I came here for cinco de mayo to do a tasting event for patron. The restaurant was starting to fill up and the bartenders were getting ready t start happy hour to a close. The manager was very friendly and greeted my colleague and I with love and I let her know that we wanted to get started with the tasting. The manager was upbeat and had a pleasant attitude and she was walking around passing out tequila shots, chips and salsa and was preparing to do a big giveaway of tequila bottles. The Bartender seemed like he didn't want to be there but maybe he was just tired. Everything went well and we even stayed and had a quick bite to eat. I had the wings with old bay and vegetable egg foo young. My colleague had chicken Alfredo. It was good but could have had more seasoning. Overall I give everything an 8/10. I recommend here because the food is decent and affordable as well as the drinks. They even have a couple of rooms for private parties. Oh yeah, the DJ was on point as well! read more

Came back to see if the shrimp egg rolls, which they were known for back in the day, improved. I placed the order over the phone: the egg rolls were 2/$9 and I ordered four. Upon arriving, the parking lot is small and can get crowded fast as I went around 6:30p. I entered the main door and there was an entrance to the bar area to the right, the dining room straight ahead, and the carryout counter was to the left. The ambiance was quiet and reserved for now (iykyk). The person at the counter was pleasant and asked for my name, looked up my order, and let me know it should be ready soon. There was a sign at the dining room entrance that all Chinese dishes were $9.99 between 12:30-3:30p M-F. That maybe something to check out. I received my order in no time and the egg rolls were hot. When I arrived home they were still warm. Over the years the size of the egg rolls has decreased. I cut open an egg roll and there was plenty of Chinese cabbage but VERY few shrimp. Each eggroll had four or less TINY shrimp. Although they were not greasy, the taste was just ok and I decided to give up on any chance of getting the shrimp eggroll that was so good from the past. Shrimp Fried Rice is the only meal I order from Golden Dragon. It's been a while so I stopped by to make a pick up. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice with "NO bean sprouts " I mentioned it before my order and again when I paid, "this has no bean sprouts, correct?" I arrive home to open the package and my special instruction looked received, from the top of the dish. After I put on a plate, I see I was fooled. Thankfully I live close so I went back to return it. I returned and waited for another order. 3 minutes later, the receptionist came back with my order "no bean sprouts" with an apology. Apparently they gave me someone else's order. After getting home to eat the correct order, I was still disappointed. It was dry, did not have the scrambled egg, nor did it have any seasoning. I'm convinced they rushed the correct order (no egg, no seasoning) just to get to the next customer. I will not return. I hear music, apparently this is a hangout spot for many but with food like this, it must be the drinks why people return. I am not a fan of this place. I have been here a few times over the years and was ask to join my spouse for a late night drink. We went on a weeknight so it was a nice crowd but, nothing ridiculous. The bartender quickly got our order and drinks. I ordered the sampler in which my chicken was fried entirely too hard. I was able to eat the egg rolls but, not the chicken unless I wanted my tooth to fall out. The remainder of my order I had to pack up to take home. I am not a fan so I am not pressed to return. I visited The Golden Dragon for a birthday event a few months ago and I liked the shrimp and beef fried rice. Service was ok not great just ok. I started ordering the shrimp and beef fried rice to go from time to time on my way home from work some evening but noticed huge inconsistencies in the prices. The menus don't show current pricing so you're at the mercy or intellect of the cashiers when you pickup. The price that's given on the phone when ordering should be the price charged when I pick up my order, simple, right? NOPE! The other day...My husband picked up my same order one afternoon. I told him $14.23 as that's was the price quoted when I placed my order. He called me once he was inside to say they charged him $23. Sooooo...An unprofessional cashier tried to explain it was "the way" I said the words!! Needless to say I paid $14.23. Now... today I placed a to-go order and was quoted $20.93! I was supposed to meet my cousin here this past Sunday but, she was unable to meet me. I was already there. So, I decided to still check it out. From the outside it didn't seem too crowded however, there were a good amount of people inside. I found myself a seat at the bar. The barmaid was quick to greet me and give me a menu. I ordered a jolly rancher for the drink as well as a glass of water. For my food I ordered a shrimp egg roll and shrimp fried rice. As I waited for my food to be prepared there were several different TVs to view. There was also some pretty good music playing. My food arrived quickly. The egg roll was ok. It has plenty of cabbage in it. The portion of shrimp fried rice was more than enough. I was able to take at least half of it home. I ordered one more drink before I left, a Bahama momma. Also, the sports bar and restaurant dining area is creatively designed. They have our sports teams posted everywhere. Go Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. Plus, you can dine in during special hours during the early hours and receive any Chinese meal for $9.99. Or in the evening hours BOGO FREE for any Chinese meal. I've been eating at this establishment way before the Windsor Inn bought this place. The Windsor Inn is great but Golden Dragon has turned into a club instead of the fine dining restaurant it once was. The food was better quality and reasonably priced. The quality of the food has gone down tremendously. They don't use real seafood, the once loved food items that used to be on the menu have been removed since new ownership and you used to be able to get half sized portions but instead new management only sells full size portions which cost more money. The duck sauce used to be the best homemade duck sauce but now all you get is those cheap packets. The food is greasy and the classic items that they supposedly still offered on the menu are disgusting. A waste of money. This establishment now is more concerned about selling drinks than serving high quality and great tasting food. read more

