Impressed is such an understatement for my experience with this Goodyear location. Let me sum up a horrific afternoon I experienced recently: - Something on the freeway punctured my tire - I couldn't safely get off the freeway, so HPD picked me up to take me to a nearby shopping center - Talked to GEICO for an hour trying to set up a tow truck to install the spare tire - 3 hours later, the tow truck arrives and asks me to walk over to a nearby park (in the rain) so he wouldn't be in the way - While I was waiting for the tow truck, I found out all of our local Sam's Club locations didn't carry my tire and I would need to wait about 10 days for it to come in. I tried Costco Tire Center, but after MANY attempts, no one answered the phone. - Last resort was to call a local Goodyear location This is why I ended up here. On the first attempt, Cody (store manager) answered the call. He informed me that my particular tire has been discontinued and offered to find a similar tire that they could install. I gave him the information for the tires I currently have and he quickly found something comparable. I explained to him that it would be a while before the tow truck came, but he said not to worry. He set me up with an appointment and told me to just make my way there whenever I was ready. I wasn't able to get to the store until about 10 minutes before closing. Cody said it wasn't a problem and that they would stay open until they got my tire fixed. They even offered to do a checkup for my car (free of charge) to make sure none of the other tires were affected and that my car was okay. While waiting, I gained a lot of information about how their servicing is much cheaper than what I normally pay, that if I buy tires from them that they will replace it for free with the same or similar tire, that I can come in at any time to get a checkup for my car and that if I get their Goodyear credit card, then there would be even more discounts applied. No annual fee, too! I was sold to become their new lifetime customer. In Pearl City, they are right between Burger King and Popeyes. Super convenient location for me and the customer service is excellent. Make sure to ask for the store manager (Cody) because he will take excellent care of you and your vehicle. read more

Had an appointment for an oil change at 1pm Saturday. Got there at 12:45 to check in. Waited 2 hours and still haven't started my oil change. Asked manager why haven't been started yet and his response was I had several people call out today. My answer to him was if people don't show up for work then they should be fired and you should get people that want a job. His attitude was awful. Also the girl that checked me in had a bad attitude and kind of rude. I don't recommend this location because they really don't give a shit. I will not go back to this location in the future. They don't respect scheduled service times! If you value your time, don't even consider this place. I came here for a scheduled safety check inspection and left completely disappointed. Abbie, one of the service advisors, wasn't helpful in any way; she was on her cellphone the entire time I was waiting. When I went to follow up, she didn't even know why I was there or which car was mine, even though I was literally right in front of her in the same small room. Goodyear came through with a same-day cancellation slot and squeezed me in. They estimated 1-1.5 hours but finished in less than 45 minutes! This business is a joke. No integrity, no care for people's time. I made a safety inspection appointment for today 2 weeks ago over the phone. When I got there, this is what the woman at the front desk said to me. "Safety inspection? Well our inspector is on vacation now so no safety checks available till next month. Did you make the appointment online?" Stunned, I said "No I did talk to someone on the phone to make this appointment and it was 2 weeks ago. No one called me to let me know?!" This woman, looking at her computer monitor then told me "well I don't see it. Do you want to call Waipahu location?" And that was it. No apologies or apologetic gestures whatsoever. I'm positive she would've tried to give me a different BS story if I had said that I had booked online at first. I KNOW the woman knew what to say to me already because she never even tried to look for my appointment that could've been booked on a wrong day. No "oh, let me see and check" protocol. Unexpected things can happen, like the guy who was supposed to do the inspection today didn't show up at work or whatever, but whatever it was, they could've called me and apologized, and could've tried to schedule me for another day. But they did not and instead, just waited for me to come in, insulted me with the BS and waisted my precious day off. I thought I had the WORST experience at Goodyear Salt Lake location last year but I guess this PC location is no different. read more

