I just got back from getting my oil changed at Tilden on Steel. I didn't think I would have previously said that getting my oil changed could be a pleasurable experience, but with these guys it was. I called on a Monday afternoon. They booked me for 4pm on Tuesday. They close at 5 so that appointment time was the best slot to make sure I didn't have to miss much work. The place is easy to find, and they were expecting me when I walked in. I gave them my key and they got started. Since it was my first visit, I got my tires rotated at no charge in addition to my oil change. I used the restroom while I was waiting, which was large and clean, not a typical trait of an auto shop. I spoke with Kevin. He asked me about my work and we had a good conversation. The technician checked and found a few recalls listed on my car. Kevin called the Honda dealership to verify, and told me it was nothing urgent and I should get it fixed at the dealership when I can. They also found that my coolant was a little low, so they topped that off, also at no charge. The whole process took less than an hour, was reasonably priced, and was easily one of, if not the best experience I have had with an auto shop. Highly recommended. read more

I've been going to this Tilden Care Care Center since 2002. Over the years they have serviced my Dodge Avenger, Mazda 626, and now my Subaru Impreza WRX. The gang at Tilden has always helped me prioritize the work that needs to be done to manage care care on a tight budget. The current owner, Marc, used to be the manager and the experience in his field really shows. Everyone at Tilden is very professional, knowledgeable, polite, pleasant, & helpful, whether in the front office or the garage. Recently they were able to get my car in to change to snow tires (purchased from Tilden a few years ago) right before our 1st snow of the season. So grateful! Also, they recommended I upgrade to a better windshield wiper & I have to say THANK YOU Tilden-love those blades! I have referred many friends to Tilden over the years and will continue to do so. I have to say it's as if I have family in the biz because I know every time I pull out from Tilden that I'm safe in a reliable & well serviced car. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Spent $166 for an oil change with all the works on my Mercedes' specifically asking them to make sure to fill my tires (which is included). I get my car back with my tire pressure still very low. I call and was told "your sensors just haven't adjusted yet" even tho my car shows the PSI per tire and adjust immediately anytime I do it myself. I let it go. Then 2 weeks later, my windshield wiper fluid light comes on saying it's low, which is ALSO supposed to be included in the $166 oil change. I call back again for them now to say okay bring it in. They empty almost an entire jug of windshield wiper fluid into my reserve, so clearly they never topped it off. I ask them to fill my tires, and this time the pressure doubles and my PSI gauge adjusts immediately. Was nervous they may have not even changed my oil too but was assured it was fine. I came here out of a recommendation from a friend. I was extremely disappointed. I spoke with Jessie over the phone who was incredibly helpful. He walked me through what was potentially wrong with my car and gave me estimates over the range of issues. I brought my car in and Jessie wasn't available. Mason checked my car in. I was never informed that the diagnostic being performed was going to be charged. The estimate was almost double of the high end that Jessie had quoted me. When I tried to talk about the estimate and what was wrong I was dismissed. Further I explained I never authorized a fee for the diagnostic test. I am not opposed to a diagnostic, but just wasn't informed. Mason gave me back my card and said I wouldn't have to pay. I attempted to explain that I did not mind the fee but wanted to talk about the service and was dismissed. While I appreciate the forced gesture, the service was extremely disappointing. Edit to response: Listen, you guys are a bunch of nice guys, but your phone call did not "sort everything out". As my review stated, I felt like you took advantage of the fact that I am not knowledgeable with cars and took a $35 oil change and turned it into a giant problem that would cost hundreds of dollars. When I called back those charges mysteriously disappeared. I felt very sketched out which is why I opened a Yelp account to write this review, after trying to sort this 1-1 over the phone. Nothing was fixed after you called me back. Yes, my car was still under warranty at another location. It was only $40 for the part for you guys to fix it so I told myself, "screw this, just pay this and just get your car back. Let's just get this over with". Again, this is while having a free warranty at another location but I just really, really needed my car back. You guys had been holding the car for almost an entire day. I gave you business when I didn't have to but I was desperate to have my car back. After seeing my negative review, you told me to come in to get the check engine light looked at, which came on after you guys worked on it--it was not on before. But after my multiple experiences, I told you that I would go to another shop. Again, you guys were friendly and nice in person, but I felt like I got taken advantage of which is worth a 1-star review in my opinion. ________________________________ TL;DR: Went in for $35 oil change, had $380 worth of repairs "after discount". Called back and all of the problems mysteriously went away. Check engine light turns on the next day. I came in January and had my coolant flushed and thermometer changed (which is a service I had done in Sept elsewhere). I came here because my usual auto shop was pretty backed up and Golden Triangle had an opening. The first encounter was fine, probably unnecessary considering that I had these parts fixed 4 months ago but I wanted to be safe than sorry. Got a coupon last week for an oil change. I was due for one. Went in at 8am and had the oil change done by around 10. Got a call from John (i think?) and he listed a whole bunch of problems I supposedly had: "a radiator that was on the verge of failing/I needed to replace the housing, 2 tires that I had to replace by the end of summer, leaky coolant, a check engine light (I only had a oil change light that turned on a few days ago. No check engine light) , a broken thermostat..." I went in for a $35 oil change and they were telling me that this would cost about $380 to fix, and they were actually cutting me a deal because I had similar work done by them 4 months ago. Wtf. I called my initial auto dealer and they were very skeptical. I even had a thermostat replaced by them from when my radiator did overheat. These parts are supposed to last for at least a few years yet I am replacing them every few months. Called Golden Triangle and had Mason on the line this time. He said that the only thing he would charge me for was the part for the thermostat neck and no labor. All of a sudden the $380 charge was gone. None of the previous problems were mentioned at all. Super sketch. "Don't worry, we already fixed the problems, we won't charge you for labor this time". Who says that? Someone who was hoping that I would give in and pay that amount. I knew the thermo neck was unnecessary but I went ahead and fixed it as it was only going to be $35 as I was told on the phone. When I got there it was $45. Whatever. Just let me pick up my car and go. I already wasted an entire work day trying to figure out whether or not my car actually needed work done. I picked up my car at 4pm. Next day I get a check engine light. Called them and got some bs run around response. Never coming back here again. My guess is that they saw a young female that was stupid and naive and easy to take advantage of. Calling me and telling me that I have hundreds of dollars in repairs after seeing them less than 4 months ago and then all of a sudden no issues. Making a living off of ripping people off and lying is not how I personally would ever want to live my life, but you guys do you. read more

