Room with a queen size bed
    Anson W.

Nestled in the middle of Old Town Camarillo, the Bella Capri Inn is a decent place to stay if you're looking for something walkable and fairly priced, and are willing to temper some expectations. All of Camarillo's hotels seem to be along the 101 freeway, meaning constant traffic noise. Bella Capri is on a less busy stretch of Ventura Blvd, away from the freeway, and the rooms face inwards around a small parking lot. So there's not much audible traffic noise. The rooms are small and clearances are tight, particularly in the bathroom. Our room had a comfy queen size bed, microwave, good sized mini fridge, TV, and a small round table. The free WiFi was on the slow side. Shower pressure was good but I had to frequently adjust the temperature to keep the water hot. Noise isolation was so-so. We didn't hear neighbors or plumbing through walls, but we did hear what sounded like a clothes washer on the other side. Every day we could hear the sound of people in the room above walking around. And in the very early hours of the morning (like 5am), I would get woken up by some thudding sounds outside; it sounded like someone throwing a heavy sack of something. So I stopped keeping the windows open overnight. Fortunately, the air conditioning unit worked well. There's supposed to be a small room with some fitness equipment, but we were told that it was closed while the staff figures out some ventilation issues since people complained that it gets too hot in there. And there's supposedly free breakfast, but that wasn't available to us because we booked through a travel portal. Overall, we had an okay stay here considering that the price was reasonable. Note that check-in ends at 10pm, so if you get here past that, you're out of luck. We forgot about the check-in time the first night and ended up having to stay with my parents an extra night. At least the price was still reasonable even after losing a night!

The refrigerator doesn't work. I have to throw away things i bought to eat in the refrigerator and report to the hotel staff. Shel said that it is maybe I use too much electricity and will report to the manager. That's it

Eww. Gross. There were ticks or some sort of bug I checked in. Walked up to my room. Noticed these bugs that look like ticks. 4 of them in the bathroom Walk downstairs 10 minutes later and say I'm leaving this is gross. Was told I have to pay for a full day Excuse me? I didn't even use the room. The lady was very combative and said she called her manager and was told nothing can be done Literally 10 minutes....... Just stay away

It's the first time I feel that my money spent on hotel is worth it. This small cozy inn is really well taken care of. I think they deserve 5 stars. Their photos on Booking.com didn't look that new but the room exceeded my expectations. They have everything we needed in such a small place: microwave, refrigerator, toiletries, table, cloth hanger. Yes, the room IS small but I think they use the space well. The room feels secure. The door lock is good. Plenty of parking spaces for free. They even have utensils and water for free in the lobby which is SO RARE in America! Noise proof was not the best. We hear loud motorcycle squad outside.

The room room was pleasantly decorated, very clean, recently remodeled, and sufficient in size. I had no issues with water temperature, room size, or the property. The staff were great and very helpful. The room got cold at night, but the room heater worked well so it heated up quickly when I turned it on. I would stay here again. The onsite cafe looks great, but I didn't have time to check it out. There is a soda machine on the second floor, but it only accepts coins so this can be problematic as many people don't really walk around with $1.50 in change. I did like that the location is safe and has a lot of nearby attractions that you could walk to. Keep in mind there is only 12 parking spaces, so you will likely need to park street side.

Thanks to Marc, Daniel, Cass & Crew for making my 50th memorable! From the Complimentary Margarita prior to check in and the room on the Blvd with a view, I felt more than taken care of, I felt like Royalty! U don't know what this means to me.

    Breakfast :)

Was in town for law school residency with a colleague. Loved how affordable this place was so decided to make a reservation. The room itself has all the basic necessities, Dee was super welcoming on the first day, & the breakfast that is served with hotel voucher is amazing! My cons: the wifi was very slow to get any homework done & the bathroom was small (workable though if you're just here to sleep) Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience our last night on 6/22, at approximately 11:30pm-midnight there was a group of 2-3 men who were wandering outside & being extremely loud. They seemed to be locked outside their room since their key card wasn't working. They came to our door & tried opening our door. Was super annoying since they were talking loud right outside our room for around 20 mins. It was very difficult to go back to sleep as they were continuously being loud. I called front desk after hours and explained the situation; she said "I'm aware, I'm on my way" she apologized till after I told her how hard it was to sleep. 15 minutes later I was very annoyed and scared as they kept pacing back and forth and being very loud. I called again & even texted and had no answer or reply. The employee let them in till about 20 min after I called . This was very unpleasant as we woke up scared, couldn't go back to sleep, & made us realize if the situation was even more urgent how long it would take help desk to show up. As 2 women our priority is safety and last night really made me question my safety. I understand the situation was not the hotel's fault in entirety but the amount of time it took them to resolve & come was concerning and it was discouraging that I didn't get a call/text back. Overall, I was excited to tell my colleagues about this cute and affordable place to stay at a bit close to campus & in middle of downtown. Let's not even talk about how great breakfast was & despite the unpleasant experience I would consider staying here in future again.

