I found this company to be extremely expensive. They charged me $4,000 to move a 1,100-square-foot apartment from Miami to Orlando. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because their office staff was polite and responsive over the phone, and the movers themselves were professional, hardworking, and very courteous. What I found unacceptable is that I was charged time-and-a-half for every hour after the first eight hours, even though the movers themselves do not receive overtime pay. I am writing to provide an update regarding my experience with Good Greek Moving. Unfortunately, I continue to receive little to no communication from the company and its employees. Despite my repeated attempts to reach out by email, my concerns remain unresolved. At this time, several of my belongings are still missing, and a number of items arrived damaged. To date, no one from the company has contacted me to discuss these issues or provide any information regarding the status of my claim. Additionally, I adjusted my schedule to ensure that I would be available on the date and time that had been discussed. However, the movers still arrived earlier than agreed upon, creating further inconvenience and confusion. The lack of communication and coordination throughout this process has been extremely disappointing. The level of customer service and professionalism I have experienced has been unacceptable. I entrusted Good Greek Moving with my belongings and expected timely communication and accountability. Instead, I have been left without answers regarding my missing and damaged property. I respectfully request an immediate response addressing these outstanding issues and a clear plan for resolving my claim as soon as possible. After speaking with Nicole, she scheduled a revisit because several items were left behind at our home. These were items the movers had instructed us to leave for them to take. To help the process, I even sent a video of the remaining items to both the sales representative and the manager so everyone knew exactly what needed to be picked up. My partner was told by Anh that the crew would arrive sometime Monday afternoon. When the afternoon came and no one showed up, I called the director to ask for an estimated arrival time. He told me they were unloading the truck and would come afterward. Hours passed with no communication. We didn't receive a return call until around 7:30 p.m., when we were told they were still unloading the truck and would not be coming. During that conversation, Anh seemed to have no understanding of the difference between afternoon and evening. He also told us that because this was a "free" revisit, we were not a priority. That statement alone speaks volumes about how this company values its customers and stands behind its mistakes. When we asked if they could come directly to us the following day, we were told no because they had other customers to take care of. The conversation then shifted to blaming us for not loading heavy furniture into the truck ourselves. That is completely unreasonable. We left those items because the movers specifically instructed us to, and given that they had already worked an incredibly long day due to poor scheduling and management, I understand how the items could have been accidentally overlooked. I do not blame the movers. They worked extremely hard and remained professional throughout a very difficult day. The responsibility lies entirely with management. From poor planning and broken promises to a lack of communication, dismissive attitudes, and blaming the customer for the company's mistakes, every interaction with supervisors has been disappointing. This has been, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had. The moving crew deserves recognition for their hard work, but the supervisors and management have demonstrated little professionalism, accountability, or customer service. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. This was by far the worst and most expensive experience/mistake we have ever made in the 30 years of moving around the world! Their sales department and management were downright rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. They lied,over sold, and over promised their services, as well as showed up 1 man short and almost 2 hours late. They worked 3 hours past the cut off time, which we were very adamant they could not go past, only to have them not even finish the job or take all of the furniture and items we needed. Best part was some of the furniture they did take was smashed, chipped or handles completely broken off that we didn't find until they left. I should also mention my husband who is a disabled veteran not only had to help with 50% of the work because they were not capable or strong enough. He had to educate them on how to properly park the truck and get the ramp down. After all of this, we are still having to rent a truck to finish the job ourselves as I am writing this review. Which put our move a week behind schedule. Honestly,I will say that the actual movers themselves were friendly enough and did try their best. We believe as mentioned above the 3/2 men were obviously not capable and or trained enough to do the job we paid $1600 for. For which this would be a sales department/management problem. We definitely won't be utilizing their services again for anything! We will move ourselves, (which we practically did) before we go with any movers again! