Guard so, I look at food, cooking, sanitation, and presentation a bit differently. It is difficult to cook so many different dishes and have them all come out well. This location can do that. They are a little slow putting out steaks, but other than that the food keeps coming. Everything there is good. Comparable to many cruise ships. The staff work hard and move quickly. Unfortunately for them, few people tip. If it is possible, the chocolate desserts are almost too chocolatey. A little goes a long way to satisfy your sweet tooth. It is impossible to leave hungry. As far as customers, I am a big guy and always feel thin when eating there. AND, that is a good sign of good food and good value. We like this location, general you would be hard pressed to beat any Golden Corral's salad bar! Deep fried chicken is also very good. Both my wife and I like veggies and you have a half dozen choices or so. Along with many additional meat choices cooked in healthy ways. I've been to some good and some bad Golden Corrals all around the SE US and they vary. This one is one of the better ones. The cornbread here needs to be much moister, too dry, leave out some chicken stuffing for dinner. I always look for it but it disappears around 3:30. Make less chocolatey brownies as they are too heavy with chocolate, use less and make them more cakey than fudgy. In this this season of Covid, I was very concerned about eating at a buffet. However, our car needed us to stop for a while on the way home from Orlando to Palm Beach County (since then, I have a brand new vehicle!). Golden Corral was a fairly easy off and on to I-95, so in we went. I was pleasantly surprised. There were gloves near the serving areas for folks who wanted to use them. Hand sanitizing stations were spread throughout the dining area. Utensils and straws were individually bundled. Tables were further apart than I remember in the past. There didn't seem to be as many food selections as in the past but I understand that putting out large quantities of items would not be safe. However, there was still many choices to load up on our plates! I especially enjoy Brussels Sprouts at Golden Corral because I don't make them at home since I am the only one who eats them. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy. I also tried the seasoned green beans and corn. Both were excellent. My baked chicken was a little dry. My husband had breaded fish that he said was very tasty and moist. For dessert we made ice cream sundaes. The ice cream tasted a little richer than I remember from visits to other Golden Corral restaurants. It was a perfect ending to our meal. Our server was quick to clear our plates and refill our drinks and chatted with us for a few minutes. It was a nice place to stop for a Sunday afternoon lunch! read more

Befittingly, I end at one of the largest chains of slop houses in the Good Ole US of A, The Golden Corral Buffett. The lot at the Palm Bay location was busy at 3 PM in the afternoon, so I expected a majority of early bird diners to be my compatriots in this dining experience. Upon entering I found them to be closer to what I would describe as the dregs of society. Look, I know I'm no peach, but seriously, my fellow patron could have been ejected contestants on "The Biggest Loser." On to the job at hand. Cautiously maneuvering my way through the sea of humanity that crowded the buffet line, I decided to dig in. I grabbed some Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken and Fries and headed off to find a table. I will not bore you with the disgusting details, suffice it to say that 80% of the food is inedible and 20% is something I wouldn't feed to my dog (if I had one). Not only was the Chicken Breast so incredibly dry it was like trying to rip a piece of leather off an old shoe, the skin looked like the faces of old Miami Beach sun-worshippers I grew up with in the 1970s. The food is good though the steak is good but the person that cooks the steak acts like they don't understand you when they know that they do the manager is unhappy doesn't smile or me or greet people there was fire. Then they said no it was ok They told us to get out then said it was OK then we had to hear recording go on over and over again about how we had to exit the building while we were trying to eat, finally it went away, but I still go back for the steak. The reviews here are all 3 yrs old. Not sure what was going on then, but it's very good now. I'm in town for work. Came here for Thanksgiving and several other times -- so we could get some real food, especially the veggies. Everything we've tried (too many items to name) has been delicious. I decided to take a break from cooking this year. So we opted for the closest open restaurant for Christmas dining. The experience was pretty much what we expected for buffet style dining on a holiday. The place was packed and busy! The food was hot and they had something for my entire family (toddler, teenager, and spouse). Overall, a positive experience. