Overall - so glad I was able to eat here. I have numerous food allergies, to include a soy allergy and many restaurants cannot accommodate me. So I was incredibly pleased that Outback could! I had a lengthy conversation with the manager regarding my allergies and she took it very seriously and advised me of what I could safely have and the food preparation process. So I ordered my filet and asparagus. The manager personally brought the food out and let me know she supervised the preparation the entire time. It was so tasty and it made me so happy to see how seriously they took my allergies and were able to accommodate. I will absolutely be returning. read more

Service complaint. A few weeks ago, we attempted to dine at this location of Outback. The host sat is at a table. There were customers but it wasn't busy. No waitstaff ever came to our table to acknowledge us. We waited 10 mins, we left and went to the LongHorn. While waiting for a table there, mu husband realized he left his ball cap and goes back to the Outback, gets his cap and tells the host that we left because no waitstaff came to our table. Reservations for 7 Sunday night. Arrived on time. Surprisingly only about a dozen tables occupied. Amazingly quiet. Seated immediately. It went downhill from there. 30 minutes later we got our water and tea. Another 20 to take the order. Had to constantly seek out the server who said she was covering bar area also. At least six other. servers doing very little. Meal finally out around eight. Toughest Prime I've ever had, even a steak knife had trouble. Broccoli was cold like it just came from fridge. Baked potato was, well, very baked. I now understand why there were so few people there. Excellent service, it seemed like we shared a few words with everyone who worked there. It was a great day and l had just left Port Canaveral. Ice fold beer and an order of wings would hold me down until l got home. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Now the crowd looked a little uptight, but that was not the case at all. The worst service I've ever received on Mother's Day. My server was Oliver & he was awesome, but the food was terrible. We ordered prime rib medium rare at 2pm. We got soup for appetizers. By 3pm, we told him that if our food was not ready, we'd be leaving. He brought our food out at 3:05 & so we decided to go ahead & eat it. The meat was tough as nails so we took it home to our dogs. They enjoyed it Unfortunately, we were very unhappy with the food, but really couldn't complain because we are regular customers there & we understood it was a special occasion. Although it was not special for us, therefore, we will never go on any type of festive day again. I was shocked that we were charged anything at all, although Oliver gave us 10% off, it was not worth what we paid for basically 2 soups. I hope our next visit is better. read more

Ordered the hot honey chicken and steak and it literally was like those fails you used to see on Pinterest. This was a pick up order, and it was clearly too difficult for the restaurant to handle. Well, let's just say I was very disappointed in my dining experience last night. Not because of the food but was due to the service we receive from our server. I won't single out the server, but they need training. From the beginning it was an awkward interaction, no smiling or when they did it was not genuine. I ordered the Aussie pasta with steak and shrimp, I requested my steak medium and when the meal was delivered I can tell it was not cooked to my preference. Trust me, I am not picky but the meat was tough. I tried to eat it but I couldn't get past it. When they came around to ask how was everything, I told them of my issue. Their reaction was unexpected, they said "what would you like me to do about it?". In my inside voice I said excuse me. Their facial expression was also rude. I asked if they could please cook it again to my preference which was medium. Other servers would have been apologetic and automatically know what to do instead of rudely asking what the customer would like them to do. I often think, just because you need a job, it doesn't mean you are good at dealing with customers. Omg! Never again will I eat at that location, at least at that location. Better training or hiring customer oriented people would help the business for sure. read more

