    Fairly new to the golf game, but I've gone to quite a few sports stores and golf shops. Visited Golf Galaxy to get a glove and some last minute items before teeing off with my friends. Peter helped me and treated me with the utmost best service I could've ever asked for. He took his time and walked around with me providing me insight and real hospitality. It was a fun and enjoying experience and I will be back for my irons! Thanks Peter.

    This past time that I visited this shop I was not at all pleased. There was someone at the cash register who greeted me when I arrived. He wasn't really paying all that much attention. He didn't seem to care whether I or anyone else was coming or going. He didn't ask if there was anything that we were looking for in particular. He was watching TV. He was watching one of the more recent major tournaments that was being televised. I understand that golf is interesting and what not but I think that you should pay attention to the guests that you have coming into the store. For all you know, your lack of enthusiasm or lack of eye contact even might mean a huge sale for you and/or your store! He didn't give a single F! I wasn't pleased with that (lack of) interaction from the very beginning. My lil one came in with us. She was interested in the putting area. She and her Dad putted a bit on the practice area. He saw here there and didn't care either. He didn't ask if we needed help or anything. My hubby went over to the wall where there were a number of sets of clubs on display. He picked through some of them, giving each of them a baby test swing, to get an idea for the grip, weight, etc. Still, no help. We went to look through some of the golf attire and some of the golf shoes. We looked around the store for anyone that might work there. Still, no help. I told my hubby I was over it and that I wanted to go. He seemed OK with that too. He had questions but couldn't find anyone who cared at all. When we left there was a girl at the register. She was on her cell phone laying across the counter and just barely said bye. I mean, I kine it must have been close to closing time but my goodness. She was literally lookin' like a kiddo in her boring math class trying to stay awake. She had her body strewn across the counter, laying on her arm, on her phone and only gave a smirk and a mediocre, "ok!" I don't need to come back here for anything but in the event that I come back because the hubby needs to pick something up, I hope they are much better at delivering SOME kind of customer service.

But i misplaced the receipt and was unable to do the exchange for the correct item.. This was frustrating for me and i got upset but Emily went out of her way to ease my frustration with a 10$ credit towards the new purchase if the correct item and just gave overall great customer service!

When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.
