Way too crowded! Parking lot is packed. The gym was flooded with people waiting in line to lift. This was at 10pm on a Monday. If you are considering joining this gym I suggest you try it out before you join. Go around the normal time you plan to lift and see what's it's like. I don't have time to sit and wait for people. You lose the "pump" and waste double the time it should take. Just bought a new membership. Gym is huge, clean and it has the best machines. Unfortunately, they sold way too many memberships and the gym is over crowded. I talked to the front desk and they said the only time it is not crowded is 1-3 pm. Other than that, get in line,lol. I'm very disappointed but I found another gym that does not have long wait times. Now I have to go through the process of cancelling my membership. Really wanted this to work. I love the idea of being part of an iconic name like Golds. I still watch pumping iron and see Arnold rocking the golds gym tank. read more

I've had the worst experience with this gym than any other Membership in my life. I signed up online because it was special and they called me and said I can add another person for an additional 1999 so I added my daughter I went physically to the gym to work out two weeks later and I quickly realize that this was not the place for me. It's a beautiful gym, but the parking is absolutely horrible and it's a lot of really young fitness influencer type people. That is just not my vibe and I knew that my daughter wasn't gonna be into that either so that same moment I let them know that I wanted to go ahead and cancel. Of course they try to convince me otherwise, but then eventually connected me with Matthew the manager at the front desk. Matthew took my information and said he would go ahead and put in the cancellation and that I wouldn't get my first month back but I would get my annual fees back. The next month, I noticed that I'm charged again for our membership fees. I called and ask for Matthew. I left a message for him. He never called me back. I called another time a few weeks ago and an employee named. Oscar said that if I wanted to cancel, I needed to call an 888 number or there was a website. This was the first time I have ever heard of this. So I called the 888 number and they said that they didn't see any cancellation on my record and therefore they could cancel my account but they cannot refund my money. Golds gym owes me well over $200. I came in and spoke to the general manager named Danielle he was a nice guy, but all he did was confirm that there was nothing he could do. I looked on the Better Business Bureau. There are many many many complaints against school's gym regarding this exact same issue so be aware it is not easy to cancel at this gym. Gold's Gym in Cerritos is probably one of the nicest gyms I've gone to with the best price for membership. My girl friends and I love taking selfies in the bathroom because the lighting is amazing. The showers and the bathroom are clean every time I visit, there is a lot of different types of equipment, and there is a variety of fitness classes. I like how they have a lot of squat racks and hip thrust machines. And if you are a Platinum member - you have the "Escape Room" where you have to use a special entrance card to get a private room with its own set of squat racks and weights. One thing I don't like is how crowded it gets - which is not really the gym's fault because I choose to go at the busiest time. But the crowd causes the parking lot to be extremely packed! There's a bunch of signs everywhere that say No Gym parking until after 7PM - which makes it even harder to find parking. But other than that - I really like the fitness classes. I've gone to the weight lifting ones and my favorite is the cycling class. The cycling class is cool because they play house music along with have a video of this virtual course to simulate you riding through it. These classes are better than smaller, more expensive studios I've gone to! So even though parking sucks - I recommend coming here to try this gym out. read more

I usually love working out at this gym but today was not it I was working out on the hip thrust machine minding my business mid workout I was approached by one of workers they informed me that we weren't allowed to use the mats for the workout since when was that a issue they have always been there to use for that machine besides that there very inconsistent with there maintenance everyone leaving trash at every machine the paper towels never restocked hope you fix these issues. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars!!!! I can't even cancel my membership. I call the phone number they gave me only to be on hold forever and never talk to an actual person. You cannot cancel in person in this gym that makes so much money. This is ridiculous!! This gym is dirty and always crowded. There are no mats to put on the dirty floor to stretch. The turf area is covered in hair, lint and trash. There are weights left everywhere and nobody goes around the gym picking them up. This place is a joke!!! read more

Good luck cancelling. I tried and tried but they can't help you bc they outsource cancelling. It's done by a 3rd party. The 3rd party is a robot that asks you questions (simple) but even if you give the correct info (verified by the golds gym person I spoke with on the phone) it still tells you that it's wrong! They facility doesn't have a pool, usually packed, and just "ok" when it comes to cleanliness.Also, a bunch of dudes are always taking selfies in the locker room and you might end up in the background as you're changing Might as well go to a cheaper gym for that experience. People who work there were nice though so that deserves a star. read more

My girlfriend normally works out in the Arcadia Gold's Gym by her house. Today, she decided to visit me and take me out to 10:30 am Yoga class at the Cerritos Gold's Gym as her guest. After arriving and filling out the guest form, the front desk worker, Jonathan, informed us that bringing a guest in would cost us $40 for a day pass or $45 for a month pass (Citing that the Arcadia and Cerritos memberships are different). He informed my girlfriend that she only has 14 annual visits to the Cerritos gym and cannot bring any guests in. Jonathan did not offer to show us around the gym or even offer a trial class, which is customary for anyone considering a membership. Instead, he expected a decision right on the spot. read more

This gym is the closest to my house which is a shame because it's so rough here. The parking lot is CROWDED at all times with groups of people who just hang out after their workout in the lot forever all while people are circling for 10+ min just looking for a spot. Also as a woman it is so frustrating that 9/10 times I come here there is NO TOILET PAPER IN ANY STALLS!!! There are FIVE STALLS and so many times they all will be empty and then it takes FOREVER for them to finally come and bring paper. I usually love Golds and I've been to 3 other locations before I moved and after a year I've tried giving this one grace but it truly isn't great. read more

