I have very dark hair and wanted more of a light ashy cool color, no warmth or brass, but the 1st time that is exactly what I got was warmth and brassy. So then I reached out and let her know I was not happy with the color and if she could please help with this and I went back within a week of my first visit and there was not much of a difference, still very warm and brassy. She had stated for me to do several washes and see how that turns out, and then we can proceed. Well over the next week I did as instructed and it did not do any good! I did not like my balayage at all and let her know this and maybe I thought another stylist with maybe more color experience could help or chime in. So I went back in again and was told I would have to pay a discounted rate, which I thought that I already paid for the service but ok, which I wasn't too happy about but understood. So based off of that I expected to pay something, but I also expected to achieve what I ask for and even after the third time this did not happen at all. To make matters worse the 2nd stylist kept pushing to do these bigger chunks for face framing when I expressed I didn't want it to look chunky hair color just thin and more blended. She also kept stopping and just talking rather than focus and complete the task as I asked and hoped for. Meanwhile I think it was obvious that I was becoming frustrated,and very uncomfortable with the experience and felt like no one really cared and just wanted to be done with this. Not to mention I let her know if she could straighten my hair and she blowed dried it which then I walked out of there with frizzies and it looked very dry and I looked terrible. After three times and almost three hundred dollars later I would think I would be happy and they would have been more attentive (especially the manager) and upfront if they couldn't achieve. I feel they are the stylist and what's the sense in paying all that if they couldn't fix or make it better. Their Manager also basically hid out in the back instead of maybe checking or chiming in on the 2nd stylist to make sure all was going well since she was aware of what I wanted in the 1st place and basically did nothing but play on her phone and was in back for the duration, very unprofessional at that I felt she probably didn't care since she was not the stylist and wanted this to go away! Overall I am so unhappy with this experience and the way it was handled. I really don't mind paying for something if I know I will get what I paid for. I have been able to achieve what I wanted in the past, and being they are the experts, this could achieve, but this did not happen, after three times. This was initially a Groupon so maybe they felt the quality doesn't need to be there? But in actuality I did pay somewhat full price in the end and still did not get what I wanted, just a lot of unwanted color. I think if you want a great cut, they are the ones that can achieve that, but if one wants specific service color, from my experience I don't recommend. It's too bad because this was a perfect opportunity to begin with a new hair institution that I was excited about but the overall experience was not what I was hoping for.

The facial was probably the best one that I've ever had. The room is charming, calming, and cool. Well appointed for my needs, even a cute shell jewelry box to store my rings during my facial. The products for the facial smelled great and did a great job of gently cleaning and plumping my skin. The best part was Renee's massage and ability to work my skin in a way that made me look younger and fresher when we were done. At the end of my hour, I felt really relaxed, pampered and rejuvenated. She gave me a fine haircut and while we were chatting I asked about getting a shave and she said that she would. So about a week later, my hair was fine, but I didn't have time to shave before work. The Isabel Salon was along the way so I stopped in. Lupe did a fine job of making me look more civilized. The shave went without a hitch. The blade she used was a fresh one. Lupe put a new blade in the handle right in front of me. So there was no worry about catching something nasty from the previous customer. This was the first time I have ever asked for a shave. I have been a client of hers for over 20 years. I have seen other colorists at other salons through the years and have had to have Colette fix their mistakes lol. She is amazing I can show her a picture of the color I want and she is able to recreate what I show her if not make it look much better. Colette is great to talk to very funny clean and professional. I cannot recommend her enough.

They need to invest in better polish. This place tries really hard to be a classy day spa, but it's just a miss.

I was so discouraged the night before and actually prayed that I could find someone to connect with that understood my hair issues and could assist me with care and growth of my natural hair. As answered prayers would have I came upon Dawn's website via Yelp. I wanted to start my message with the word HELP, but I didn't want to be mistakes for a prankster.