Scarlet was the sweetest greeter. Shawna and Myessence were both my precious, pleasant and professional servers. Alex the GM was also very pleasant and they all welcomed me to the Outback for my first visit. I was treated like royalty and my Outback burger was absolutely cooked to perfection. It's rare I eat at a chain restaurant and actually find a reason to genuinely boast about one. But here I am. And so happy I am. The new manager, Alex, is absolutely amazing and she is going to do amazing things in her life. She has that drive, personality, and an eagerness for her whole team to win. A cook named Cameron made my blooming onion last week. Typically, they're mushy and not great once home. This one? I took a picture it was so beautifully and evenly coated and breaded and not mushy at all. Decided I needed another like that a few days later and called to see if the same cook was working (I didn't know his name was Cameron yet). He was! AND my blooming onion last week, was his FIRST shift on the line on his own without a trainer. Absolutely made my day when I found out it was his first day alone and it really was that good. Moving on from me fan girling over that blooming onion- the ribeye and Sheila were both cooked to perfection. Not one thing was not correct or wasn't good. Which, genuinely, is rare in big corporate chains. I've never complained at chain restaurants (because, why?), but never been totally thrilled. If that makes sense. And now? Yeah, been back twice this week The new manager is fantastic at what she does and has clearly moved up quickly because of that. Go check them out and ask for Cameron to make your blooming onion! This was our spot but now I'm starting to wonder. If your just passing through town and looking for an Outback this is fine. However if you consider yourself a "regular" change is here. Apparently a new exec is running the show from afar and so far doesn't seem to have a clue. For example, the bar manager used to have the flexibility to order nonstandard liquors for the bar if there was demand. For regulars, this was great because if you wanted to try something different or something you just typically had elsewhere you would be able to get it here. Not anymore! New day, new rule. Take what we have and that's it. Not exactly a great way to cater to regulars. Maybe it's time to change to a new watering hole. That said, the girls working the bar (eg Britney) are awesome and should be recognized for being so good to Outback's customers. read more

We chose Outback over Texas Roadhouse and longhorn steakhouse knowing we usually have a consistent experience with them. Tonight unfortunately wasn't their night. Both of our steaks were sent back both way under cooked. Second time the steak came out mine was ok but my wife medium rare steak was medium well. Third recook it came out rare! Melissa our server was very attentive and brought jessica the manager in to assist. She went above and beyond to make it right. tonight, the prime rib ordered was ordered medium but was essentially raw AND cold. We were a party of 15 so we remained silent although our friends were upset about It. Very dissatisfied with the horrible wait time today. Ribeye steak came out cold....and way over seasoned with some 20 spice crap the server told me was on it. What happened to just salt and pepper.....it's a ribeye steak! Sent all My food back. Lost a lifetime customer at all locations now. Father's Day lunch with the family was a complete letdown. To top it off....management took my meal off the total bill and when I clicked on the 18% tip at them end for the rest of my families food.....it auto populated the price as if it was the full check and not the actual amount after my $40 meal was removed. Tonight we had dinner at Outback Steakback in Viera, FL. How lucky we were to have won the lottery with Shawn Nabors for our waiter. He was personable, entertaining, helpful in the best way to order what the 4 of us wanted and to top it off immediately noticed my partner's Vietnam Veteran's hat and said "Of course there's a military discount for you." I also let Shawn know it was my daughter's birthday (57th to be exact). Our meal was amazing and Shawn brought over a cup of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce for her to celebrate. And then he asked her to dance. We have a video to prove it. LOL We definitely will return to Outback Steakback in Viera next time we're dining out but ONLY if we can have Shawn Nabors as our attendant. We order takeout and love Outback, and we used to love this location. I'm not sure if their chef changed or their food supplier(s), but the last few times, it's been awful (tried multiple hoping it was just a fluke). The steak -every time recently - has been undercooked and soggy in texture. It literally stinks. The lettuce tastes old and so do the baked potatoes, among other things. The icing on the cake was getting sick a few hours after eating yesterday. Please make a change! You used to be great! This just isn't Outback's standard anymore. read more