Don't get your safety check here. Was told to make an appointment to get it done. Made it for 3pm the following day. We got there at 2:45pm. The staff was nice and quoted us a 30 minute wait. Ok fine, we waited in the waiting room FOR AN HOIUR. Then the woman said we needed to change our wiper blades to get our safety check. They so suggested to change our battery. No thank you. Ok fine. Now we are still here waiting now for them to change our wiper blades. It is now going on 80 total minutes. The part that is strange is that there are at least 4-5 workers standing in the bay and I am sure it doesn't take 20 plus minutes to change our blades. Who knows how much longer this will take. Well guess what it took 1.5 hours. Never coming back here again. read more

We got a screw in the wall of our tire on New Years Eve and were short on time before everything closed for the day. We pulled up to the shop and the gentleman came and evaluated it and rolled it in for us. We were expecting them to say they wouldn't be able to get it taken care of until after the holiday but they got us taken care of same day with only 2 hours before they closed! Had our tire back to us in less than an hour and placed it back on our vehicle! I ordered Goodyear Kelly tires online and set an appointment at my Goodyear shop here in Pearl city when I arrive a couple weeks later for my appointment they told me the tires weren't available but other tires which cost twice as much they could get I just had to pay the difference. They also said it would take another two weeks. Already paid in full for Kelly tires which are owned by Goodyear now I'm going into surgery and my wife's car has a slowly leaking flat and I can't do anything about it. Honesty, integrity and customer service are the tenets of any reputable business. Goodyear has a longstanding presence in the tire and automotive repair industry. Though I'd never been there, I took for granted that it was a very reputable business. Little did I know that my cup half full opinion was about to be shattered. I was looking for tires for my 2009 Honda Fit when a friend recommended that I try Goodyear, so I gave him a call. I was pleasantly surprised that they had the tires I was looking for in stock. I was agreed by a friendly young lady who made my appointment for the same day when I arrive at the location, the young lady cheerfully took my keys and told me that they would call me back shortly after my tires had been installed. The shop was very close to where I live so I walk home. A short time later, I received a call informing me that two of my lug nuts appeared to have been cross-threaded and asking for permission to remove them. It was a reasonable request so I consented. This is where the story goes, awry. They told me that if the Lugnuts broke off that it would cost $1071 to replace them. I was shocked to say the least my father was a mechanic and ran his own service station so I was very familiar with the issue. They told me that the only way to repair it was to replace the hub at a cost of $471 for the parts and over $500 labor to repair it. So what was an $800 expense for tires turned into just under $2000. The actual cost of the hub was $134 at the nearest auto parts store. The service tech told me the danger of not allowing them to do this work and how much more I would pay if I didn't go ahead and let them do it. Subsequently, I told them to just install three of the tires and put the fourth in the hatch and I would take care of it myself. Next, they told me that they had done an alignment inspection and that my car was in dire need of a wheel alignment. I informed them that I had a lifetime alignment warranty with Firestone and that was not necessary. Another 5 1/2 hours when I went to pick it up, they were charging me for the installation of all four tires instead of three and after a bit of going back-and-forth, they said that if I paid the full amount that they would mount the fourth tire at no cost. I took my car to a reputable repair shop, and they were surprised that they were trying such a thing on a man. The owner said it was a shame how many tire companies make a habit of upsellIng customers and especially women. He said that he couldn't guarantee it, but it seemed as though all the lugs have been overtightened replaced all four for less than $200. When I called Goodyear to schedule putting on my fourth tire, they would not return my message so I had to go to the location. After another 2 1/2 hours, they finally got the tire on and then informed me that that TPMS light wouldn't go off and that I probably needed to buy new sensors. At that point, I told ell them how disappointed I was, that I was going to give them an honest review and took my car only to find out that the sensors were fine. The service manager avoided speaking with me directly during this ordeal and conveyed messages through the apologetic receptionist. In a word, reprehensible! Consumers, please BEWARE of Goodyear on Kamehameha in Pearl City. It is NOT a reputable business. I would rate my experience a -5 but one is the lowest rating I can give. read more