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about - my family has come here a few times with only positive experiences! You know what you're getting when you go to a Golden Corral... the purpose is to have diverse food options for everyone in the group, acknowledging that the food is not going to be top notch. In our experience, the food has always been fresh and good and worth the money & efficiency. I will say none of the employees here are very impressive - we were completely ignored by an employee on his cell phone at the register when we arrived - he had no intention of ever helping us and we had to wait for someone else to come ring us up. I later saw FOUR employees all looking at the cash register together trying to figure something out... reminded me of those "how many ___ does it take to change a lightbulb" jokes. I have been going to this Golden Corral for over 5 years, since moving to Palm Bay. Over the years, I've had normal issues, i.e. food not hot was always a major issue for my husband. Today was the final time I step into that place. While serving my salad, I noticed a black spec on the romaine. I very discreetly told the worker behind the salad by just pointing at it. However, while eating, I saw another black speck with legs I asked to speak to the mgr. He approached our table & after showing him the bug on my salad, he explained they wash the veggies, but he was going to let them know. I am so disappointed. We used to go weekly and the food was so good, the manager would walk around to every table and greet you like an old friend. Lately this isn't the case. The food is getting worse and some of the new servers have zero personality. Today we went for dinner (Easter Sunday) and I was given a piece of steak that was solid fat. The manager offered to get another and that one came back so raw i heard it moo. Just had a good experience here. All the food was good and although they were quite busy the buffet was well stocked. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy were all just above room temperature but everything else was good. All the staff was polite and smiling. The cashier ran out of silverware and literally ran to get more, I was impressed to find a food service worker that truly cared about her job. The dining room was full with a lot of kids, none of them were unruly was was also a pleasant surprise. I love well behaved kids. The dining room was rather quiet which also surprised me. I would give it 0 stars if I could. There should be multiple health inspectors coming in to this restaurant. It should be shut down. The food is dirty and just terrible. There were ants in the sweet potato casserole, I told the guy and he just shrugged his shoulders. The spinach dip looked like a black abyss it was black from how long it was sitting there , probably all day. I feel disgusted coming here. No paper in the bathrooms. The salad bar was kept nice and fresh but the rest of the place was a mess. Service was terrible my waiter was high as hell. The food was dry not fresh at all, the fried fish was cold , the wings weren't kept up with , the okra was a rock. The gravy had the fat accumulated on top from how old and cold it was. The plates were dirty, the brownies had a hair in it. The outside stink . I should of went to Publix and got chicken would of been cheaper and tastier and clean! Workers standing around talking about "can't wait to get off" felt rushed . Oh yeah the round butter bread was so old it was flat . If you going to come eat here I suggest you ask if you can walk around and look at the food first. I will not be coming here again, I should of learned my lesson last time I came here but I thought I'd give it another try since Golden Corral was a childhood favorite of mine. The biggest disappoinment were their price point and food choices!!! We expected more choices for the price charged to enter!! It was so expensive for such low quality food & choices. There were rubbery steak, only fried fish and pulled pork! The guy will cook the streak in front of you but still wasnt good to us!! The chicken was good and salad bar. The taco bar the choices looked old so i didnt even touch those ideas!! The dessert bar had too much chocolate and soft ice cream machine broken and only chocolate worked. They didnt have Cheesecake but hey had a Chocolate fountain! We expected better choices and more options for the cost!! My wife and I stopped into this place for lunch (11/06/2021)... How the heck this place is open is beyond my comprehension! When you walk in the door, you will find a kid on his phone talking and ignoring you as you wait several minutes to pay... then, as you walk into the dining area, you will see tables where you would believe there was a food fight, with trash and food on the tables and floor... then, as you walk up to the so called food, you will see that it has been sitting in grease, food spilled all around the food container areas, empty food containers, lemons that are so slimy that they must have been there for days... Nothing about this place says that the people who prepared the food take pride in their jobs... there is clearly NO manager to supervise this place, and if there is, my guess is that he/she never shows up! Do the people a big favor and close this place down before someone gets salmonella... The board of health needs to be contacted... read more

Veterans day 2020 at 2pm, over an hour driving time to receive the advertised free veterans meal only to be denied. No vouchers left and no veterans meal indoor eating. Most importantly, no concession offered just "were all out of veterans appreciation". 3 hrs after opening? Sure they are... they will be all out of veteran patronage too. Definitely an improvement in service, staff and food. There was a young, male manager who was VERY helpful. I tried to read his name tag, Davon maybe. He was very friendly, kept a smile on his face and helped out in every area. There was a cook at the grill/carver that was not being very attentive to the steaks or carving chicken and the manager came over several times to help and give instructions. Our server was great also, unfortunately I don't remember her name. The food quality has improved as well. The last 2 times we went to this location, I swore we would not return. Thanks to the newer staff, better food selection and management team, we will definitely return!! read more
