    Good Thyme Hash

Found this place on accident this morning and we were pleasantly surprised with the how amazing the food was. Full of flavor! We got the donut holes, a breakfast burrito and a new breakfast bowl menu item called good thyme hash (I added some cheese). Best breakfast I've had in a long time, we will be back!

Good Thyme is a hidden gem in Lakeland. Fast casual style service. Very convenient ordering ahead from toasttab app. The food is always delicious and is priced fairly. Love the chicken biscuit and if you like spice, try it Nashville hot style. The breakfast burrito is one of the best I've ever had! Try it with the house made hot sauce!

The best kept secret in Lakeland. It's quaint and has delicious, healthy take out options! Nestled right behind Concord coffee is a hip hole in the wall cafe with outdoor shaded seating. Dietary restrictions- say no more- GLUTEN FREE, vegan and vegetarian options available! Daily specials available - don't forget to ask about those- I got the breakfast tacos! Breakfast tacos- egg, I subbed chorizo for bacon, potatoes, salsa, cilantro On corn tortillas that didn't call apart with hot sauce on the side ! Delish! FYI 3 tacos will cost ya about $10 with tax- plenty of food for 1! Could have even shared a taco with my toddler if she was with me :) Excellent customer service!

When I found out about Good Thyme's soft opening last week I knew I needed to get there ASAP! I came for lunch and was not surprised they were busy! It's a take out / picnic or packed lunch type of flow that makes them different than other establishments in Lakeland. When you walk up you order at a counter and pick up your meals around the corner at the pick up window. There is limited bar style seating outside under umbrellas only. The lunch menu had many options and many of them were easily customizable to be made cruelty free and plant based. I tried two dishes: their Jambalaya with seitan was delicious, the dish had a slight heat to it and the rice was the perfect texture you would expect. I'm not sure if they make their own seitan but it was very good, one of the best I've had! The stir fry with seitan was full of veggies and had great flavor, I really liked that it was a little blackened, it added more depth to the dish. In my opinion the stir fry was a little too salty but I would eat it over and over again! I can't wait to go back and try their vegan biscuits and gravy! But I'll have to make it there by 11am to grab them. They don't have menu times listed yet, but only serve breakfast 7a - 10a, 10a -11a is a transition period to lunch but biscuits and gravy are still available. I heard they are planning to open more hours and possibly weekend but right now it's only 7a - 3p M-F. Area of improvement: Though all of the meals come in recyclable containers I didn't see any recycling bins around the outside bar seating area. The utensils didn't look to be made of a recyclable material which could be why. I would love to see them switch to completely low waste/ compostable packaging and utensils in the future and have the proper bins on site. I can see Good Thyme becoming a neighborhood favorite quickly! And I will be back!

Their fried chicken sandwich is better than Chick-fil-a's and better than Popeye's! Served on a brioche bun, with honey mustard and sweet-heat pickles. The pickles are homemade and the mustard is just tangy enough. So so delicious. They have packets of Red's hot sauce if you want it hotter like I did. Served with a side--about 4 or 5 to choose from. I got the Street Corn and that was also tasty! I'm not sure why the restaurant is labeled as vegan. They do have some vegan options but also serve meat. I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast menu, because I've heard great things about it. I just wish they were opened later and on the weekends. I know that's a tricky locations since there have been a few restaurants there in the past. I hope they get more business so they can stay opened for a long time to come! Super friendly and accommodating staff. Food came out in less than 10 minutes.

I was that impressed for how much money I spent on my tacos I have had much better for a lot cheaper

If you can find a way to get here though you absolutely should. I've been here a couple times and had people bring me things from here and I'm always very happy. My favorite thing I ever had here was a chocolate peanut butter pie, which was mind blowingly good. However, everything I've had from here has been pretty spectacular. I highly recommend the cookies here. I really love cookies, but their brown butter cookie is incredible. The pastries are really good too. I really enjoy the glazed croissant and I recently had a lemon twist that was very good. Finally, the sandwiches that I've had from here are both really good as well. I've only had the breakfast sandwiches, but I enjoyed the hot honey sausage biscuit and the bacon breakfast sandwich. 5 stars.

The strawberry icing actually tasted like strawberries in the most amazing way possible. My only real criticism : The line system was a bit confusing and it seemed like online orders were priority over people that were actually there. At least that's how it appeared. Other than that WE WILL BE BACK!