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this moving company was disappointing enough that I feel others should know before booking. At the time of booking, I was told three movers would be assigned to my move. On moving day, only two arrived, and one was visibly impaired and unsteady on his feet. The second mover did his best to compensate, but the move took significantly longer than quoted and the service did not reflect what was sold to me. My boxes were clearly labeled and the movers were walked through which items belonged in which rooms. Despite that, boxes were left scattered throughout the house, which created hours of additional work for me after an already long day. Several pieces of furniture were damaged in transit, including my office desk, which was beyond repair and cost nearly $300 to replace out of pocket. I also discovered personal property missing after the move, including medication. Customer service has been the most frustrating part. Most of the people I spoke with at the Tampa location, including Chandler, West, and Ron, were either unresponsive or dismissive. One representative from the corporate office told me, "you wouldn't eat your meal and ask for a refund," which I think speaks for itself. The only person who handled my concerns professionally and set clear expectations was the young woman in the claims department. The corporate office was equally unwilling to make any accommodations and pointed me back to the 15-day claims process, which they indicated was unlikely to result in meaningful restitution. The total cost of the move was $1,450 ($250 deposit and $1,200 at completion). I have filed a complaint with the BBB and plan to follow up with my bank once the claims process closes. Moving is stressful on its own. Damaged property, missing items, poor communication, and a crew that did not match what I paid for made it considerably worse. DO NOT SHIP VALUABLES WITH THIS COMPANY. I inherited my great grandmother's piano after my grandmother passed. I had it shipped from Florida to North Carolina. They took the legs off the piano when wrapping it for shipment, and placed them with the piano bench. Prior to delivery, they placed it in their "facility" for storage for a few days. When the piano arrived, it was missing the legs and the bench. I have called a few times and have only been told "they're looking for them." Its been nearly a week now. Its just absurd that I only shipped one item, a piano. The bench and legs are part of that piano...my great grandmother's piano. Its heartbreaking. This sort of mistake is a level of incompetence and negligence that is absurd when your paying $3k to have one item moved. I can not fathom how or why they did not store the legs/bench with the piano or pick up the legs/bench with the piano when picked up for delivery. I attached the picture after they removed the legs and placed them with the bench before wrapping and loading. Doing the math on my move and extra charges that they could not even tell me what they were for, was an additional $400. I have a one bedroom apartment, moved 20 min away and my total cost was $1250. Movers were AMAZING! Finished the job in under 3hrs, didn't break, scratch or dent anything and they all had great personalities!! But the company is only getting 3 stars from me because Lupe (one of the managers) was a pain to work with. Unprofessional tone, calling mid-move to give me updates even though the guys were already there doing the job, and my favorite part was that she tried charging me for 3 men (when I only asked for 2) but 3 showed up. That's not my problem you don't know how to properly delegate work. You either have 3 work for the price of 2, or figure it out before you come but don't call the customer and try telling me I have to pay for 3 when the contract clearly says 2, and then don't get belligerent with me because I'm annoyed you're wasting my time because you screwed up. Lupe also charged me for 4hrs and was adimant I pay for 4hrs (when it was a 3hr minimum) and then didn't even put a refund through. I had to call their customer service and work with a rep to get the refund. God forbid you charge for the 3hrs and then go from there. WARNING: NEVER USE Good Greek moving company. Really, I would give this NO stars if I knew how. This is my first Yelp review, that is how bad they were. Good Grief! is too nice. The salesperson told me their employees were experienced and fast; neither was true. Two of the four movers had been there less than three weeks with no prior moving experience. There was no supervisor to instruct them. I had to say more than once to men standing around, "Why not get a dolly and move some boxes?" They did not pick up the furniture but dragged it across the floor and down the stairs, scraping the floors and stairs as they went. The salesperson told me that they would be able to move my baby grand piano and refrigerator but they struggled with both and ended up leaving both behind. I paid over $200 for the 33 minutes of their time while they all tried to figure out how to move the piano. At the new house, they unwrapped the furniture before removing it from the truck, and then dropped the mattress in the grass and pollen. One cream colored chair was wedged in the back of the truck and smeared with black grime in the process. They charged me overtime for the unloading--estimated at 1.5 hours, but actually took more than 3 hours--because they stood around not unloading. When I told the crew I was not paying for overtime until I talked to a manager, they debited money from my bank account anyway without my authorization. I tried to reach a manager, calling for five straight workdays, and no one ever returned my call. You would be better off in a local move getting a U-haul and two of their men. read more

