Be prepare to wait if you're dining in on a Friday night. One server/cashier and probably 1 cook. Food always hits the spot here tho and never feeling gross! We went for dinner on a Friday night and many tables waiting to place their order and a long time to actually get our food but that's when you know it's fresh. We never had their appetizers before. Can't believe everything is oven baked! Truly amazed. Love their honey butter wings! The soy garlic is pretty good when it's baked on but we also used the leftover sauce for dipping! We also got ranch and spicy mayo on the side for an additional charge. Radish and side salad that came with the wings were refreshing! Truly enjoyed the wings and definitely coming back. Maybe I'll call ahead next time tho.

I've been obsessed with oven roasted wings & goobne does it the best! This was my first time at this location. My friend and I ordered the soy garlic & sweet and spicy wings (16, half and half!) and spicy rice cakes. The wings had great flavor, but they were a bit cold / didn't taste as fresh :/ the spicy rice cakes were also a bit disappointing and the cheese was hard. I would still come back, maybe it was just an off day?? The service was a 10/10 though, they were very accommodating with the wait times and friendly. The ambiance was pretty lively and kind of gave pocha vibes LOL, or maybe it was just the big parties that were there.

Goobne was a spot my friends and I had been wanting to try after seeing their Ultimate UFO dish all over TikTok. The presentation alone looked so interesting, so we were really curious to see if it actually lived up to the hype. The Ultimate UFO is honestly a great dish to share. It can probably serve 3-4 people depending on how hungry everyone is, but the three of us split it and it was definitely filling. One thing that also makes it worth it is the price. The dish is $48.99, and when split among three people it comes out to about $16.33 per person before tax, which honestly isn't too bad considering how much food you get. The dish comes with a mix of different flavors and textures, which makes it really fun to eat and share. One of the highlights for me was the rice cakes. They were super chewy, and when they were mixed with the melted cheese it made every bite really rich and flavorful. The cheese adds that creamy, stretchy texture that makes the whole dish even better. The chicken flavors we tried were soy garlic and galbi, and both were really good. The galbi had a nice savory sweetness to it, while the soy garlic had that classic balance of salty and garlicky flavor that makes it really addictive. Out of the two, though, I think all of us preferred the soy garlic because the flavor was just so well balanced and easy to keep eating. The restaurant itself is also pretty clean and spacious, which made the experience comfortable. The layout doesn't feel cramped, so it's a nice place to come with a group and share food together. The workers were also very nice and welcoming, which always makes a place feel more enjoyable to dine in.

We got the pepper crispy and soy garlic half & half combo wings. The wings tasted very flavorful and tender. Store is on the smaller end but is comfortable enough and not cramped. The server lady was very nice and helpful!

There were plenty of parking spaces. When we walked in, one of the staff was in the middle of an argument with another customer, which wasn't the best first impression. We were seated without much of a wait since there was only one other table when we arrived. After ordering, the food took a while to come out since they're baked. The staff offered sauces in a way that made it seem like they were included with the chicken, but we later found out that we were charged for them. The same thing happened with radish. We weren't told that it would be extra charge so it was disappointing to see the charge on the check. There wasn't much of a check-in from the staff during our meal, and the overall service felt unfriendly. As for the food, the chicken was okay, but the pizza was overcooked and dry. Overall, the experience could've been better, especially with clearer communication and more attentive service.

Oven fried wings have the same crispiness as fried wings without feeling too greasy. It also doesn't have excessive breading on the outside so you can really taste the flavor and the chicken more. Orders can take a while so I suggest calling in for pickup! The wings also transfer pretty well surprisingly so it'll still be great when eaten at home. Pepper Crispy - savory but slightly sweet with a light kick, it's a dry rub but it tastes very juicy Soy Garlic - sweet and salty balance, wet rub and still a little crispy Honey Butter Crisp Fries - really addicting with its combination of sweet, salty and savory; the sweet mayo dipping sauce kinda takes it to a whole other level

I've always heard good things about this place and I've been curious to try it after it replaced the old Korean Fried Chicken spot that used to be here. We got Honey Butter Fries and the combo of Medium Soy Garlic and Medium Sweet & Spicy Wings. The fries were definitely too sweet for my liking, the regular fries would've sufficed! The flavors of the chicken surprised me because it was very different than what I would expect since I ordered staple flavors. When we went up to pay, we were given a receipt for a QR code to pay. I was confused why the staff member couldn't have taken our card and processed the payment on their tablet. I'm not sure if I would come again since I don't think the texture of oven baked is for me. The music played in the restaurant had good selections so it did curate good vibes here!

Came here with some friends and despite being the only ones there the food did take some time (so keep that in mind since the wings are oven baked), but it's definitely a healthier alternative than just fried wings. We also got the rose tteokbokki which was yummy and the seasoned waffle fries were pretty good. Plenty of seating (outdoor also available), and the staff was nice!

