This is Texas thrift store's new location since they moved from their 51st St. location. It is also larger and much more well merchandised than the previous location. The store is about 80% clothing and 20% everything else. All the shoes sit above the hanging clothes. As a matter fact, there's more shoes here than I've ever seen in any other thrift store. Tons of knickknacks and bagged up items on the wall as well. Definitely a better set up than the old store with plenty of parking and conveniently located near the Salvation Army store across 183. However, at this point, they have no dressing rooms to try the clothes on, but they do have some new rolling green baskets for you to use. They also have 10 brand new self check out stands. This place is definitely worth the effort to find. Plenty of pictures to get you through the door.

It's insane for a thrift store to not have fitting rooms. It's evil for a thrift store to not have fitting rooms and not allow returns.

Great selection, but the place is trashed and its full of screaming kids, the prices are ridiculous for a thrift store

I discovered Austin's Furniture Depot after my visit to Upscale Cheapskate. This local furniture…read morestore has a Keep Austin Weird vibe. In fact, all their Austin signs and Keep Austin Weird signs were a draw to venture into the store. Austin's Furniture depot is located on Burnet Road and offers a unique mix of new furniture, statement pieces, and items from local artists. This is not your typical furniture store. Surprisingly, the Austin signs are quite affordable. I asked Shawn one of the store managers, what do folks do with all these signs. He responded by saying the put them in their homes and businesses. One of the eye-catching items in the addition to the signage, are the abstract and unusual artwork covered in shiny glass. I love abstract anything, therefore, I was very intrigued. They also had some individuals featured in the pictures with bold and colorful features. Shawn was friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He asked what I was looking for and took time to point out some potential selections. It was an overall very engaging and pleasant visit. Will definitely drop in again...

They told us that if we had any questions about any of the furniture to reach out to them. We walked around and sat on many different couches and tried out some stools. We explored the store together. We didn't buy anything from here but we saw some unique options.