Prices were extremely fair especially for moving a 3000+ sq ft home such as my own, not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive. I had a terrible experience with Good Greek Moving & Storage. I was verbally quoted $169/hour and told the total cost would be around $2,000. Once my belongings were loaded into their truck, the company demanded $4,106.97 and threatened to take my belongings to storage for $500 per night if I refused to pay. I was with my 7-month-old baby, under stress and pressure, and had no choice but to pay under duress. After delivery, I discovered property damage: chipped walls, a broken dresser, and two damaged beds -- one with a broken electric base no longer working. I have already filed official complaints with: * FDACS (Case # 2510-05119) * FMCSA (Case # 00251274) * BBB (pending case number) This experience was emotionally exhausting and financially unfair. We used them for a small move from Marco Island to Orlando. They stayed in touch and everything went great. We ordered two guys to help us move but three showed up. But we still were only charged for two. The only problem I had was that they offered a gift box worth $1,000 but didn't bring it. When I asked about it, they said I could pick it up at their office in Plant City. I did, but it wasn't worth it. It's mostly coupons I don't need. read more

So, I did not have a bad experience with the moving crew at all. George and those guys rocked the moving experience and they were a pleasure to work with. However, Matthew Seepersad the GENERAL MANAGER yelled at me over the phone after changing the quoted estimate I SIGNED. I was quoted a 3 hour minimum and he said, "I think its ridiculous that its 3 hours." I said, "I am happy it's three hours because I need the time." He then replied, " I'll go ahead and change it to two." I didn't understand why he was changing it and I said I wanted what I was quoted. I guess he didn't like that and YELLED at me stating, " MAAM LISTEN TO ME IM TRYING TO HELP YOU OUT." I was so annoyed. I know what I needed and I knew if they took less time I would pay three. I was aware. However, he was so rude and disrespectful. I told him I am going to let my husband talk to him and he said "perfect". Dead give away he has zero respect for women. I have no idea how he is a general manager speaking to people like that. We then had to call customer service to try and have someone explain why he is trying to change our terms and to get assistance from someone who isn't a ignorant woman hater. No one wanted to help until I said, "I do not know why its okay to treat people this way. Why is no one willing to handle this." The calls are recorded and the moving crew said they heard what happened and wanted to make it right. I am giving three stars for the move out experience because of good ol Matthew Seepersad. Horrible, fraudulent company. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your moving needs. I received a "guaranteed" quote for $6,500, 2 other very reputable companies came in around 5,000 for the same move so I told Savannah- my estimator/sales rep I'd go with another company. She asked me to please wait and she would see if her manager could match it. They supposedly did, but this was just a trick. They put on the quote the minimum for hours. My move will end up costing over $10,000. I call weekly trying to get some sort of explanation or help from customer service. I've spoken to both Terry and Melissa who initially stated they will speak to someone else and get back to me. It has been a month and no one has gotten back other than during my first complaint where I pointed out they overcharged hours. They refunded one hour and considered the matter closed. I stated that would not suffice as I wanted to understand how they thought it was good business practice to deceive people on their pricing. Could they not at least honor their original price even though it was $2000 higher than if I went through another company. They no longer answer or return my calls. If this alone doesn't convince you to go with another company please consider the following. We packed all of our own boxes. They didn't use a single box, maybe they used some tape on the wrapping of blankets which I was told would be free. We were charged $125 for packing supplies. After I was out $5,000 from what I was expecting I searched them on better business bureau and found that this is the norm they have dozens of similar complaints. Also I was charged $199 an hour when all the other complaints stated they were charged $149 an hour. You pay the hourly rate for them to drive to your house and the. They charge 1.5x hourly rate for overtime and state it takes just as long to unpack as pack despite the fact that they disassembled furniture in the initial packing. These people are absolute scum. They are super shady booking you and are very careful to lead you on without committing to anything. Should have been a huge