Goobne is a chain establishment from Korea, famous for its crispy oven-baked chicken. I haven't gotten the chance to try it when I visit the motherland, so I was excited that they opened a location in OC. I came here for a weekday lunch and asked if we could grab one of the tables on their patio since we had our dog with us. The workers were very accommodating and quickly set up a table outside. For the three of us, we ordered half & half wings with original and pepper crispy, tteokbokki, and honey butter fries. Tteokbokki and fries were standard, but the chicken was super juicy and crispy! I couldn't believe they were oven-baked because of how crispy the skin was. Pepper crispy (gochu basasak) is the most popular flavor in Korea and it really didn't disappoint! There was a perfect amount of kick from the pepper and it paired really well with the mayo-based sauce it came with. The food came out a bit slow and service was spotty, although we were the only party in the restaurant for most of our time there, but I think they had a lot of pick-up/delivery orders. I think Goobne is a perfect spot to grab some Korean chicken without the guilt!

Come for the food, NOT for the service! They have bunch of young kids working staff, not attentive, even rude. Took 20 min to bring drinks. Had to ask 2 times for it. Wasn't even a busy day. Never came by to refill water or see how the food is, etc. Ordered Onion Rings+Jalapeno Cheese appetizer but only got Onion Rings. When I confronted them, the smaller server with black-framed glasses gave me an attitude saying the menu was not updated. Umm... He could've told me before I ordered. Later he came by and just snatched the plate away without a single Sorry or My Mistake. The owner needs to train their staff better in basic manners and service etiquette and until then, I won't be coming back. read more

Saw this place on an Instagram reel and made plans to go eat with the hubs. He loves chicken and we made it a date night. Arrived on a Friday evening and they had a steady stream of people come through, both to dine-in and take-away. We ordered the half and half wings with Volcano sauce and Peppered chicken. Both had a great kick without overpowering flavor. All in all, we were fans and would definitely come back. Doesn't hurt that it's oven-roasted chicken and technically healthier than your typical Korean fried chicken. read more

Ambience: the inside can sit about 10 tables? There is also an outside patio with light shading. There's AC inside so it's not too warm or cold. It also pretty clean and well kept, I came during a non busy time so it can add as well. Food: - Soy Garlic Chicken: we got the large which was a bit too much for 2 ppl but the flavor was really good. It was an oven baked chicken which makes it feel like it's healthier ‍‍ it has a nice sweetish and a heavy garlic taste which was perfect since i love garlic. - Baguette Bowl: the bread bowl is smaller than I thought but it was sooo good. I would come back here to get some bread bowls to go. It's salty but sweet and prefect amount of butter some sort of custard in it but savory l idk how to explain it but good enough that I dnt want to share!!! 10/10 read more

Tried this chicken spot a couple weeks ago and couldn't stop thinking about it after. Back here and the food js great again. The sauces are awesome. Spicy, sweet, savory, anyway you like it. If you're in the mood for good chicken this is a great place to try. It's a different from the other Korean chicken spots in the area and I've found my new favorite go to place for delicious Korean chicken. Can't wait to come back! read more

Honestly Korean Fried Chicken is one of the best.... And then there's Goobne. I just don't know how they do it but the outside is so crispy and the inside is so juicy and flavorful. Their Tteokbokki also do not disappoint at all. You will not be disappointed in the price. The size of the wings are huge too so even though it's on the pricey side, the quantity and the size make up for it. The service is top notch, always has a great staff with the best attitude. The ambiance is super chill and relaxing so you will enjoy eating in... which says a lot too these days. Enjoy! read more

Ordered two half orders of wings (which were tiny and very dry). The spicy rice cakes were so bland that I had to reseason and recook them at home by adding more gochujang and soy sauce, etc. Also, their extra pickled radish was always pricy ($2/pack), but the size of the containers shrunk in half and they're still charging $2. Seems excessively expensive and unfortunately, this meal is my last at Goobne. Please go find another chicken shop if you want the best bang for your buck. read more

This restaurant can improve on getting customer's chicken shorter than 45-60 minutes. we waited for our chicken wings for about 52 minutes. we looked like they prioritize togo and deliveries than customers seated at restaurants. several orders were picked before we actually ate. and they are not even apologetic about it. baaaaaaaaad customer service. chicken is good but not a good place to eat. read more

This chicken is my favorite chicken of all time like it was absolutely crispy and not oily at all. The sauce that they provided was incredible and the salad was the perfect crisp delicious break on the amazing chicken. Goobne chicken is an all oven roasted chicken restaurant. Ambiance is small and cozy with a welcoming vibe. It was a bit busy when my friends and I came but still met with great customer service by someone who might be the manager. He sat us down promptly and took our order within a short time. We came hungry and I was glad we did! The soy garlic flavor wasn't too salty like I had expected and had a slight refreshing tang, I think from the garlic. The Sweet N Spicy was a classic flavor and not that spicy at all. The fact that the chicken isn't deep fried in oil was a big plus for me personally. 10 out of 10 recommended to try. Foo me has some of the best chicken ever! It's super juicy and the seasonings and sauces are well marinated into the chicken, and is just super tasty. Service is super great!! Our hostess was super attentive and was there to answer any and all questions we had!! The place is super cozy and clean, with very cute food mats on the table. Very cute place in general!! I would definitely come back again in the near future!! Would especially recommend soy garlic and pepper crispy wings, as well as the onion rings. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a delicious chicken place!! read more