Just went here for an oil change and to get a brake light replaced. They got me in the next day and I was in and out within 45 minutes. Their staff was very friendly and took the time to explain all of the details to me and confirm pricing. They also patched a hole in my tire from a nail at no cost and send you email notifications for service updates. I will definitely be back! read more

Everything from oil changes to timing belts, flat repair to alignments, tire rod ends to airbag issues, Mason has continuously given me support, calling when the car is ready or when other repairs are recommended. I arrived around 10am on a Monday and was told if I could come back at 12 I could be helped. I did just that and it only took an hour. I really appreciated the timeliness and the fact they fit me in. These guys are fantastic. I've been going here for years for oil changes but recently I've had some more complicated maintenance and repairs. The crew is always friendly and timely and the last two times I've been in my bill has been significantly lower than their initial quote because they were able to do the work quicker than expected or they were able to do a repair without as many new parts as anticipated. I unfortunately ran into some car trouble and began to search for a local mechanic. I turned to Yelp to get some insight from my neighbors and read great things about Golden Triangle Auto Care. From beginning to end it was a great experience. Both Matt and Marc were honest and transparent while explaining everything to me. I have recommended GTAC to a handful of people already and will continue to do so. A great perk of GTAC was the vehicle report that was sent to me via email. Came here based on some very positive reviews online. However I am very disappointed in the services I've received. Came in originally for issues with my ignition -- they diagnosed the issue off of a conversation and I purchased a key for $250. A week later the key stopped working and they diagnosed the battery - another -$200. After this visit the tire pressure alarm was lit on my dash upon picking up my car. They reset the system, sure enough it's back on and my tire pressure keeps dropping. I continue to experience issue after issue with my car since coming in. It seems I come in with a problem, and another arises after the visit. I would suggest finding another mechanic, I feel taken advantage of and that I'm dumping money into issues that are not identified properly on the first visit or created by accident after leaving my car in their hands. read more

If I could give this place ten stars, I would! I recently got a Jeep Compass and as a new car owner, I'm not ashamed to say that I am totally oblivious about car maintenance. However, when I noticed my oil change and tire pressure light on, I knew my car was angry lol! I called ahead and asked if they had any availabilities for an emergency visit and the owner fit me in early the next week. He even said I could drop the car off on my lunch and pick it up after work. Halfway through the day, I received an email with an update on the status of the car and the services that were provided. Not only did I get an oil change, but they did a whole vehicle inspection! Mark and his crew are so friendly and professional. I will definitely be taking my car here from now on. John Coleman claimed a new battery was needed. He wrote an invoice for a battery replacement. For this he charged $177.01 for just the battery. He charged $25.51 for "shop supplies." What are those, John? Cleaning the battery terminal. He charged an additional $41.70 in labor to change the battery. Before you think about doing business here, ask another mechanic if $244.22 sounds about right to replace a battery. This on a car less than 2 years old with no trouble starting. battery unnecessary. Because of the location, I though repairs here would be too expensive. I was wrong! Not only did I get excellent customer service with a great explanation of what was wrong with my truck after a diagnostic, the repair was also affordable. I threw in an oil change and was automatically given the online coupon discount. My total ended up being lower than their estimate because the part needed for the repair was cheaper! All in all, great service. Will return for future repairs and oil changes and will recommend to anyone with car troubles. read more