Ordered carryout from this location since i was in the area to get my nails done. Sadly I could not place my order online prior to 3pm. I called in the order and picked up but was met with horrible customer service by two women working the pick up counter. I simply asked for a second fork and was disrespected and told that since we are not eating in we take the food as it comes in the bag with nothing extra. Absolute insanity. I asked if I could pay extra and was told to leave and have a nice day. Ambiance: Food fragments meet you on the floor when you walk in...rice and such that should be cleaned up. The area outside the carry out area was loud maybe because of the football game. Food: Nothing but grease and overcooked shrimp and rice and burnt onions. Parking: Parking lot should be easy but needs restriping so not well defined spaces and as a result folks are Parking unorganized leaving more awkward than functional parking available. There is so much hype around this restaurant, so I finally decided to give them a try recently. I placed an order through DoorDash and had my husband pick it up. We were not kid-free this particular night and I hear that this place can get rowdy, so it was not somewhere I wanted to take our sons. The order took a very long time to be fulfilled. I'm talking an hour and a half long. Who would have thought it would take so long to fry some rice and a couple egg rolls. It was also the most I have ever paid for Asian cuisine, so I was really hoping that they lived up to the hype. The egg roll was really good, I especially like they house-made duck sauce. Honestly, if I had known the egg roll would have been so filling, I would have just ordered that. The ride on the other hand was good but nothing to write home about. Personally, I like vegetables in my fried rice, but their was only onions and a little egg. For the costs of the fried rice, I wasn't impressed. All and all, not a bad experience, but the restaurant didn't live up to the hype. While I did enjoyed the egg roll, I doubt I would go back for just one item. Today, I went in an ordered shrimp fried rice, extra shrimp. Last week my daughter ordered shrimp fried and it was good. Extra shrimp cost $9.00. I was ripped off. For a while this was easily the best Chinese food that you could get in town! I still enjoy their unique crab and shrimp fried rice and the eggs foo young. No one else really has this combo. Easily would have been 5 stars. I'm not sure if the management changed but the quality has started to slip just a little. The fried rice was very good perfectly seasoned. The egg rolls were VERY OILY but still very good. They do karaoke on Tuesday nights, so bring your vocals. The regulars there had the place jumping I did not think I was going to have as much fun as I did. Overall, this is a cool spot. I have eaten at this restaurant since I lived in the area for thirty years and I have never been more disappointed. I called in an order from the menu online for Jumbo shrimp and broccolI, and House or combination Fried Rice. The shrimp were baby shrimp not jumbo and the broccoli was swimming in the sauce, which was a lot and it was soggy. The fried rice was hard and I could hardly find the small shrimp or chicken or pork, because it was cut up into pieces. So I called and asked for the manage, which couldn't be found. Then I was informed that I was talking to the call center and told to go in to the restaurant which I did but the manager wasn't there. I had left a message for her to call me and of course she didn't. Several of my friends and family have stopped supporting them. The quality of the food has gone down the tubes. read more

Not like they use to be.....I always could count on their fried rice when I have taste for it. Well tonight was my last time taking this drive being as though I live an hour away. Tonight I ordered general tso (white meat) chicken and my usual, crab & shrimp fried rice and 2 shrimp egg rolls. EVERYTHING WAS SO GREASY! Like dripping cooking oil greasy (see pictures), through both the paper and plastic bags. I had to put the egg rolls in a quart size sandwich bag. The general tso is mushy when should have a little crisp to it. The shrimp/crab fried rice what I noticed is less crabmeat and slim to none shrimp, I counted 4. The food was amazing ... my drink was as well. Ample parking. I went at 1pm it was jammin like it was happy hour with the music. They only served Chinese food until 3pm which was very disappointing. The customer service was HORRIBLE. The bartender was very rude. 1/3 of my party arrived and he was given a lunch menu with the same items we ordered half of the price. I asked her why wasn't we given that me u and her response was we didn't ask. That was rude I told her it was my first time there I've never had to ask a restaurant or bartender for the lunch menu versus the full priced menu. The food was okay, but service was horrible. It took our waitress an hour to refill our drinks and we had to ask multiple times. When it was time to pay the bill, our party did half on card, half in cash. We all counted the money together before giving it to her, and upon reviewing the receipt for the transaction, it seemed as though the waitress happened to "lose" $20 of the cash that was given to her and charged extra on my card. So when it was time to order our food I explained to Destini that 1 of the ppl in our group has a Deadly Allergy to mushrooms.
