The perfect bite
Christie V.

Best bossam I've had in the oc so far! I placed my order about 25 min before arriving and went I got there everything was all packed and ready to go! The women helping me with my Togo order were so nice and even included extra banchan in there for me. Love the service here! They give you everything you could ever want with bossam: lettuce, radish wraps, salted cabbage, seasoned radish, samjang, salted shrimp, raw garlic, raw jalapeños, soybean paste stew, different banchans, and rice. Perfect dinner on a hot summer day!

I love bossam so came here to try the Bossam And it was yummy indeed Very friendly ahjummas in quiet plaza [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is squid game themed according to the name and colors. But a nice mom and pop food restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Visited early in the morning while heading to the amusement parks and tried a few items. Overall, was not impressed with items we ordered as well as the side dishes that came out.

Impulsively, I popped into this place because I was in the neighborhood. The food was delicious, and the server patiently helped me pick out what would be good for a first-timer. I will definitely be back!

Quick and friendly service. The lady always came and checked in on us and we never called her and she knew right away to come and refill our drinks. She was always on it. Food was delicious but the veggies for the ssam was frozen and i wish it was more fresh but i understand its done that way to preserve it longer. The lady gave my friend a portion of my cold noodle to try which was really nice of her to do since we did not ask but she noticed we ordered a lot. lol. Ambiance was chill not a lot of people inside and they have a lunch special. I forgot to take a photo of it. But i remember it was worth it because of the price. I had the cold noodle and the combo ssam with bulgogi.

Food- We got samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) with perilla seeds, and it was pretty decent. The portion of chicken was nice, and the soup was thick. But it was $23.95 which is very pricey. Service- All the servers were nice and friendly, but it took more than 30 minutes to get our dishes; Which I understand, but it would've been nicer if they told us it will take some time for certain dishes because all other tables who came later than us already got there dishes :/ Ambiance- It was very clean and nice but I don't get why they chose squid game as their theme because I thought this place is a korean pub or something... In fact it's more like authentic Korean comfort food place. I would like to come back to try their morning specials with reasonable price.

Bossam
Winny T.

Came in to try the bossam out because it's one of my favorite Korean dishes and I'm so glad I did. It is one of the best bossams I have ever had. They gave us a hefty portion of meat and it was really tender and delicious. There were plenty of side dishes and they also provided us with seaweed soup and rice. This was so much food that we had to take the rest home. The waitresses were so nice too and they even gave us extra sauce for our takeout. This dish is more than enough for two people and it is absolutely worth the price. I'd definitely come back again.

Side dishes

We came here for bossam and was not disappointed. Their pork was perfect tender and flavorful. I love that they give lettuce, cabbage and radish paper for wraps. I also got their spicy cold noodles and it was way too much food for 2 people. Their side dishes were also super good. The ladies working here were super sweet and attentive. Would definitely come back again to try their other dishes :)

I was craving Bossam and this place really hit the spot. My bf and I also got the Gamjatang, which was very flavorful. The workers were also kind and attentive. I will be coming back with more friends for sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus, the squid game theme was cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The restaurant is pretty huge but it gets super loud! The screens are always playing kpop groups with music playing and its always fun to watch. For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!

And their hands go inside everything. They grab the rinsed pitcher, scoop the tea water and serve it. Also mind you, the tea water is inside those huge trash cans. AND when they were transferring the ice (from again those trash bins) they would lift it to pour all the ice in to the tea water bin and you can see all the dirty drippings from the outside wheels drip inside the container.. @.@ No its not a one time thing with one employee...they all knew the drill and did it like routine. Me and my friends watched the whole thing while we were just trying to enjoy some drinks at the bar. It was so disgusting, my friends wanted to pay and leave quickly but NO theres no way im paying for the drink i only had a couple sips of and couldn't finish. So i told the manager, didnt pay and left. He was not shocked ... wonder why. And now im just telling all my close friends not to go here... digusting.

I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? The cabbage salad dressing that comes on the side is seriously addictive. The portion size is huge, there's no way I could finish it by myself. It has the crispy texture of Japanese katsu, while still having a great pork flavor of its own. I honestly think this could be considered one of their signature dishes. If you're looking for authentic Korean comfort food with generous portions and warm service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely keep coming back!

I love that you order off their kiosk which is conveniently located at the table already. The staff was quick to bring out the banchan. To start, we shared their leek pancake and pork blood sausage. For my lunch I went with their cold noodles since it was a cold day. The people I came with had some pork spare ribs, which came with rice and bone knee soup. And a bibimbap. The leek pancake was the best thing there. The pork blood sausage was more of rice noodles rolled up with pork blood flavored. I can't imagine it being much portion. Eveything else was bland which we all agreed to. For my cold noodles I added plenty of vinegar and mustard but it was not it. Still lacked flavor. Also it only had half a boiled egg and two verythin slices of beef. The pork was over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. The bibimbap was also bland even with their red sauce. We we were all disappointed. The pricing is affordable. The staff was nice and quick. They made sure to check up on us. Parking here is a tough even though it was a weekday. Their lot was full and you can park next door but by the dental office but that was also full. We waited a little and eventually found parking. The restaurant is very casual, clean and spacious. This was just really meh to me.

We had the sirloin steak and the bone-in rib eye. They were both great. The server did a great job of cooking the meat perfectly. My wife and I both thought the kimchi was fantastic -- and, other than the quality of the meat, the quantity of the kimchi is really let. We also ordered the egg stew and kimchi stew. But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.

I love that they give you a choice of instant noodles or kalguksu for free with the combo!! I love that their intestines come already cooked, so you don't have to wait for them.
