Great diner food and ambiance. I would stop again if I'm driving Route 66 no question.

Really good experience as we took a little rest during a long drive. Cute little place with tons of Route 66 memorabilia, it feels like a time capsule as much as a touristy 'trap' in the best way. We went in today 4/25/26 at around 10am they got our drinks and we sat for almost 40 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Food was just ok. We ordered steak and eggs. We asked for medium rare and ended up with well done and i mean over done. My daughter had the kids pancakes and bacon, probably the only decent thing at our table. I ordered the 2 eggs breakfast (scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast.) the scrambled eggs were over done & hard, i asked for the hashbrowns to be soft and they were over crispy just under burnt, and the only thing i got to eat was my toast. They brought a fresh plate of hashbrowns BUT there was a hair clearly cooked in to the hashbrowns. My husband went to use the restroom and it was in complete disarray, needed to be cleaned same with the woman's restroom. Both restrooms had awful smells like they truly need a deep clean. While the people were friendly they completely missed the mark. After going through all this, not being able to enjoy my meal, steak being too over cooked, hair in my meal, not one of them offered to give any discount or at the very least remove my meal that had hair in it which you could clearly see i only ate the toast. Very disappointed. I wish i had taken photos to share. I hope the owner or management sees this and contacts me. read more

We picked this diner mainly because of the name. My friend's first name is Goldie. Cute diner. She wasn't hungry and had a half order of biscuits & gravy. I ordered steak & eggs, hash browns and a biscuit. My steak was more medium than medium rare, but seasoned well, eggs over medium, check and biscuit was good although crumbly and hard to eat. The coffee was excellent. Our server was Lisa R and she was terrific. Prices were a bit high. Steak & eggs - $26, half-order biscuit & gravy - $5.60, 2 coffees - $7. Here's the odd one, food tax - 11.4% = 4.40 and credit card surcharge @ 2.9% = $1.12. So with tip the total was $51.79 which seemed high for breakfast, especially when one order was a biscuit and gravy. Overall, a decent experience. read more

What is a cool town I. The mountains is also a big tourist area! The dinner has great outdoor and indoor seating along with shops! Service is ok, food is spendy, quality is good not great! If you're looking for a great cup of coffee and tasty food in an old school diner then definitely try this spot. No frills or fancy fusion meals... just all your basic diner staples made fresh. So I'm in Williams, Arizona, to ride the Grand Canyon Railway. As I'm walking around town, I spot this classic Route 66 diner since Williams is a classic Route 66 town. Well, I gotta eat here because this kind of place represents Real Americana to me. And I'm so glad I did! Walking in, you just know you're in the classic American diner. Booths along the windows. The counter seating overlooking the kitchen. The decor. All of it. Perfection. Got myself a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate malt because DINER, duh! They also serve breakfast all day, which looked mighty tempting, too. I need to come back to Williams because my traintrip to the Grand Canyon rim on the train was squelched by clouds & snow. This is an old school diner on the tourist loop. Very 50s vibe. Menu is American comfort food. I had the daily special huevos rancheros. It was solid. Very flavorful. Came with a fresh tortilla. Great food, great service and friendly staff. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing unintentionally after we arrived in town late due to being hit by another car on the highway on the way to Williams. We were tired, hungry and looking for a quick hot meal. We arrived close to closing which I know can really upset some restaurant staff but they were warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. After not going here for at least 3 years, we decided to give this place a-go again... and so far have been in twice in the past month, and honestly everything has been great... The service as well as the food. **The reason why we stopped coming in, was because a previous worker there that was taking care of us that particular day... happened to not handle our food properly. That day, my husband and I sat at the bar and ordered our food. So of course we have a good view of the service area... well, the waitress we had that day (as our food was coming out) itched her nose and then scratched her head, then proceeded to grab my toast and handle our food without cleaning off or washing her hands... to be frank, I don't think she did it on purpose... more likely out of habit... BUT I was pregnant... and the sight and thought of it was enough to throw me off and disgust me for a quite a while. But like I said, now a few years down the road we decided to try it out and the food is still as yummy and the service still as great. read more

I waited two weeks before posting this, because I really try to be mindful of bad reviews. Two weeks later , I still feel the same. This was hands down the worst meal of my life. My plate looked like someone poured vegetable oil all over my food. My husbands corn beef was not cooked and was horrible . I would avoid this place at all cost . We needed more than appetizers we thought so we looked around town and on recommendations settled on Goldie's Route 66. Monday was meatloaf special night so I was sold right away. My wife had the split pea soup. Meatloaf was good, had the crunchy edge which good also, but have you ever had too much of a good thing. A little much, the mushroom gravy was tasty and the mashed potatoes were good, green beans weren't quite warm and the split pea soup was too salty for our tastes so 4 stars. The soup might not be home made. The service was great and our server checked on us regularly and we didn't need to ask for anything. It has a good diner feel with booths and counter service so the ambiance is what you would expect. Really good experience with the exception of some food tastes. Worth a trip! read more

This place was like stepping back in time when Route 66 was for vacations and small diners and attractions were everywhere a long the way. First off the place didn't look the cleanliness, this place has also been here longer than most people so.... Expected not to be brand new. We ate here twice for the price and portions. Everything was good, hot and tasty. Service was great, the young people working there do an awesome job. Now for all the foodies, this place is most likely not the "best", but for going strong for this long and staff that work hard, this place was refreshing. Step back in time with the family if along Route 66 near Williams AZ. PS: ate here twice had country fried steak and the hash and eggs again. Did notice cooks change on the schedule and the first cook was noticeably better in portions, flavor, appearance, but the second cooks food was not bad, just not as good as the first. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Came in around 7pm and it was slightly busy. HOWEVER, whoever the woman was (not sure if she was the hostess) who was at front of house, clearly gave us racist energy. We were the only Asian patrons. She only spoke to the white patrons, made it VERY apparent to not treat us with any manners or decency. She was rude and condescending to us, but was openly kind to the rest of the patrons. The food itself was mediocre - was served cold fries and most of our dishes had little to no seasoning. Overall, horrible experience. read more

This is the traditional Route 66 diner. Burgers n shakes. 60!s music and fake leather booths. I m sure the decor says it all. Not good enough to return, burger was dry and the fries undercooked. I paid extra for onion rings and only got four. The shakes were excellent. Very good service. read more

It's a diner, nothing fancy or noteworthy--except the fries. I love a good, fresh-cut, golden side of fries with my burger or sandwich, and Goldie's didn't disappoint. I sprinkled some salt, ketchup, and malt vinegar, and I could've just had the fries and I would've been content. ...but I didn't just eat my fries. I also had the Reuben, but I subbed coleslaw for the sauerkraut. It's quite possible that they make their own coleslaw because it was chopped a little more coarse than most food service brands make theirs. Either way, it was tasty sandwiched between buttery, toasted marble rye, melty cheese, and griddled pastrami. Hubby had a patty melt that he enjoyed. Kiddo 1 had chicken nuggets and fries and gobbled them up. Kiddo 2 has the Kraft macaroni and cheese and loved its buttery goodness. Service was quick and friendly. read more
