Unfortunately, the hotel feels very outdated, with old furniture throughout the room. The carpet looked dirty, and there was a persistent musty smell mixed with another unpleasant odor. After some time, we realized the smell was coming from the air conditioner. When the AC was turned off, the odor disappeared. Overall, the room was acceptable for a short stay, but the cleanliness and maintenance could definitely be improved, especially regarding the carpet and air conditioning system. read more

This location is good for an overnight stay. I really like that. It's close to the Camarillo outlets. You could basically walk there. The beds were comfortable and the sheets smelled and felt clean. The customer service was great. They're really helpful. I only had one problem was the shower. The showerhead was broken when we got there and it looked like it was gonna get fixed because there was a towel over the showerhead so it wouldn't leak. Maintenance should just fix the problem instead of putting a towel over the problem. Other than that it was a nice stay. read more

Just your basic overnight inn, not a destination hotel. Our rooms were clean. Stayed here before and after a Channel Islands NP trip. Just needed a place to rest. Good basic hotel, seems remodeled, has tubs, each unit has a heater/AC unit which may have an electronic or manual temperature unit. Small pool available. Coffee in the morning. 1st night the #214 room had a musty, but not horrible, smell and the 2nd time we arrive this was not an issue. #137 Staff seemed to know what to do and no issues. Did a late arrival the first night and went to night window with no issues. This is a basic hotel for sleep, minimal amenities (coffee AM, ice machine, pool). There is a TV and refrigerator, small blow dryer, iron and ironing board. Sheets, blankets and towels are very thin, and the pillows flatten very easy. I'd recommend bringing your own pillow, and maybe a blanket. read more

So I use to stay here often when we come into town to see relatives, one night when we checked in the dogs were still in the car. We dropped bags off and took the dogs to my in-laws house like we always do. I have never kept the dogs In the room ever!!!! We we made reservations again online and I used my full name they confirmed reservations and I even called from Simi Valley and confirmed all of that which they did. When I went into the lobby they told me the GM banned me from renting cause we had dogs in the room which was a complete lie. Needless to save the assistant manager didn't car to listen to my answer and kept saying they won't rent to me. You people are asshats again I never had a dog in the room nor did you even bother to provide proof. I will not spend another dime in your hotel and I will also encourage others to find a different place. Also fix your damn system if I was banned it should have picked up on my full name as well as the other name I used which is a shorter version. We got room 146 and found hair in both beds and dryed blood on the pillows. We moved into room 130 and we found once again dryed blood on the pillows, bed covers and the carpet had NOT been vacuumed. Stayed at this inn a few times in the past it was my go to since I have family that lives nearby, but I gotta say this time I was very disappointed. My bed was really hard. Seems I haven't changed that mattress in many years not to mention the pillows it was so bad that the next morning I woke up with a stiff neck. I'm not paying $150+ wear sandals because the carpet smells gross. But this was perfect. This is a no frills hotel. No breakfast, just coffee. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, and it was clean. And it was all under $100. The TV programming sucked but what can you do. Again, this was a perfect stay overall. Needed a place to spend the night after a wedding in Somi. This was about $80 cheaper than the bigger named brand hotels. Called to see if we could check in early and Alex was able to find a room for us. Check in process took around 10 min. If you have a large suitcase, keep in mind that it's all stairs to get to the 2nd floor. Parking is ample in the lot. There's an in-out across the street and a Trader Joe's across the freeway. Room was clean and pretty big. AC worked. Water turned warm fairly quickly. Didn't hear any noise during the night from other rooms or the outside. TV is low quality and grainy. They offer coffee at the lobby from 6am-10am. If you're looking to budget, this place is good. Again, it's very simple. But it's clean! read more