Heading off to work this morning I started the car and notice my tire pressure light pop on, figured it was nothing, just a reminder to top off the tires. Boy was I wrong! I pulled out and heard the grinding of the rim as I drove down the driveway. Needless to say, I called into work and started Googling and waiting to call shops to see if they had anything in stock to fit our LOVELY yet annoying car. Just about everywhere was out of the size we needed or weren't picking up. I called Goodyear and the phone was immediately answered and I was cheerfully greeted. I explained I need a tire replacement (I know terrible for the axel), gave her the make and model, and she was able to tell me they had it in stock. I asked if by chance they could take us later in the day and she was able to book me for a same-day appointment. She was also able to give me a quote over the phone and we were ready to go! Fast forward to the appointment. The waiting area is super clean and check-in was simple. Aside from a slight issue, mostly to our ignorance about the car, we were in and out in under an hour. I'm sure there is more seating during non-COVID times, there is more seating, so be prepared for 4 chairs but there is a tv to watch. The crew here is super friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back to be good car owners and replace the other 3. The road hazard warranty is a great add-on because, let's face it, if you don't have one in Hawaii, you are going to be paying out of pocket for every monster pothole you meet! read more

After being laid up in bed fir two weeks after injuring my back I was ready to get some things done, only to find a tire on my car completely flat. I called Goodyear and spoke to April, who was extremely courteous & helpful. She let me know that she could send out a technician to put on my spare/hard tire free of charge, and if the tire could be fixed that service would be free as well. I was pretty floored. When the technician, Ethan, arrived he was friendly, very quick & efficient, and let me know how to proceed. He answered all of my questions and directed me as to how to get to the Goodyear station. When I arrived, April addressed me by name and let me know what to expect. I am "very" impressed by the friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism by every facet of Goodyear Service Center here in Pearl City, HI. Recently had oil change done at this location with a $20 off coupon. It started out good when I was able to immediately make an appointment the same day. I thought the it was a great value and I've had my other car serviced there before thinking this is a shop where I could take my cars with confidence. I figured it would take a few hours but by the time I was able to pick up, it was closing time at 7pm. I dropped off car at 1:30pm. No phone call to let me know the car was done. I then went to pay where my estimate was $82.67 and now it jumped to almost $110 saying that its because it needs european synthetic oil. I wished they told me about this when I checked in since they knew my car was MB. Anyway the nice lady at the counter was able to give me a discount where she was able to bring my cost back down below $90. I really appreciated what she did and I think she is great. I paid the bill and got home to find drivers seat floor mat is stained with workers shoes, the interior door handle has grease and spilled oil on the exterior front fender. I mean, what happened to the service and caring for customers vehicle?? I'm pretty sure they didn't put any covering on the floor or the seat. So now I had to clean their mess they left behind from a service I paid for. I don't think I will return again. read more

Keep on saying they are looking for the part which they said is hard to find but we saw it on eBay. Yet I needed to change my gear oil in my manual transmission an differential.. An that kind oil is stink&messy.. I was only going to change my transmission gear oil, Yet the store manager April talked me into doing the differential gear oil as well. Made an appointment for 8:30am on 11/14/2024 for replace 4 tires alignment and safety check. Car never got on the rack till 9:15am as I was outside watching which mechanic will be working on the find out he don't know what he's doing mechanic name Camron ho as stated on my receipt. An other mechanic mounted 3 tires fast and easy so Camron just had to dismount and mount 1 tires which he failed. Now came for alignment he couldn't figured out which bolts to loosen to adjust and have to ask for help. Going to Island Brake and Alignment to double check if alignment is at specs if it's off you will be seeing be back for my refund on the alignment I paid. Why do you have mechanics there and work on customer cars when they don't know what they are doing. Only reason I gone to Goodyear Pearl city cause was close to home and had my tires what I wanted in stock. I would have ordered it thru Sam's club but have to wait for my rear tires to come in and knowing I only have one free day out of the week it will be late for me to have my safety check done. read more
