I ordered the Hopia at this amazing Philippine bakery. It came delivered very very fresh and ao so DELICIOUS!! I WILL BE BUYING THEIR DELICIOUS BREADS AND CAKES AS WELL. This place is the same owner Franchisee when it was located at the corner of Willow Pass Rd in Concord. That place was nasty i think they served old left over food i thought that's why they closed down. Seafood City came and Goldilocks lived again with the same workers. Cakes-frozen???? Go to Red Ribbon they get fresh delivery every week Combo meal????? - not great selection food flavor? Bland cost of ala carte too pricey for portions...go to chowking or Jolibee you'll be happy even Ima's Kitchen and Grill City Utensils-they are very stingy you have to ask and almost argue that you just bought $50worth of lunch and would like utensils Package goods???-look carefully it could be molded. My experience i wasted 10bucks for a molded cake roll, crinckels-stale hard as a rock Points machine where you earn points and redeem for discounts and food----the lady who seems to be the Franchisee she lies so much several times i purchase and when they get busy and have a line she just wants your $ and don't care seems like she doesn't want you to earn points. Today she'll say oh minimum of $15purchase to earn points, tomorrow $20, next day machine don't work, other day oh I'll put it in. BULLSHIT!!!! I'll spread your shady business. My son reserved a cake for my wife, in celebration of Mother's Day. We arrived @ 6:50pm trying to chase their 7 pm closing. But alas, they said they were closed and they were already walking out the door. We tried to tell them that we have a cake in reserve, but to no avail. I call the attention of the top official of this company, these are your employees that you have entrusted your business for growth and prosperity. They do not give a damn to garner more income for the company, specially this special $$$$$ day. I am a Filipino and I patronize Filipino business as much as I can. Very small space and everything is so expensive. The workers are always so busy but friendly when they know you personally. The food is delicious though if you like authentic Filipino food. Unfortunately, I'm vegetarian so there is rarely much choices for me. This place has gotten worse, a small portion of pork lechon cost $ 7.29 . We had lunch there today and we had small sinigang, (the pork was tough,)lechon and ginataan for 26 bucks! This Restaurant/Bakery is located in a shopping center next to other filipino restaurants and supermarket. It is pretty small if you are planning to eat healthy this isn't the right place for you. I think there is a Subway next door. If you decide to eat here, check your blood pressure and your cholesterol level after your meal. The meal is pretty good if you don't mind the chunks of fat. What grossed me out was the "manager." I had a question about some holiday deals and an employee pointed her out to me. As I approached her I saw that she was helping someone write a name on the cake. This is where I lost interest. She made a mistake writing a name and she wiped it out with her finger. No gloves! There are certain favorites that nobody else can beat. And others you can get elsewhere that's better. Their fast food turo-turo line is still the better compared to other fast food places - fresh lumpia, pinakbet, dinuguan, and most savory dishes still the best while the others are decent. You will not be disappointed or say - what the h---l is this? But the portions are still too small. My mom used to say the servings portions are like cat-food portions in cat-food size dishes. Can't disagree with her. There are many other fast food and regular sit-down places sprouting up all over the bay area now - so slowly Goldilock's is losing it's formerly venerated position in my roster. We're supposed to be fed by Goldilocks after a funeral. They arrived more than 2 hours late!!! It's a good thing some people contributed desserts for the occasion, otherwise, the old people and children could have suffered more dire circumstances. Worse, they didn't even apologize for arriving so late!!! They also didn't give any sort of compensation to family who hired them. I'm not surprised people are turning away from this place. Food here is always great - I love the fact that the taste of the food never changes (proof that all the cooks are following the recipes closely). My absolute favorite here is the dinuguan and the lechon paksiw. I have to say, though, that for the lechon paksiw, they sometimes tend to give you barely meat and mostly fat. If you like that, then that's great for you but for me, I don't want way too much fat. Also, I read/heard some complaints about the price... I say it's still a pretty good deal since you get a good amount of food. My boyfriend and I usually get the combination with two entrées and about two good scoops of rice for $8.99. If you get another order of rice (which we normally do since my boyfriend eats a lot of rice LOL), it's $1.99. So, that's about $11 + tax for lunch for 2. Goldilock's goods have deteriorated since I first tried them decades ago, but I still have my favorites: Buko pandan salad - they don't often have them in stock but when they do, I buy a couple. I like that their version isn't overly creamy and the pandan flavor does seem artificial. They also put lots of jello and only a little bit of kaong, which I don't care for. Kutsinta - perfect consistency and flavor! Bibingka - the one with the brown topping. Chewy and fresh most days. **There have been a couple occasions when my purchases were "hard" , not chewy like they should be. So now I always grab a fork and taste the bibingka and kutsinta before I drive away. The times that I have had a problem, staff is quick to replace or provide a refund, and they look genuinely concerned about the issues. read more

Don't count on this location to deliver on time. We had 4 large orders of lumpia for a wedding cocktail hour and were instructed to call ahead of time to ensure it was fresh when we came to pick it up. We called 20 minutes away and they acknowledged that it would be ready. Here I stand 40 minutes later and the food isn't ready. I might as well eat them on the way because we're now missing Cocktail Hour. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere. Their excuse... they were busy. Aren't we all. They are always out of friggin carioca (fried sugar donut balls on a stick) man!! It was barely 12pm on a Monday and no carioca???!?! Anyway, food is good, turo turo (point at the food) style cafeteria style restaurant. Ladies working are old ladies, it is filipino culture as I am filipino as well, to be extremely rude and have a louder voice than talking to customer apparently. Did not happen to me personally, but I was watching other people in line having to talk SUPER loud just to get their order and vice versa. Additionally, the glass window is tall and the people need to talk loud, so that may be why they talk to loud/angry to each other. The ladies just always seem pissed off everytime I go there. The food is good, but the bakery portion is GREAT! The pastillas, the breads, the biscotti, the cakes...I could eat them all! Very limited in items. Only a few items at this location. They didn't have single buns, all the buns where packed in 4 per container. The hot dishes was also very limited and looked stale. There were some cakes in the fridge but couldn't tell what is available. Was hoping they had more choices and more available item like the other south bay locations. read more