I frequent this gym pretty often at least 3-4x a week. 5ams and 5pms. 5ams less people. You'll see a big difference in the evenings it gets busy, if you're there for an evening workout class make sure to give yourself ample time to look for parking. Once your gym membership is set up, u can add it to your keychain you basically just scan in and out. I have minimal interaction w staff so customer service doesn't stand out. Very well lit place, open concept, inviting. Clean bathrooms. Good music. Other patrons are pretty respectful racking their weights. There's a turf area where you can get the outside breeze. They mimicked Venice Beach location creating the iconic old paint baby blue wall, cute touch. In the 5pms, it may feel like machines are taken, expect to just adapt your workouts at times. The gym busyness has never deterred me from getting a good workout in. For more privacy, the "escape room" is offered, a little extra cost for your membership. Classes and instructors are great, good energy, motivating. Highly recommend :) If you take advantage of all the amenities, you'll feel the good value of your membership. read more

At Cerritos Gold Gym. I took the disgusting pictures and showed them to the front desk staff and asked the staff to show the pictures to the manager. 4/27/2025 - Arrived at the gym around 16:30, went to the women's restroom, and was so so shocked to see all 5 stalls were littered with used toilet paper and seat covers. Two of the stalls were out of toilet paper. It looked so disgusting. The mess was due to no female staff on site on Sunday. How could Gold Gym's management allow this kind of disgusting condition on-going? 4/26/2025 - Went to Gold's Gym in the afternoon. Went to the women's restroom, was so so shocked to see all 5 stalls were out of toilet paper. Used toilet paper rolls were sitting on top of the dispensers and on the floor. When all 5 stalls were out of toilet paper, it means the restroom has not been checked on or cleaned by the staff for a long long time. After complaining to the front desk staff, I saw a female staff replaced the toilet paper in the women's restroom. How could the management allow the restroom not to be checked on or cleaned for such a long long time? read more

One of the cleanest gyms. Everyone here reracks their weights and puts things where they belong. It's cool just suppeerrr packed. Who needs a sauna when you got people around you giving off heat. Gym is awesome! Very cool equipment. Unique machines that you can't find at a lot of gyms. Very big and spacious. Own room for platinum members only. Went on a Tuesday at around 7pm and it was way too packed. I'm hoping it's because the gym just opened. Hard to find an open machine. Teens everywhere talking and taking shirtless pictures not actually working out. GGX room has everything locked so you can't use it only for classes which you need. Gold membership or above for. Mickey they cycling instructor is amazing! Overall very great atmosphere and friendly people. Super clean and tidy gym! 4stars because there's no pool/jacuzzi or steam room. read more

Really like this gym. Have no complaints except one: they really should get rid of the other leg extension machine and get another like the one left to the adductor/abductor machines. This is my home gym since December. I was going to Crunch on Katella for the last 2 years and I needed a change. Absolutely loveeeeee it here! Sometimes the girls bathroom is a bit dirty. At the entrance, you'll be greeted by the staff and see a small area of merchandise. once you scan in (QR Code) then you'll have access to the drink options (energy drinks, pre-workout, water). The cycling center/studio is to the right near the merchandise area. The gym is sectioned off basedd on the equipment. Its a relative nice gym and big. However, it gets super crowded in the afternoons (which golds dont really have control over-I understand). Plus, they NEED to raise the sauna temperature! Its ridiculous low where you can literally be there for an hour. Also, please clean the water in the sauna because it stinks! Lastly, they need better customer service as they have a bunch of teenagers and early 20's people. Its a fairly new gym Golds can do better! read more

I've been a member here now for 9 months. I typically am here twice a week and I have been blown away by how clean and neat the facility is there's always plenty of hand sanitizer and towels. The staff is continually going around with backpack vacuums as well as wiping down equipment. Interestingly I've been to the Culver City location a few times and checked out their new location out in Northridge and both had facilities that were much less clean and well maintained. I can also add the staff has always been helpful and friendly. From buying items at the front desk to questions about equipment, there's always a quick and helpful response. I was waiting to see what classes were on the Group X schedule prior to joining as a supplemental membership to my main 24 Hour membership. I went in to pay first month's dues as well the annual membership fee so I could get reimbursed for 2022 through my current employer and it was an easy transaction. Gym is located in a strip mall and looks to be plenty of parking. Gym itself is gorgeous and although chaotic the employees were very friendly and patient with all of the members asking questions. Gold's gym in Cerritos is a sub quality gym tied to a legendary brand. Almost every time I'm in there, toilets do not work, the sauna is filthy, trash cans are overflowing and the place is managed by seemingly children. In fact, the last time I was there I purchased pre-workout from the broken refrigerator. The front desk clerk did not acknowledge my presence at all and was talking about how "f@$ked up" she was going to get at an upcoming wedding with some friends. Disrespectful to say the least. Parking is terrible at any time of day. Gym members are constantly filming themselves with space-consuming equipment. It is very uncomfortable and compromising for a gym that should be a "safe" space. There is absolutely no cleanliness at the facilities (bathroom is disgusting, no paper towels to clean equipment, and trash left scattered in the workout area). The staff consists of young kids that do not greet, assist, or acknowledge their members at all. The only reason I keep this membership is because it is convenient for location. Do better. read more

Joined the upgraded membership to get the room access in the corner. The music is too loud so I asked the front to turn it down. Still won't change the volume. The sauna is not hot compared to other gold's gym The weights handles are too dirty and rusty. The gym is completely packed and overcrowded and the parking spot is non-existent at this point.