red flag but I needed movers and told myself I was just being paranoid. They then proceeded to hit me with a HUGE unexpected (by over $1000 what was discussed in the phone) fee before they unloaded me and threatened to take all my belongings if I didn't pay it. They then proceeded to laugh at my concerns and told me "I'm making it all up" but refused to send me the phone recording of my calls with their sales rep that they supposedly have carefully reviewed but won't let me listen to to to prove anything they are claiming. I paid over $13,000 to move from FL to MA and I think everything I own was damaged. There was tape against so many of my wood furniture items, as well as dents and scratches. My solid mahogany bedroom set looks horrible. They quote you $0.60 a pound for reimbursement of damages which results in nothing since the weight of my furniture isn't its value. Boxes were squashed and they only sent two movers from FL to take care of the entire move and I felt horrible for them. They weren't the ones who damaged everything. I had to throw away two speaker lamps and another standing lamp because all three were broken. I would have been better off buying new things when I got here. If you have anything of value and/or breakable don't use this company. They offered such a small amount for the damages and if I took it I couldn't write a review so I am foregoing the tiny amount of money so I can steer people away instead. read more

The only thing Good Greek Moving and Storage is 'Good" at is the paperwork to protect themselves from liability for mistreating and mishandling your property. I paid almost a $1000 to have an heirloom spinet piano moved by professional piano movers. What I got was three guys who had never moved a piano let alone had any training on how to properly move a piano. I suspect they were day laborers by how the handled both the piano and the buildings they moved from and to. After insisting my piano (the smallest type of piano made) was too large to move, they then decided to do it anyways. Instead of using a dolly to remove the piano from my old home, they dragged the piano across a wooden floor, gouging the floor in the process. When they go to my new home instead of putting the piano on a sled to get it up the stairs, they flipped it completely upside-down and dragged it up the stairs on it's top, knocking it against a wall and damaging the railing. Anybody who knows anything about pianos knows you NEVER flip them upside down as it can easily damage the internal mechanics. To top it off, they didn't inform me of the structural damage they had caused to both building I discovered it after they had left. I would almost use the word charlatans to describe them. Their paperwork is on point though so despite the fact they totally failed to provide the service I paid almost a $1000 for and beat the heck out of a family heirloom I will probably never see a dime of it back. Horrible company. My sister was displaced by hurricane Milton. Mobile home has so much roof damage it was not repairable. She asked for a written estimate because she had no electricity and internet to receive online. When movers showed up they didn't have estimate even though driver reminded office of request. He was told to do over phone. A 2 bedroom home took almost 4 hours to pack and move. It was a 5 mile move to storage. They charged $1400+ . We were expecting in the neighborhood $800. They ripped off a senior citizen that was under a lot of duress. When she called to complain the woman that answered was extremely rude. They charged a lot for their protective packing covers used in lieu of blankets. DON'T USE THEM unless you have a lot of money to throw away. read more

Liars and thieves! I moved from Miami last year and they were so good I used them again this year. They lied to me and said they no longer have a flat rate that I had to use hourly. I thought ok, based on last year I paid for 2 trucks and for guys knowing how long it took to move last year. The long and the short of it is that it was robbery pure and simple! I paid $4800 to move last year from miami to Altamonte Springs and this year $8000 to go 8 miles! My experience is HORRIBLE! When they came to pack they brought 30 boxes and left when those were filled! Did not say they would not be returning.... JUST LEFT. I have lived in this home for 0ver 50 years and had done of A Lot of the packing in advance. However, I had to hire 3 people for 5 more hours to finish the packing! This is not a kind or effective operation, especially for an elderly woman on her own. Upon delivery, at 7 am - The passenger in the truck was full of attitude!! The fees were not as explained, I'm completely TOTALLY disappointed with this service. I placed a call- and a text for the representative that I originally dealt with to call me back and have not received a call back. I have damages and they are going to be reported. Worst service purchase experience of my life. They brought a moving truck too small for the move! I saw my expensive household furnishings tied to the outside of the truck as it pulled away. They said "This is done all of the time. Don't worry". I would have definitely bought increased insurance! They unloaded my furnishings at their warehouse only to reload on two separate trucks for the out of state transport. This was not in the contract! We had approximately $6,000.00 dollars' worth