Let's start off with this ... I dont think I will be returning soon. Me and my wife decided to come here because, the walk in beastroux behind the location has system issues with their POS. Upon coming on in the restaurant there were a lot of cars in the parking lot so you would think they would be good. When we walked in now they did seat us quickly, we sat directly in the front by entrance so we though service would be quick. We sat there the waitress took our drinks and appetizer order then that's when the waiting started. I know it took a while because baseball was playing on they were playing baseball on the TV and we went through one whole inning. Our drinks finally came Then 10 mins later our appetizer, well we ordered the Mac and cheese bits and truth be told they were bland even with the sauce provided. We then we're able to order our entrees which was the steak and shrimp dinner with 2 sides, we got 2 of those 1 was medium rare and the other was medium. Well no mine came out very rare "bloody" and my wife's was like beef jerky. Now I understand things happen in the kitchen I worked with food but I just ignored it and went on eating. I will say the Mac and cheese by it self that was worth the time. If you are able to go there and try that it's worth it. I think we will have to give another try before fully ruling it out but based on how slow the service was and the quality of food at the price it was. Not very good read more

We have been going there since it opened almost monthly. Celebrated many birthdays there. Unfortunately the service food and prices have all changed. Lack couple of steaks I had were mostly grisly and on the small size. The baked potatoes were the smallest I have ever seen served. Almost new potato size. I drink lemonade and the rest of my group has tea. Never get asked for a refill. Most times they get the drink order incorrect. And the prices like everywhere else is almost doubled. Main was the perfectly grilled salmon and it was. Crispy on the outside. Moist on the inside with a nice remoulade sauce as dipper. Unique but I really liked it as I love remoulade. Our experience at Outback was excellent...our waiter, Sean Nabors, was incredible from start to finish. He immediately acknowledged my step father was a Veteran and thanked him for his service. What a lovely place with great food! Another restaurant we were trying to go to told us there would be a wait so we decided to go here as a second choice. Glad we did. It is a stand-alone restaurant but is situated next to many stores in a strip center mall so there is plenty of parking. We entered and the hostess seated us within 2 minutes. There were a fair amount of people in the restaurant but it did not seem crowded. I have been to other Outbacks but this one seemed to have a new décor. Very nice. There is a bar area straight ahead as you enter the establishment. The main seating area is to the left. This seating area has tables in the middle of the area and booths, both small and large, surrounding this area. The server was slow to get our drink order and drinks but made up for it with the service during the rest of the meal. We ordered the prime rib sandwich and french onion soup with a cocktail. We got the signature bread and devoured that. The food came within about 10-15 minutes. It was delicious. Glad we chose this restaurant for our meal! read more

My family went here for a small family reunion. We ordered a medium rare cooked steaks. My steak was burnt and tough as shoe leather. My neices food was also burnt. The waitress was like a zombie. I said we cant eat this food, its all burnt and difficult to enjoy. She gathered the plates and said " room for dessert". I ask for the manager. Ten minutes later we were informed, they stepped out.?! I kept my cool because my one niece just lost a classmate and was delicate with emotions. Yeah, we left unsatisfied and hungry. We had a party of 6 and got seated right away. But instead of 2 tables pushed together they set us in a booth. We were squashed in like sardines. We ordered the food was okay my medium steak was actually medium rare. Very hard to eat because it was so rare and chewy. It was mushy. The problem that made our lunch experience nor so great is our waiter was nit on the ball at all. 4 of us had empty glasses. When he finally came back one person got to order a refill before he quickly ran off. Then after 5 minutes of just standing in the back by the bathroom he'd bring the refil. This went on for the next 2 refils. He didn't even ask if we needed steak sauce and half of my little 6oz steak was gone by the time he came back to ask and then by the time he brought the sauce out I literally had 3 bits left. The food was okay but, the waiter was very slow and seemed like it was his first time waiting which is really not an excuse because you know if you see 3 or 4 empty glasses you should come over and refill them all at the same time. I was still eating and he took the ladies which was next to me plate. The knife fell off onto my plate which I was still eating from and he didn't even apologize. He just took the plate left the dirty knife of the lady who was next to me on my plate of food. After that happened I said this guy just doesn't care about this job at all. So that is why I'm giving a 2 star. Outback use to be a really good steakhouse but, definitely the quality has gone downhill. I probably will not be returning anytime soon. read more