Believed to be a "Scratch Kitchen", this amazing find has a menu that I find myself excited about returning to try. We ordered a drink and an order of the Frescos Egg Rolls. The drink was spot on and the Egg Rolls amazing. We opted not to order a main course due to eating just a couple hours prior but I knew right then and there that I'd be back to try other selections from the menu. Pricing seems to be below average with "happy hour" pricing at specified times daily. Highly Recommended!

Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was marred by slices of tomato that were so thick that the knives on the table were incapable of cutting them. This same issue carried over to the green tomato blt, which was almost impossible to eat bc of bread that was also too thick. The bacon was so overcooked as to be dry sticks that shattered into tiny bits when you tried to eat the sandwich. The fries were allegedly hand cut, but looked & tasted like (cold) seasoned frozen steak fries. The FSKB chicken salad croissant was just a soggy mess. And the eggs Benedict featured "Canadian Bacon", which is a US marketing term for round slices of bacon, not Back Bacon or Peameal Bacon that is actually served in Canada. Overpriced & not worth a second try.

The vibe is awesome with brick walls, tasteful decor, and pleasant music, and just what I look for in a local coffee shop. Prices are fairly reasonable with many drink and food options. Although there was a bit of line when I visited, it moved quickly and staff was efficient in getting ordered items out to guests. I went with a white mocha frappe (5/5), asking for it to be made less sweet. It's not something I ordinarily see on the menu at local coffee shops, so was delighted at how good it was, with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It's shame that there's nothing like it at coffee shops close to where I live, as it's something that'd be in my regular rotation of caffeinated drinks I'd order. As my friends and I enjoyed our experience here, I'd definitely return to Black & Brew, and would recommend them to others looking for a quality coffee shop in Lakeland.

The standout for me was the Holiday Ham breakfast sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to its name. Built on a flaky buttermilk biscuit, it layers a light, fluffy egg soufflé with thinly sliced ham, praline bacon that adds just the right touch of sweetness, and a cranberry orange jam that ties everything together with a bright, unexpected pop. Every bite tasted thoughtful and seasonal without being overcomplicated--comfort food elevated. I paired it with Jennie's Dolce seasonal espresso drink, and it was so good I immediately wanted another. Even more impressive? The second one tasted just as perfect as the first--a small detail that says a lot about their consistency and care behind the bar. The coffee shop ambience immediately stands out, with a relaxed yet polished vibe that makes it just as ideal for a casual morning as it is for catching up on work or meeting friends. Service was warm and efficient, and you can tell this place has become a staple in the downtown community. If you appreciate creative twists on classic breakfast favorites and expertly crafted coffee drinks, Black & Brew is well worth the stop. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The Sweet Caroline is good. The bread was fresh. The ratio of meat to bread was good and the service is great. We also had a "child's cheeseburger" and fries. The child size is deceiving because it's full-size and plenty for an adult. I don't know how thick the patty would be for an adult hamburger but the patty was good on the child size burger. The bun was so good; it was buttered and grilled. Perfectly toasted! The store portion has plenty of authentic Italian products you can buy and take home. You can also buy some pre-made Italian dishes to take home and bake. Sad I didn't try this place earlier in my life but I'll be back! While the counter person was very helpful, the food left much to be desired. First, the Italian sub is only available cold and lacked taste .. the cheese had zero flavor, there was no seasoning or herbs to speak of and the bread dry and bland as well. SUBWAY subs are much more tasty. The garden salad's Italian dressing consisted of too much vinegar, zero olive oil and absent any spices or herbs. Finally, the chocolate eclair was too rigid and the custard bland. Very sad because we had high hopes.

So many options. A long buffet of salad. A long buffet of hot foods and plenty of side dishes. Desserts Yum. I started off with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole, macaroni and cheese, chicken and dumpling soup and a soft sweet roll. And that was just plate number one. I'm not gonna go over every single thing I ate, but let's just say I truly think that this place is a must go to for dinner, lunch or breakfast. We enjoyed our dinner so much tonight that we are actually going back again tomorrow to do this again. The menu rotates and changes daily so there's plenty of food options and it is all you can eat. So my advice is simple. Go to this restaurant and go hungry and be ready to meet some really nice people and have a really good time.
