This was my first time visiting Goody's Cafe in person, though not my first time enjoying their food--and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality is solid and satisfying. I ordered the sausage omelette, and it was packed with filling--exactly how an omelette should be. It came with perfectly crispy hashbrowns, which instantly won me over. I love when a restaurant offers hashbrowns instead of breakfast potatoes, and Goody's does them right. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but honestly, it adds to the charm and feels very fitting for a classic neighborhood café. Love this place. I have been to goodys as it has been an OG spot in all the desert cities. The vibe is definitely a little off at the Palm Springs location but it's a good place to get an easy breakfast and bounce out. I like they have some many options for breakfast. I like Goody's. The food is good, not great. It has a nice feel to it that reminds me of diners I grew up going to. However, my one issue is they keep raising prices. I have went once a month for at least a year and usually order the same thing. At first prices went up due to the egg shortage. Now they just go up every month due to inflation I guess. A chicken fried steak breakfast with a regular drink was 20.25 last month. I ordered it today and it is 22.44. Makes no sense to me. read more

I went to the restaurant only wanting their fries with a side of ranch. I TOLD the cashier "can I please have an order of fries with ranch", and the lady said okay, put it in the register, and REPEATED exactly what I asked for (both the ranch & fries) and charged me for both. Since it was such a simple order, I didn't ask for my receipt. When I received my order, there was no ranch and I politely asked for some. Another lady told me I had to pay for it, which I responded that I already had. They asked the cashier who responded very rudely saying "No she only asked for fries" and forced me to pay AGAIN for what I thought I had already paid for. Do not come here if you have food allergies they are barely able to accommodate anything, even using butter instead of soy oil to cook your food. They did actually use butter to cook / burn my omelette. Honestly this was the ugliest omelette i have ever seen in my life, and it tasted as bad as it looked. Who cooks avocado?? They refused to cook hash browns in butter and still changed me full price for the ugliest omelette in the world. I didn't even get toast. They looked really annoyed too, like please, i am the one who lives with this ALL THE TIME i PROMISE it is more annoying for me. I am on vacation and had the best meal at a Denny's yesterday i couldn't actually believe it! They had an entire menu listing their allergens and it was great. This place is the worst. Cheap and dirty looking too. Don't be deceived by the oranges on the counter either, if you order the $7 orange juice it will come in prepackaged bottle that looks like it is from a school cafeteria anyway. There is something to be said about a GOOD diner. No frills, or trendy nonsense just straightforward good food. Opens EARLY.. probably one of the earliest breakfast places in Palm Springs besides the 24/7 chains. We came in before sunrise at 5:15 and ordered the Breakfast plate with French toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and 2 sausage. Partner got the deluxe breakfast that came with pancakes, hash browns, toast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon. Everything was delivered to our table hot and BEAUTIFUL. For very visit we have had the service was professional and handled without a struggle. Whether it was an unusually early morning OR a last min night bite before 10:00PM that we wanted some good food, with solid service, and the best bang for our buck. Everything has been super consistent and my personal favorites are the dinner options which come with soup or salad, cheese toast, your main and choice of sides. OR Get any of the Burgers which are HUGE and always good. Honestly? This is our favorite go to joint that doesn't require you to get dolled up for good food. Good food if you order the right thing but I think they rose the prices too much. Breakfasts are all 13-15$ now and like if you order an omelet you're getting a couple eggs and some hash and toast and the portion is small for a 15$ breakfast. Also if you ever app order with a delivery app they hold no responsibility on their end. I had ordered two chicken burritos in a big order and only received one. So I called and they just said to refund with Uber. Well unfortunately those delivery apps dont provide refunds. They have india scam call centers for customer support and auto deny refunds. I had even made a new order on another day and they wouldn't give me the burrito I was missing and the girl just had a "well its not my problem" kinda vibe. So im just minus 13$ for nothing... No, I do not recommend this place. I always went through the drive-through to order breakfast burritos. I always order mine with no ham and sometimes they leave the ham on it. Do they understand what they're charging per breakfast burrito! They hardly listen to your order! Establishments like these should be happy and grateful they are still receiving continuous business BUT i will no longer be eating here. We stopped by Goody's on our way home from staying at the Westin in Rancho Mirage--it was only about a 6-minute drive from the hotel. I ordered the pancakes, my sister had the French toast, and my husband went for a double bacon cheeseburger. The clear winner was the French toast--my sister said it was the best she's ever had and talked about it the entire drive home! The food came out quickly, with the French toast arriving first. They do offer "fresh-squeezed" orange juice, but it's pre-packaged in a plastic bottle, so don't expect it to be freshly juiced on the spot. Prices were average and reasonable. The pancakes were fine but nothing special, while the burger was solid. Overall, we'd definitely recommend Goody's and would go back again for a quick breakfast option. Stopped here on the way to the air museum for breakfast. It's a neat place. The food is good. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I had Plate C (biscuits n gravy, eggs, bacon and sausage). My wife had the pastrami omelet with sourdough toast. By the way they fresh squeeze their orange juice. Very tasty. Nothing fancy, just decent food and drink in a clean restaurant. They have a drive through that was constantly busy so it must travel well. We have been here one time before and again, great food! The restaurant is similar to as fast food walk up/drive through, but the food is so superior. The young lady who took our order was sweet and informative. She was perfect to be the face of Goody's for the customer. The seating is comfortable and a great space to dine! I had the pork chop dinner and rivaled other known restaurants here in the desert. My hubby had the chicken Philly and loved it. Also, had a bite of the chicken tenders, soooo good. We have been coming to goodys for years and it's always good We are there today and their prices have definitely gone up quite a bit I got my hamburger fries and a drink which has increased significantly but what really stuck in my craw was when I asked for ranch for my fries - they tried to charge me for a thing of ranch I asked really? And she just stared me down I just dropped almost twenty bucks for my hamburger and they can't give me some ranch ? Great breakfast place. Perfect for meeting friends before an outing. It is definitely a no frills place, but it's clean and the counter staff is friendly and efficient. I've had most of their egg dishes and enjoyed almost all of them. Their burgers are pretty standard fare and the few Mexican dishes are about wha6 one should expect from a bacon and egg spot. If you're considering going here, I definitely recommend reviewing their online menu beforehand. They do have all their meals posted high on the walls.
