Been coming here, off and on, throughout a 6+yr span and it's been one of my go-to's for my Colossal Burger craves. It's been so long in fact that I ordered the Colossal Burger with a small Chili Cheese Fry, (the Colossal Burger comes w/Chili fyi). So I over did it with the Chili for one meal but all is well. They serve up good chow here and the service is always professional and polite. The ambiance is one of a chow down spot. People are always pulling up and having a seat or rolling through the Drive-Thru. Enjoyed my Burger with some peppers being that the Colossal Burgers here not only comes with the customary Pastrami but as I've said. They take it a step further with the addition of a little Chili and Cheese for the complete Big Back experience. Ok so I have been going here for a while because I live in Gardena and I sometimes want something I can get in bigger portions on the go. Yesterday was just an awful experience and I am not sure I will be coming back to support this place. I know I came pretty close to closing so maybe the worker at the window was tired. I specifically ask if I can get either the burrito or the quesadilla and chicken because I don't eat beef. The worker asked me what did I mean by that and I repeated myself saying do you guys have chicken? They told me yes so I ordered the quesadilla thinking I was gonna get chicken right? Mind you this plate is $25 and in this economy that is not cheap to eat out you might as well go to a restaurant at that point but I don't mind supporting local businesses so well you know what happens when I get home I open up the plate and it's full of nothing but beef so I hurry up and drive back. Just let them know that. Hey I got beef. I didn't even touch the plate. Can I exchange it for chicken? The worker at the window told me that he thought I said Asada when I specifically asked him twice about chicken because why would I ask about chicken if I was gonna not order it and then he tells me that they ran out of chicken and that he couldn't swap the quesadilla for chicken even if he wanted to why wouldn't you tell me that at the window Before I order the food? This is my 83 year old aunt's favorite place to eat so I thought it must be good if she keeps coming back here. I ordered the bean, cheese, with added onion burrito and my mom ordered the two taquitos combo plate. My burrito was sad and tasted okay but I was disappointed with it. I was in today and ordered a charbroiled salad. When ordering i requested what must be a unusual request to order any more vegetables that are available and stated id pay extra. Susie the cook said they couldn't fulfill my request due to it not have a button to charge. I asked if there was any way to charge me for a side of salad on the side and place the veggies and she said NO. They had zukini, carrots and purple cabbage as an option. Like why wouldn't you? Im willing to pay. Jorge the cashier was empathetic and understood my request. He was as professional as he could. We've been here a couple times now (both for take out) and really enjoyed the food; the customer service is good and it's perfect that it's walking distance from my house. First time we got chicken and waffles and chillaquiles dishes that each came with coffee; I liked the chilaquiles a lot. The second time we got the California omelette with pancakes and potatoes special (pictured) that was very fresh and delicious. Since they a had meat lovers omelette in contrast, we assumed the CA was no meat but that wasn't right so if you're vegetarian be sure to double check the ingredients first. This dish came with coffee too (which was delicious for a simple diner), not a lot of food for two but definitely good for one person. They have a salsa bar which is delicious and good to add to your dishes. I think under $10 bill, you'll get charged a minimal fee for credit card. They have been efficient with taking and making the orders when they seem super busy and were very nice to us overall. They offer a ton of good options on the menu, including Mexican and American dishes, and seem to change up the breakfast specials around. Likely we won't try burgers there so I'll let you figure that one out yourself ;) read more

Fries were cold, looked & tasted as if they had been refried or under a heat lamp all day ( I had one as I pulled out of the parking lot & were already cold) Burgers were luke warm. They have new owners and they really make some delicious food. I go here for breakfast and lunch. The prices are great and the workers are very friendly and provides great service. This place was horrible. Sorry, I dont really like writing bad reviews, but, the burger had no flavor. The drink was not great. The tomatoes and lettuce on the burger both were old, or they tasted old. The food just wasn't fresh. The fries were VERY greasy, just like a mouth full of oil. Also, customer service was just ok ( No Chik Fil A). The food is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for, but it was just bad quality. Don't do it. If I could give this place half a star, I would. From the food to the lemonade, I was highly disappointed. I wanted to help out a local food business during the time of this virus crisis, and this restaurant was the one I chose. I and a few friends ordered plenty of food and we were all highly dissatisfied. Even the lemonade had no flavor (as if someone put half lemon juice and half water). I really did expect more from this place, but it seems like they just rushed everything, and threw it all in the box. I couldn't finish the food it was so bad and I didn't even feel it was worthy to give away. My friends picked other things from different parts of the menu and they're experience was worse. They felt nauseous and sick afterwards. I also believe that those were fish sticks and not actual fish. I wasn't expecting that!! I also didn't order onion rings but they decided to throw them in for some reason. Believe me when I say, not worth your time. Golden burger, you guys should take this stay home at seriously, and work on your menu and things to do to make the restaurant better. I'm always down here in the weekends for breakfast! The food is great and instead of getting hash browns, ask for "home fries", you wont regret it! It's basically red skin potatoes with sliced green bell pepper and onions. It's really good!! The guys who work there are extremely friendly. They'll be your friend if you make them your friends and they'll eventually get to know you as you come back more often. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. The burgers at this place are good, i'll give them that but they taste like any other burger that these kind of places make. The fries were undercooked and very mushy. They do give generous portions so go to this place if you're super hungry for some mediocre food. I've also had their pastrami sandwich and i would not order that again. The pastrami was mostly disgusting fat and the bread was stale and crumbly and it cost 8 bux. The breakfast was ok and the good thing about this place is that they serve it all day. The mash potatos were mushy and the sausage and bacon were also burnt crispy, which really isn't my style. Many others who reviewed this place thought it was a pretty clean joint but i thought otherwise. The windows were dirty and the booth I sat in was sticky. The ketchup squeeze bottle was also very greasy. I felt very dirty after walking out of this place. What really grossed me out was the condition of their restroom. It smells like urine and there was USED toilet paper right beside the toilet. There is a coat of god knows what on the walls and the sink had a thick layer of dirt on it. Apprently, a homeless man took a shower in there or they hadn't cleaned their restroom that day. For this reason alone, i would not go back. How this place got an "A" rating is beyond me. read more

I'm not a ginormous fan of local burger joints, but this one caught my eye when I was heading into work. It definitely looks run-down, but like they say (don't know who, but people who matter), the run-down hole-in-the-walls are the most delicious places. Anyway, I decide to get my co-workers involved and we all decide to order take-out. I loved that they serve breakfast all day, so I decided to order their steak and egg sandwich? Was it good, you ask? It was AMAZING. The eggs almost crumbled in my mouth and the steak was just right - soft and flavorful. I also shared the large chili cheese friends, and those were excellent. Gooey, fatty, dirty, and cheesy to the max. SO bad for me, but oh so yummy. I had to practically live in a bathroom for the next two hours, but dude. SO worth it. SO SO SO worth it. I tried the avocado bacon burger, the cheeseburger, and the turkey burger since... and they've all been all right.
