I'm guessing the whole town is starting the New Year with plumbing issues because our go-to plumbing companies were all booked out for a few days. We had, what we thought was, an urgent plumbing matter that needed to be taken care of. So, we headed to Yelp to find someone. We saw the good reviews for this company and gave them a call. It turned out to be a one man show, Shane. Even though he was busy today, he was able to schedule us in for the evening around 1700-1800 (thank God). He came and assessed our issue. After knocking out the wall and insulations, he told us the problem had nothing to do with plumbing, but instead it was related to our ac. He gave us some suggestions and options on how to go about fixing the problem. And guess what? He didn't charge us for the dx or work he did. That's unheard of!! After reading Good 1 reviews I called and "Shane answered," unreal to have a live person answer the phone! I explained my situation and he actually said, "I will come after my next appointment!" I was shocked to say the LEAST! Is there a reason we can't give SIX stars! Shane had come back twice to check on things that were discovered during the fiasco mentioned in first review. He has gone out of his way make sure some of things I needed done around the house could be done efficiently and even showed me things I could do on my own. If you are looking for someone fast, reliable and personable - Shane is your guy. Just know he takes care of his customers: so this may mean a non-emergent job gets pushed back for an older couple with no running water. So we tried to cap off a water pipe on our own in the backyard...what a bad idea that was. We ended up with our water turned off and no way to cap off the water ourselves and in dire need of help. I called Good 1 Plumbing because our toilet downstairs was leaking around the base. At least for me, calling a new repairman is like bringing your car to a new mechanic. You're never know who you're going to get and if they are going to treat you right. I can say for sure that Good 1 Plumbing will treat you right. You have nothing to worry about. I was able to make an appointment online and was given an estimate via email. When Shane arrived, he was very professional and funny at the same time. He quickly diagnosed the issue and got to work. So, Shane rents a 100ft snake the next morning, and comes out to do the work himself. So she waited years until there were many issues / problems in the house. Many times, I was wiping up yucky stuff leaking onto her floor - it was so gross! I'm familiar with Yelp, so I read through some reviews because it's nearly impossible to have a 5 star history like that, especially in a job like plumbing. The house owner that doesn't speak English said this about Shane - just from observing him working on all the plumbing issues (some serious): Shane is hard working, fast, efficient, and has an honest and positive personality. He leaves your house with everything repaired and fixed very well. And the customer (she's referring to her feeling) is left in their home feeling happy with a sense of peace. I find her feeback of Shane significant because you can imagine how amazing he is if so much is said by someone who can't even speak directly to him. It's rare to find a human being with this level of dedication and care - especially bringing it to his work, and even more so, in a difficult customer service role like plumbing. I read his mission statement and I absolutely agree Shane treats every customer like his own immediate family. In fact, my brother also does plumbing and other work - and I already know (because we asked) he would have CHARGED MORE! A few month back my mom was complaining about her faucet being difficult to operate and that she wanted it replaced. I saw the great reviews on yelp and reached out. Shane was quick to respond, we set up an appointment and he can and conquered the extremely stubborn faucet. But the replacement faucet was to tall. Shane scheduled a call back the following day so my mom could go and find something that had a suitable replacement. She ran in to Shane at the hardware store and he helped he select a better replacement. The next day he came and set the new faucet in place and mom was happy. Now come this week, we found that her electric tankless water heater is leaking and she calls Shane on Sunday and he was so nice to stop by and see what was going on. He told us to shut off the breakers to the water heater and that he would return Monday to look at it and walked us through the options to replace it. We gave him the green light and he ordered the replacement and returned Wednesday with his electrician and removed the old unit and installed the new unit and mom is happy to have hot water. Wasn't available to come and help me out with an issue I had today as he was booked up but he was able to take my call and text and even turned into a FaceTime just so he can ensure I was doing things correctly. Here's how today went down.. I was in the process of replacing an old toilet with a new toilet (new toilet recommended by Shane by the way)and thought it was going to be an easy job as I just replaced my other restroom toilet last week but boy was I wrong. My water line valve had been rusted and broke off when I tried to turn it into the off position so I sent Shane a text with a Photo of my issue. I had a major under the sink leak that caused flooding. Shane was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. He also free of charge did a check of the other plumbing around the home.