After bringing my car into pep boys, the guys working there told me to "google the codes my car was throwing." Extremely unprofessional. I drove past GTAC and figured a locally owned shop would treat me a little better, and they completely did. Mason answered all of my questions, listened to me, explained everything, took my car in right away, and it was ready within 24 hours. I leave tomorrow to drive over 1,000 miles back home to visit family and was already overdue for an oil change. Tilden was about the sixth place I called. The man on the phone said not till tomorrow at first but told me to hold on so he could double check. He returned to the phone, asked me how far I was, I said 10 minutes. Ten minutes later they were working on my car. Some of the friendliest staff I have encountered not only at an auto shop but of any store I've been too. I have been coming here for years and I wanted to just say thank you. Honest service and great staff.

I took in a 93' Eagle Talon to have these guys put on brakes (which I supplied) and they overcharged for the labor to install the parts -- nearly $400. They told me a CV joint was also in need of replacement and begrudgingly I consented to the additional repairs. I asked to see the damaged part when I came to pick-up the vehicle but it was never showed to me. Just a few months beforehand a pre-purchase inspection had been completed and there was nothing wrong with the CV joint. This was the first and will also be the last time I ever use this shop. read more

Great customer service! We took our 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 to them with a vague idea of what might be wrong with it. They took a look at it and gave it a clean bill of health. They were very communicative and they did not charge anything for the diagnostics. I will start by saying that I have been bringing my vehicles to Golden Triangle since 2009. However I no longer will be bringing my cars to them as their customer service stance has vastly changed since I started bringing my cars to them. They no longer appear to be standing by their work or willing to acknowledge when a mistake is made. The PREVIOUS General Manager was always very professional and made things right with me when things went wrong. Mason, the new Manager does not have the same standpoint and "Does not Care about my business". PREVIOUSLY I had a simple oil change and tire rotation and when I was leaving the facility one of my tires almost fell off. I came back and the PREVIOUS General Manager was very upset with the staff and gave me several future oil changes free in order to compensate for the mistake. Lets jump forward to PRESENT DAY where Golden Triangle no longer is willing to make things right when things go wrong. We all make mistakes, its how we re-act to them that really defines a business. I have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek with 17K Miles on it. I took it to them prior to going on a road trip over Labor Day weekend for the 15K maintenance. The car was driving absolutely perfect prior to bringing it in to them. I pick it up from them and get on the road-trip and 30 miles outside of Denver the vehicles starts smoking and becomes not drive-able and we have to be towed home. The road trip to see my Mother has to be cancelled because it is Labor Day weekend and no one is available to look at the car and Golden Triangle does not work on the weekend or even check their messages in case someone is trying to reach them with an issue. On Wednesday after Labor Day when the car is towed to Golden Triangle, Mason tells me that the ATS Fuel had been overfilled somehow but they could not figure out how. To me it was fairly obvious as they are the ONLY SHOP who has seen my vehicle since it was purchased and my car was running perfectly fine prior to bringing it in to them. Mason repeatedly told me that he did not care about my opinion and told me to "Get out and Leave!" when I told him my thoughts on it being a mistake by one of their staff members. Mason again told me on the phone the following day that he did not care about my business at which point I called back to speak with Mark, the owner. Mark was at-least willing to have a civilized conversation with me, unlike Mason, but did not acknowledge any wrong doing by his staff or that my car was running fine prior to bringing it to them and then was not after. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review I had been bringing my vehicles to this shop for YEARS and thought that they would want to keep a loyal customer who spends hundreds, if not thousands a year at their shop. But based on the behavior from Mason and Mark, as well as the poor service that I received from the shop, I will no longer be bringing my vehicles to them and I will never recommend anyone goes to their shop for any service. read more

I first "met" Tilden in December of last year when my car seized up and I was living out of state and was leaving the same day. After two hours of checking the couldn't find they cause and charged me nothing (the car ran fine). I purposely went back last week (now a Denver resident), because of my previous experience. They repaired a leaking power steering hose and something else. The service is amazing - courteous, helpful, fun and prompt. Their community involvement in Golden Triangle and "green" initiatives are great. Will turn my Murano over to them anytime. read more

The entire team there are top notch. After getting my oil changed they gave me a readable quote of things I should get taken care of. This place is the real deal. I take my cars here for everything. These guys have knowledge unlike any other place. The owner Marc always calls you to make sure you had a good experience and to see if they could have done anything better. I took my jeep there at 1pm for a flat repair and oil change and turns out I needed a new tire and they got that taken care of for me and turned around before 4 pm that day. They are amazing.