Came here for breakfast with my family since we were craving Filipino food. I haven't had Goldilocks in a while and was totally excited for some real food after a long trip from SoCal. It's still the same food I remembered as a kid. We pretty much ordered everything: -Corned beef hash -Pinapaitan -Paksiw na lechon -Tosilog, longsilog, bangsilog - and the pancit! (one of my faves) Would have given 4 stars, but giving two because of service. The older ladies were very helpful and polite, but couldn't keep track of what our orders were. Got a lot of attitude from one of the other girls helping us out. Pretty much scolded me because she got my order wrong and tried to correct me so she wouldn't have to fix my order. All in all, I'll recommend goldilocks for quick and affordable Filipino food especially if you're down to try it. I'm not going to completely knock of service because the other ladies were nice and accomodating for a party of 6. But thank you to that one girl for ruining my morning. read more

Ordered some dinner from there today. The things we tried: Pork lumpia shanghai Dinuguan Pancit palabok The lumpia wrapper was too thick. Its not like typical lumpia where the skin is thin and meat is plenty...the filling in this was nearly nonexistent. The dinuguan was almost the worst I have ever had. It was only pig skin and fatty pieces and it was not vinegary. I must say though, the pancit palabok was pretty good. I would actually come back for the palabok or to try their cakes. This restaurant looks like it's going downhill. For the last few months, we were stopping by to have lunch, but we found out that the so called "combo lunch was until 2 pm only. Soooooooo, on Dec 19, we got there for lunch @ 12 pm to make sure to try the "lunch combo menu", what happened was a disgusting experience. They have on the menu numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 combo menu, not even ONE on the combo menu was available. They want us to order a la carte which cost arm and a leg, small menudo, a cup of rice, small noodles and a can of soda cost us $17. Wow! A big highway robbery . The cashier looked like she was ready to rob us. Ring ring ring , they even had a donation box for employee relief fund( what the heck?).everything on the menu was a big lie, that's why the one in vallejo went down the drain. I went to Seafood City today with my daughter . We used the restroom first. My daughter mentioned that a lady who used the restroom left without washing her hands. When i saw her i noticed that she was wearing the Goldilocks uniform and i followed her. I was hoping she will wash her hands before going back to work. I was disgusted when she went straight in serving food without bothering to wash her hands. I asked for the Manager to report this but i was told that there was no manager that day. last night, i went to buy some food items for christmas at this popular filipino bakery. however, the lady who did the salestalk and helped me all the way to the register erroneously sold me two sweet hams instead of one as i requested. i was so in a hurry that night and there were lots of customers thats why i didnt think about it while at the store. it was only when i got home that i realized indeed, there were two hams in the plastic bag no wonder why the total amount of purchase seems high. being cognizant that you cannot return any sold food items even though untouched, i took my chances and went back to the store, not to argue or blame the lady who made the mistake, but rather ask if i could get a discount since it wasnt my mistake and if not, just simply return the ham to the store without demanding a refund since we dont really need that much ham during christmas. noticing that they were very busy at the store, i picked another food item to buy just to be able to speak to someone about my concern. when its my turn at the cashier, this young lady named ANN, listened intently to my concern and in a very apologetic but cheerful manner directed me to the managers office. after i proceeded and reluctantly asked for the manager, this young gentleman named JAY informed me that the manager just stepped out for awhile and in a very polite gesture asked me how he can be of help. it didnt take a minute for me to explain how the error transpired and JAY sincerely apologized and offered me a refund - needless to say that he was very cheerful throughout the interaction. besides the excellent products that goldilocks has to offer, it is really a great experience going to this store knowing that they have employees like JAY and ANN who can perform above and beyond when it comes to customer service satisfaction, even in the most busy situation. both of them deserves a commendation from goldilocks management. read more

Store needs to update their hours. Went online to double check what time they closed, and it says 730pm. Went to the store at 630pm, and the doors were locked with an open sign at the window with the store hours that stated open til 730pm every day. Oh well. I come here for the Lechon Kawali aka heart attack served up with a vinager-ish liver sauce. Sounds terrible but its delicious. The Lechon here is very decent but of course its not Daly City quality. Its not that cheap. 6-8.00 dollars per entree and charging 2.00 for rice is a rip off for filipino fast food. The rest of the food, I havent tried at this location but its generally the same as all otehr Goldilocks; however, this location would win the slowest service award. I don't want to say this - but the filipino mom/grandmas that work there are super slow. Worst than Panda Express, by much. I mean - wtf - there can be 5 people in line - and it takes them lke 5 minutes to help each customer. Why? The food is already made, just slap it on a plate. They seem to need to take small breaks in between customers...so definatley worst service (Slow) ever. Be prepared to be patiently in a hurry. read more

Always check your receipt! Not sure if it was deliberate or what, but cashier charged me $39.99 for a 100-pc. tray of Lumpia Shanghai that I did not order. How could she made a mistake when I only had a small take-out bag that she handed me? Wasn't she supposed to check what she's keying? If I ordered the lumpia tray, it would've been a large bag. Good thing I was still at the store, and they refunded, but not even an apology. Cashier didn't even want to give the refund receipt. Really bad (dishonest?) customer service!