of damage and lost items. They offered $500.00 as payment and wanted me to sign a paper saying that I wouldn't complain (which was totally against a state law). I said I wanted to run this by the State of Florida's Attorney General's office. They quickly told the State of Florida that I rejected the claim which I didn't. When I signed the contract with Good Greek, I was told the shipment would be picked up between 7:00 and 9:00 am on a particular date and the shipment would be delivered on an agreed upon date approximately 11 days in the future. On the day before the pickup, I received a call from Good Greek telling me that they did not do pick ups in the morning because they do send trucks out empty (this is not true) and the pickup would be between 12:00 and 3:00. This forced me to reschedule several appointments I had for the afternoon. On the morning of the pickup, I received a contract to sign and then 30 minutes later I was sent a different contract to sign because the original contract was for a local move and mine was a long distance move. When the truck arrived, one worker could not speak English and the other could barely speak English. This made communicating difficult. The furniture that was being shipped was in a clearly defined space in my garage and I pointed out to the workers exactly what was being shipped. When I signed the inventory, I was not as diligent as I should have been and did not realize that they had packed an item that was nowhere near the shipment. In addition, the workers would not leave a copy of the inventory I signed. The following day I went to retrieve something and realized that it had been mistakenly packed on the truck. Since I needed the item for an appointment in 2 days, and because I'm a reasonable person, I offered to drive 1.5 hours to the storage facility to retrieve the item. However, I agreed to meet a Good Greek truck approximately 45 minutes away to get the item. I was told the truck would arrive at 9:00. The truck arrived at 9:40 and the crew ignored me getting out of the truck. When I stopped them and asked if they had the item, the driver told me I should have hard to drive to the warehouse to get the item and he was doing me a favor giving me the item. In addition, the day after the pickup, I received a call telling me that the delivery would be made not on the agreed date but 5 days earlier. I told them that was not acceptable, they agreed to deliver the shipment on the original date. Based on the understanding the shipment would be delivered on the date agreed to, I purchased a plane ticket to travel to the delivery location to assist with the unpacking. Several days before the agreed date of delivery, I received a call telling me that the delivery would be 4 days later, which forced me to cancel my plane ticket because I had a conflict and could not travel on the revised delivery date. The person at the delivery location received a text the morning of delivery that the shipment would arrive between 4:00 and 6:00. However, the shipment did not arrive until 7:30. At 7:30 I received a message from Good Greek with the final invoice amount. Within 5 minutes of receiving the invoice I paid it using Zelle. However, Good Greek would not unload the shipment because the payment was not showing in their system and even though I assured them I had mad the payment they would not unload until I sent them a screenshot of the Zell transaction. Throughout the engagement with Good Greek, it was clear the needs of the customer were secondary to the company. I found several of the staff to be uncaring and rude. What I found most disappointing was their patronizing attitude when they changed a time or date or if something went wrong. Under no circumstances would I use Good Greek locally of long distance. They give you a presentation about their corporate culture and service excellence, but the reality is far different. read more

I employed Good Greek Moving to help with a move to our new home in mid-February. The positives: Terie was most helpful in scheduling my move so it went smoothly and ensured all our needs were met before the big day. The movers were fantastic. They were all engaging and efficient in helping with my move. They showed as scheduled and their work ethic was fabulous. The concerns are my advice to inquire about before hiring: (1) I was not advised that when the movers wrapped my furniture in blankets for protection before loading onto the truck would result in additional charges for the tape they used to secure the blankets. I was told shortly before transporting to my new location that there would be a charge for three rolls of tape. The preliminary invoice read that tape rolls were $6 each; however on the final invoice for "Basic Materials"-- I was billed for $75. (2) Emails throughout the process were responded to quickly, except AFTER the move with two concerns. No response was received for either email. One issue was remedied when I found the item in question I mistakenly thought may have been left on the truck. Only when I notified Good Greek I found the items did I receive an immediate response. The other was an inquiry on the Welcome Home Kit advertised on their site and various ads that I would receive if I used their services--no response. I also inquired on their Facebook page about the kit which received a reply it would be sent. To date, it has still not been received.