I booked a two-bedroom unit through the Marriott website, with each bedroom having its own vanity and full bath. The apartment had a living room and a fully equipped kitchen, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. A few days before our stay, I called with some questions and was glad to speak directly with the onsite staff instead of a call center. The front desk team was friendly and helpful both over the phone and in person. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy. Despite what must be a high guest turnover, the apartment was clean and well maintained. The carpets were free of stains. Despite a few minor scuffs, the furniture was clean and in good shape. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and odor-free. The hotel also serves a simple breakfast each morning, with hot options like waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and oatmeal, plus cold items like yogurt, cereal, fruit, and breads, along with coffee, tea, and juices.

Check in was quick and easy. The front desk receptionist, who I assume was fairly new, was really nice! I requested a late check out and she gave us an extra hour which was super helpful after a long day before our departure. Later that night, the water machine had to be refilled and she offered us 2 free water bottles instead of having us wait. Really nice! The jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and VERY spacious... the pillows were also comfortable! One thing I would recommend they do is, ensure that the alarm clocks are reset/turned off before a new guest checks in. The alarm did wake us up at around 7 am, we never set it! The housekeepers and the staff were also very nice :) The breakfast was a hit as well! They had plenty of options AND a cool pancake machine! Lastly, I want to shout them out for having a non dairy milk option. I have never seen that at any other hotel, so I'm also upset given I'm allergic to milk. That was great! Thank you, would recommend

The room did not have an odd or strong chemical smell. The room came with a TV, coffee maker, safe, mini fridge and microwave; all in working conditions. Water pressure was great. The only complaint was in another room that we got moved to - because we decided to extend last minute, some of the usb outlets were not working. Other than that, the room fit all our needs for our trip. The amenities include a pool, hot tub, breakfast, wifi, gym and a guest laundry. They do sell some OTC medications, snacks and microwaveable foods next to the front desk and they call it "the market". Very convenient. SERVICE: The service is what led me to give a 5 star. The room itself would have been a 3-4 star but the service was great. This branch had amazing staff who greeted you with a smile from the lobby, breakfast bar or just simply in the hallways. We felt so welcomed which made the experience even better. The front desk agents were knowledgeable and super accommodating to our questions or requests. The staff that helps prep the breakfast bar were so attentive and was even willing to wait after we're done with our plates. Quick service with refills and clean up. Just top notch service. Overall, the service at this place set a standard for other similar hotels or other Holiday Inn hotels. Plenty of parking in a well lit lot. The amenities and the room were reasonable for the price. I would definitely stay at this branch again whenever I'm in the area visiting family.

I really wanted to love this place because our stay started off so strong. The hotel is beautiful,…read moreour room was lovely, and the staff we initially encountered were wonderful. Unfortunately, that level of service did not continue throughout our stay. While I'll be leaving a separate review for Ox & Ocean, our dining experience there was disappointing and involved long waits, food quality issues, and multiple billing errors that took significant time to resolve. Unfortunately, the billing issues did not stop there. Upon reviewing our folio, we discovered valet parking charges despite self-parking for the entirety of our stay. When I called to question the charge, I was told a "gentleman" had provided my room number. This was a girls' trip--there was no gentleman in our group. Even more frustrating was being told it was "only a $5 difference." Incorrect charges are incorrect charges, regardless of the amount. On checkout day, we were awakened at 7:30 AM by someone knocking repeatedly on our door despite having a Do Not Disturb sign clearly displayed. When I answered, I was asked whether we had requested baggage assistance. We had not. The pool area also seemed understaffed. The chair numbering system intended to help staff locate guests appeared ineffective, and there were extended periods where no pool towels were available. I watched several guests ask staff where towels could be found, only to discover the stations were empty. Staff would apologize but no solution was offered. I eventually had to pull towels from unused reserved cabanas because none were available elsewhere. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues were related to the property itself. The hotel is beautiful, the room was great, and the spa was phenomenal. Our massages were incredible, and every member of the spa team was kind, professional, and welcoming. Unfortunately, repeated service failures, billing mistakes, and poor follow-through overshadowed what could have been a great stay. A luxury hotel should not require guests to spend hours of their vacation correcting billing errors, tracking down servers, and chasing management for answers.