Gabriel at the front desk greeted us warmly and let us have a choice for whether we wanted first or second floor! Our room was clean and everything worked. There was a fridge and blow dryer, but no coffee maker or microwave. A microwave is available next to the office in a breezeway. It is a nice, short walk to the outlet mall. The property was secure and I felt safe. The ice machine worked, as well. Good value. Pre-paid for 2 rooms and 4 guests. 2 guest arrive and they check in. Then I am told that the other room was not paid for and that when the other guests arrive they will have to pay for themselves. Since I found out late in the night, there wasn't a manager available so nothing could be done even if I showed them my receipt. So since I don't want my guests to arrive and have no where to stay, I asked if they could just charge the card on file for the rooms again (then of course I'd dispute the earlier charges). To which they replied, "You would need to physically be here. " So I had to get up at 11 PM and drive from Oxnard to Camarillo to pay AGAIN! All this the night before my wedding. And honestly I don't want to hear the canned "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" customer service response. Because really you're not sorry and you didn't have to deal with anything. I have had trouble here in the past and I continue to give them another chance because my family likes to stay there. We reserved a "double deluxe Room" through a travel website for this hotel. The picture when we reserved the room showed 2 beds. When we got to the Goodnite Inn, they said that the reservation was for a "Deluxe Room, 1 Queen bed" not two beds. The manager went to the back room and came back with a reservation that did not have my name on it and the confirmation number did not match so I doubt that it really was my reservation. I called the travel site and they said that I needed to force the manager to honor the reservation I made, so they were no help. So to get the room I had already reserved and paid for I had to pay an additional $13 per day. The room was the most bare hotel room I have ever seen. It did not have a closet, only a hook on the bathroom door with a few hangers on it. The bathroom was a joke. It had a just a sink, no counter and no towel racks at all. I guess it was the handicap assessible room because it did have grab bars next to the toilet but no grab bars in the tub. We ended up putting our hand towel on the toilet grab bar but it kept falling off. If that was an assessable room, I don't think a person in a wheelchair could reach the towel on the floor. Don't bother reserving a room at this place because they will end up charging you an additional fee to get the room you thought you had already reserved. read more

Really outrageous service. I have a military relative currently fighting against a medical condition staying here. Before staying here. We let the hotel know about his medical condition and that there might be blood on the bed covers or pillow cases. They said it was ok and agreed for him to stay there. Now they want to deny him service because of that and kick him out. If that wasn't ok with them, they should have said it from the beginning. Simple hotel rooms, cleanliness was good. We booked here for a place to stay while I was visiting my husband for an event. He was at work and I had to grab a bag from my car, I tried to use my key to get back into the room and it didn't work, I tried a few times and just walked to the front desk and told them what happened. They stated they needed to see my I.D to get a new key, I told them all of my items were locked in the hotel room... they didn't see my name on the booking either so they had told me I just need to call my husband to come and bring his I.D, I mentioned he works about 30 minutes from the hotel and doesn't have his phone on him and won't be off until about 3 hours from then. Luckily I did not encounter any bugs. But it wasn't as clean as I would like , there was trash under the beds and on the sheets dust. But just grateful there was no bed bugs or any bugs. This hotel has some nerve. The staff takes no responsibility for any of their units. Customers should never have to do their own plumbing work, right? Never in my life have I seen hotel staff hand plungers in buckets to their customers directing them to do their own plumbing. Wait, it gets worse. After being bitten by bedbugs that decided to crawl out on the mattress, I took pictures and demanded that my room be changed to another location. The staff member never contacted his management, was rather nonchalant about the entire issue, and instead we had to go pack up to move upstairs. Good nite inn should be embarrassed. Kid that checked me in warned me the wifi was out & he didn't know if/when it would be back on - hotel wasn't doing anything about it apparently. This place was a cheap motel but adequate for an overnight stay. Everyone that stays here should know that they're not to expect anything fancy. One big plus was that there was an In-n-Out practically across the street! I got to the motel pretty late at night around 11pm. I parked in a handicap spot near the front desk to get checked in. I then drove around the place to find a regular spot to park my car. The only space left was next to a pretty sketchy panel van. There were people in the van transferring stuff to another car. I just got my stuff and headed to my room hoping for the best. Everything was fine the next morning. I guess the uneasy feeling comes with staying at a cheap motel. Also, there was a recent police report of a woman having her room broken into by a drunk and belligerent man, thinking it was his room. We always stay here when we come to the Ventura fair but this year we were disappointed the rooms were ok but they had no microwave or fridge no breakfast nothing. I didn't like that at all not having a fridge was the real bummer we had to leave a bunch of stuff in our cooler instead not cool. I feel like a fridge is a must and we paid the same amount that another hotel with those amenities but i looked on yelp and people had posted pics of bugs at a bunch of the surrounding hotels so last minute we changed back to the good nite inn. I mean it got the job done we had a nice place to stay but overpriced for not having anything but a room tv and running water.