I came back to goobne to bring friends and tried their galbi fried rice, waffle fries, and chicken. Nothing disappointed again! I will say though the food cooking time takes a bit long and it was really slow when we came. I wish they gave a heads up on the cooking time just so we were aware cause we waited quite a bit. Other than that I enjoyed it again! read more

When I heard that there was a Goobne in the OC area -- I knew I had to make a stop when I come to LA. And that's what I did -- I was able to finally try the famous Goobne that gobbled up the Korean Chicken franchise with their famous "volcano" chicken back in 2016/2017. Goobne doesn't fry their chicken -- instead they oven roast so it's a completely different game in the KFC league. Goobne started popping off as Goobne was portrayed as a healthy chicken and the health/beauty-conscious people in Korea shifted to Goobne. Also -- the volcano chicken did its fair share and the creation of the "chibap" craze can be contributed to Goobne as well. Mukbangers at the time said that the volcano chicken (boneless) is amazing if you mix it with rice and "chibap"(abbreviation of chicken and bap(rice)) and it became a big craze! Volcano chicken was becoming the "IT" chicken and Goobne actually even started selling instant rices and cheese to encourage people to chibap. It was epic because Korean people LOVE spicy and the volcano chicken had a good amount of spice that appealed to spice lovers. They also had a "sweet volcano" that is a less spicier a little more sweeter version of the original volcano. Unfortunately -- as any craze would, the craze started to dine down and other oven roasted KFCs started popping up. Goobne still definitely has a presence though in Korea -- they aren't just at their peak phase anymore. I tried Goobne twice in Korea so I had really high expectations. I ordered the volcano boneless and crispy pepper boneless half and half. The crispy pepper also was a hit in Korea as well for their successful usage of the dry rub. The order took about 20-25 minutes to make as it was ready by the time I arrived. I didn't dine in so I can't comment much of the service but the cashier and the person who took my order was pretty nice. I drove home in the notorious LA traffic -- it took me 40 minutes to go pick up my order but took me 1hr10min to get home. I did the unboxing and one thing I noticed right off the bat was that Korean Goobne cuts their chicken smaller -- so it's easier to eat. Goobne here, evenly cuts their chicken into 6 big pieces, primarily of dark meat. So it was 6 pc of volcano boneless and 6 pc of crispy pepper. There isn't a magma sauce for the volcano like the Korean version but I did order an extra side of volcano so I can use that when I make my chibap. The crispy pepper comes with what appeared to be sriracha mayo. The Korean one comes with buldak mayo but I don't think they did buldak mayo as the sauce was not spicy at all (felt more like yum yum sauce). But despite the differences, it was pretty impressive. I wouldn't say it's just like the Korean one but the flavors are pretty similar and the only big difference is the size of the chicken pieces. The volcano sauce was pretty good and I'm actually happy that they didn't have the magma sauce because I don't do too great with spicy. The spice on the volcano was perfect and the chibap was even more amaziny. The crispy pepper was really good too. I noticed newer Korean foods have a tendency to be amazing the first bite but you get sick of it by the third or fourth. And crispy pepper is exactly like that. Really really good the first bite and you think "How does someone even come up with this flavor/taste" but by the third or fourth you're kinda like eh this is heavy. I primarily think it's mainly due to the fact that the sauce wasn't the actual buldak mayo. I'm glad though that Goobne is expanding further and further. They're still only in SoCal but I hope that it can expand even further into the West Coast! read more

We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

i was really looking forward to this place becuase its just down the street from where i live , its a nice cozy place and they serve alcohol , but the chicken isnt good at all, got the marinated chicken and it was way to sweet and a little bit of dry because i guess they left it in the oven for too long, disappointed Update!! Gave this place another try . Didnt feel like driving to K bbq chicken..and the chicken came out fantastic! I think the first time I went they messed up..keep up the good chicken! read more

Goobne Chicken has always been my go-to spot for great chicken. However, I had a disappointing experience with delivery today. It seems the food arrived earlier than expected, but I didn't receive any notifications. By the time I found it, the food was cold and the container had become soggy from the moisture. My disappointment lies with the delivery service, not Goobne Chicken. I hope the app's GPS and notification system can be improved to prevent this in the future. read more

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Goobne Chicken, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. This Korean-style fast food chain specializes in oven-roasted chicken, and let me tell you, it's some of the best chicken I've ever had! The chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy texture and just the right amount of seasoning. I also appreciated the fact that it wasn't greasy like typical fried chicken. We arrived at 6:30 pm and placed our order, but waited for nearly an hour for a simple chicken dish. Surprisingly, there were no updates from the staff during this time. When I inquired about our order, they only then realized they had overlooked it and began preparing our food. Tastes 5 stars or 6 stars Server's kind 5 stars Management 1 star the food is served little late. Servers are often panicked when there has many orders. I think it's the management's fault, not the servers. It looks like they need a more time for smooth. read more

Second time here in a week. Garlic soy chile. Is a must. Pepper chicken is so crispy you would think it was fried. Super good flavor but the service time is a bit long which knocked it down a star. read more
