This place is meh. Its a little on the pricey side for the quality that they're putting out. They're fries were tasteless and obviously frozen. At least put some salt on them! I ordered their gyro and it was ok. They do pack it with meat but it was nothing out of this world. $10 for a meal is not worth it. I am personally not a huge fan of this place. I've tried a few times to give them a chance, but I can't keep coming back here. The big issue is they nickel and dime you to death. If you're already charging me 8-10 dollars for a daily special, yes it absolutely come with French fries. That is just cheap. All your other specials have fries or rice included. Yet for some reason the one special does not. Now my sandwich... decent flavor but a wrap isn't supposed to fall apart as soon as you pick it up. It should be tightly packed and stay together. If not you're going to have a mess all over your plate like I did. There are a lot of places In the area, I would suggest giving one of them a try and seeing for yourself. As for me, I'm going to throw the towel in here and spend my money elsewhere. read more

This place has been on my local gyros hit list for awhile, and I finally made it in here. I had their gyros pita sandwich for $6.50 and wife had their 1/3 pound burger for $4.55. The gyros sandwich was generous, fresh, and good. The burger was decent (hot and patty was juicy), but really nothing special for the price range (she doesn't like gyros meat so didn't want to try this standard item). I would have no hesitation to return here for a gyros, and that's all I usually want to have at these Greek style places. The place has quite a lot of tables, is kept clean, and has CNN on their two TV's, so it's perfect for a quick gyros lunch stop as far as I'm concerned. read more

What places Goodi's high on our list is their surprisingly extensive menu of consistently good food served in adequate (though not huge) portions at fair prices. We've progressed beyond their sandwich items to discover satisfying dinner "platers" [sic] including chicken kebobs, grilled tilapia, and Athenian skirt steak. If you choose to eat in, dinner items come on china with real silverware. The contemporary dining room is clean and bright, and their patio is equally inviting. This place is the pits. I ordered a skirt steak sandwich. I asked for it to be medium and it was well done. It was small. They use sesame seed buns that were nasty. The rest of our party weren't too thrilled with their food either. My suggestion, go about two miles further south on Milwaukee to Boobies. They have the best steak sandwich in the city. This place has been here for a long time and the reason is it's good. When I'm in the area I usually end up at The Works. Honestly we came here because there is a changing table in the bathrooms and The Works doesn't have them. There was baby with us and well, you get the message. No regrets though as their gyro is one of the best around and the half chicken dinner is far better than the other joint. I should of checked yelp before stopping. Unfortunately, I knew this place has been around for a long time so I figured it should be ok. I was wrong. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with fries and a small drink. $13. I'd be fine but it wasn't even close. It was thick cut flank steak (maybe) that was aching for some salt, pepper and other seasonings. It was tough and flavorless. They cooked it so long as to get the onions sweated down a bit but it was bad. It came out with Mozzarella cheese melted on top and either Paprika or seasoned salt on top. It was smoking hot and so where the fries but that didn't make up for no taste. It was a total waste and I tossed it. read more

All the reviews are pretty much spot on. Decent food, too pricey and average service. What saddens me is that I have been coming here for almost 20 years and is place has the potential to be a 5 star joint. It is in a great location, has great history but it just seems like the owners or managers stopped caring. This year I ordered a part of my holiday party meal, around 16 gyros sandwiches and requested the tahini sauce on the side. When we went to pick up the order, it wasn't ready, even after we confirmed the time just the same morning. And then of course in the hurry, they forgot the sauce. What is gyros without the sauce? Just meat. We called and they said come back and pick it up. No offer of apology or to come drop off the sauce they forgot. I followed up the next day and went in personally to see a manager and did in fact speak with him. All he said was, "mistakes happen...what can I do" I did not want a refund, just an apology, but I didn't receive that, just like my sauce :( read more

This place is great. Consistent food, fast delivery, and remarkable customer service. Rarely can you comment on customer service for a delivery place, but from the phone call to the delivery driver, they are kind, appreciative, and wonderful. To add to it, on our most recent order they even included a handwritten note thanking us for supporting their business. We ordered gyros for delivery. The food arrived quickly and hot, which seems to be occurring less often elsewhere as of late. Anyway its great food, and every time we've ordered its been consistent. Pita is good, meat is great, even reheated the next day, fries are awesome as well. We've tried a couple different gyro places in the Glenview area. From now on we're sticking with Goodi's. I'm in total shock of the reaction I got from the actual owners ! I ordered $60 worth of food my som has allergies to sesame seeds so on his steak sandwich I ask for French bread and not garlic. Anyway the sandwich came with garlic bread and sesame seeds. When I ask for a new sandwich they insulated me and refused to replace it even when I told them I would even pay for another one. They then lied that the driver got hurt while delivering our food. I have been ordering from here for 10 years. I can't believe how they Disrespected us.. Not our Fault the driver got hurt. Average flavors, typical of my college days, craving for a midnight bite. At that Itime I am usually drunk and everything tasted awesome. I like this place as a sober adult because of the portion size - bang for the buck. Their tazzekki sause is thick with a very mild flavor. They have amazing kabobs, great gyros , awesome salads good pita bread good rice everything is great. The staff is always very kind and super welcoming. I haven't been here in over 10 years because Goodies changed owners and their prices skyrocketed. Anyways, I stopped by yesterday around 9pm and ordered a chocolate milkshake. I was the only one in the restaurant so I expected to wait a couple minutes. For some strange reason, after my order was taken the man who was working decided to take the cash register to the back, then he came out and talked to the cooks, he finally starts to make my shake but then his Uber eats machine signaled so he went to it and rung the order. I was in this restaurant for 15 freaking minutes for a milkshake. I couldn't believe it. That was the worst customer service, I will never come back even though the shake was good. read more

I live in MN so good gyros are hard to come by ... this hit the spot!! I wish I didn't have to stop eating because I was so full. Super flavorful meat. The pita was warm and soft ... my guess is they make them in house or at least get them from somewhere that makes real deal pitas. A lot of places have prepackaged pitas that aren't much different than what you get from the grocery store. Not the case here. Highly recommend! read more

I was very disappointed this afternoon at the restaurant. I ordered a hot dog. My bun was very hard and cold. They were not busy but the men putting the order together know better than to serve that sandwich that way. I came to order food for the family, but left with not ordering anything else. I told the employee inside who offered me another hot dog but i had already ate mine and did not want another nor a refund. The outside eating area is very nice,but the garbage was overflowing.
