Great food but terrible service. Attitude was piss poor and the wait for my food that was sitting already made and ready was absurd.

The gravy was OK, but was separating a little/ runny and was extremely hot. so overall, I would give my food like a 3.75/5. we shared food and my wife echoed these sentiments. my wifes meal. first, I will only say that I didn't feel like you got very much portion wise for her protein, maybe we are a little spoiled as there is a Soulfood restaurant closer to where we live where the price is about the same but you get a lot more meat. however, flavor is king and... flavor of the oxtails here was lacking. my wife felt they were underseasoned. the rice with them was... rice, didn't really pick up any of the meetings from the broth/marrow of the oxtail bones. her mac & cheese was quite quite good, I ended up eating most of it. The collard greens were probably the worst thing we ate, no flavor at all, even after adding hot sauce. Normally my wife loves collard greens and I don't eat much, but she was more than happy to let me have as much of them as I wanted, but after a couple of bites, I stopped. overall, I would rate the food she ordered as 2.5/5. between our meals, one iced tea and tip it was $50. Again, the service was very good. My food was pretty good. My wife's food underwhelming. overall, Respectfully, we're not from the area so our odds of returning were not high anyway, but there was nothing else would really draw us back if we were to return to the area. my final note would be, they were not very busy, but it seemed like most of the customers where we could tell what they ordered had ordered the catfish so that made be indicative of something we or someone else might want to order on a future visit.

The Combination of this level of excellence within the establishment, along the creatively effective leadership from the owners, has blessed the community with a powerhouse in the dining industry. Additionally, the availability for on-site private functions and their catering capabilities has led to their exponential growth and now the move to their new larger location. If you are ready to step up your dining experience with a true local hot spot for hospitality and hearty meals, Angels is your place! I personally know customers that order through Door-Dash and Uber Eats to have their food delivered as far away as Geneva, Oviedo, Chuluota and East Orlando. That alone speaks volumes when you consider the increased wait time and expense of such a great delivery distance. Pure Proof of Product Perfection! *10 Out Of 10* Highly Recommended

I ordered from Too Good To Go where you pay a reduced rate for surplus food. You order a surprise meal through the app. It was Sunday and they offer a Sunday dinner so I had high hopes for my order of two dinners. One meal was three pieces of jerk chicken along with sides of rice and black eyed peas. The second meal was baked chicken with mashed potatoes and white beans that seemed to be northern. The chicken was freshly prepared and hot and the meals stayed that way until I got home. I liked that the jerk chicken was not too spicy. Definitely full of flavor and the peas and rice was a nice combination. The second meal was a comforting meal. Two dark pieces of chicken and a scoop of mashed with the simmered northern beans. Each meal came with cornbread which probably was my favorite part. I was happy with my meals and definitely would eat here again. I want extra cornbread and to choose another dish from the menu.

Apparently we hit them up at exactly the right time, because not too long after we we ordered and sat ourselves, the "after church" rush came. The fried chicken was amazing and the mac n cheese was just like Mom used to make. My wife and daughter had Oxtails and Turkey wings and let me just say, we all shared each other's food and still had portions left over. We looked at other plates passing us by like the catfish and seafood options...we just wanted it all because it looked just that good! Collard greens were on point and seasoned as well as the rice , cornbread, cakes and other sides like yams, black-eyed peas and even main dishes of the past like hog maws if that is your thing. You MUST TRY THE FUN PUNCH...it is incredible and I could write a whole paragraph about the southern sweet tea alone. This place is truly a gem and we will be going back again whenever we are in the Volusia county area. Excellent customer service with a smile and a few jokes as well as an atmosphere that makes you feel like home. Truly a ten out of ten!!

On the Sunday afternoon I visited they were offering ox tail and served many soul food favorites. They had so many good options I honestly wanted to try it all. I settled on the baked chicken lunch. BBQ chicken was a daily special and they allowed me to get half baked and half BBQ. The chicken was moist and the seasoning was tasty. I really like that the daily specials have two sizes, lunch and dinner, to fit your appetite. For sides I chose the fried okra. These crisp bites had just the right amount of seasoning so they were not all texture. Okra was the star of my plate. I also got the mac n' cheese. It was a tough decision because I also wanted to try the cabbage, green beans or northern beans sides. I would go back for the okra alone. My meal came with a slice of home made cornbread. They had two of my favorite desserts. Banana pudding and peach cobbler so I tried both. The banana pudding with the Nilla wafers and pieces of banana was perfect without any fake banana flavor. The peach cobbler was the best I have had in a long time. My cobbler was not too sweet and just full of peaches. There was no skimping on the fruit and the ratio of peaches to cake was 3 to 2. Cotton's Kitchen decor reminds me of a diner but the clean white, black and red dining room is anything but old. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You order at a counter and they bring your food to the table. The staff was really attentive and checked back frequently to see if I needed anything. They offer daily specials, sides and featured items. I noticed quite a few customers ordering family sized meals to go. They had a lot of regular customers they had a relationship with and overall the vibe was vibing. There is a small parking lot and on street parking as well. The restaurant is about 2 blocks from Leesburg's Venetian Park which might be a good way to walk off the calories. I went to a show at Melon Patch Players less than a half mile away. I can't wait to try the smothered pork chops or just a plate full of sides.

Warm peach cobbler along with cheescake, all in a cone. We will definitely go back to try other dishes.

They have the hot griddles built into the tables so that you can make your own pancakes which is what they're known for. We didn't have to wait for a table and the service was pretty quick. I started with a blood orange mimosa (only $6.95) and it was a very generous size. For my entree, I got the 2-pancake stack breakfast combo. I opted for the lemon poppyseed pancakes (which the kitchen cooks), cheesy eggs, and bacon. My husband got the southern breakfast, and our friend got one of their scramble skillets.
