Backlash Jack With Bulgogi Mushroom And Quinoa Wrap
    Steve A.

All Rise is another great Chicago brewery. It isn't in a great area, but take a risk and have a beer along with some good ass grub. Lots of beer on tap. Even better when there's food to go along with it. They have a cool bar and lounge attached to the brewery and there's also a patio. Coming here the first time was a little confusing. It says it's a brewery on the outside of the building, but the bar is called the Cobra Lounge. Things were cleared up. On site is a brewery. This is All Rise, where they actually make the stuff. Attached is the bar and taproom, which has a different name. This is all pretty much the same business, so if you're looking for one, you're also looking for the other. As for the beer, I've liked all so far. My favorite is the Backlash Jack. It's $7 for most pints, a common price for craft beers. This is an English Brown Ale, with roasted barley and chocolate rye sweetness. As for the food, it's also good. There's more details about the food in my review of the Cobra Lounge. Breweries are plentiful but this is among my favorites. It's close to the Ashland Green Line. The area can get sketchy but it's usually not scary.

Went to All Rise Brewing Company on Friday afternoon. If you are looking for a hard rock or metal bar, this is the place. However, if you are looking for a relaxing beer, there are better options in the area. Quality: All Rise Brewing Company is a bit confusing, as it appears to really be a bar and music venue, but they happen to have their own beers. I asked about the set-up and didn't really get a good answer. I ordered two beers off the menu, one of which came out wrong because the bartender could barely hear me. The Three Orange Wit was a nice refreshing witbier. I was not crazy about Cease And Desist, which was the bartender's recommended beer. Quantity: Standard draft sizes, no small pours. Value: $6-$9 for a Draft Beer. Ambiance: All Rise Brewing Company is located in the West Loop area of Chicago. This area has a ton of breweries, but this place is more of a bar than a brewery. I entered through a backyard area and sat down at the bar. There appeared to be multiple other spaces in the building that were not open yet. They had a few tables inside and outside, as well as plenty of stools lined up along the bar. Metal music played loudly in the background, which caused conversations to be a shouting match. Crowd: One work group and two regulars who may also have been employees. Service: The music was blaring and the different servers were just shouting at each other. It was a lot, especially considering how it was still pretty early on a Friday afternoon. Parking: Street parking in the area.

Not a fan. Weird vibes, the beer wasn't very good. It's more of a lounge than a brewery. I didn't even finish my beer, I just bounced

The cauliflower steak was delicious (though it was a thick slice of cauliflower so it wasn't so tender) and served with cheesy faro. The fried chicken was bone in chicken and had the perfect crunch and flavor. It's served with tasty mashed potatoes. Lastly we ordered a side of their Mac n cheese to split between the table which I would recommend. If you're celebrating a birthday they offer a complimentary slice of their hummingbird cake which was honestly the best cake I've had in a while. Our server was so sweet and helpful when ordering! The space is also very romantic with low lighting, a smaller intimate dining room, and stunning art.

Our server was alert and conscientious, along with the staff assisting her. We ordered the Deviled Eggs, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Shrimp & Grits (3), & Chicken Sandwich. Deviled eggs were delectable. Both the sandwich and fried chicken were great, but not spectacular. The shrimp and grits fell short for me, but my family enjoyed theirs. Now for the star of the show, Hummingbird Cake. Had I known this cake was so mouthwatering, I would have ordered 4 portions and disregarded my meal entirely. I'm absolutely going back to try the brunch and order a second helping of this cake. Overall 8/10

We bopped in and little to our surprise, it was the best decision we made all day. I got the shawarma bowl with gryo and the garlic sauce fries and wow, everything was to die for. I wish I wasn't just visiting Chicago so this place was more accessible to me everyday. But I fear i'd go broke if this was in my city. This is a great quick lunch option especially if visiting the zoo/park/beach area. Everything felt light, fresh, and healthy. It felt a little pricey for me but it's Chicago so it may be normal so take that as you will but for how delicious and the amazing ingredients it's worth it. Especially that dang pink sauce on the fries....you've got to get the garlic sauce fries if you check this place out. Some of the most beautiful and tasty fries i've ever had! The atmosphere is cute and bright too. A happy place to eat lunch and hang out in! I'm not from Chicago so i'm already missing this place! Add to your "must try" list for sure!

From the food and ambiance to the consistently outstanding service, everything is truly top-tier. This visit was just as exceptional as every one before it. We shared the Sweet Corn Hummus, Spicy Whipped Feta, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Wild Mushrooms, Crispy Potatoes, Grilled Chicken, and the Lamb & Beef Kefta. Every single dish was outstanding. I wish I had taken more photos, but we were too busy enjoying the food as it arrived at the table! For drinks, my sister loved the Strawberry Rose Paloma, and I enjoyed a glass of Kir-Yianni Sparkling Rosé, which paired beautifully with the meal. The warm, seasoned pita deserves its own recognition. It's soft, pillowy, and absolutely addictive. Honestly, it's hard not to fill up on the pita and spreads before the rest of the meal even arrives. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly and attentive, without ever feeling intrusive. We usually make room for dessert, but we were completely stuffed this time. In the past, though, I've loved both the Warm Sticky Date Cake and the Frozen Greek Yogurt, and I'd recommend either without hesitation. I was secretly hoping for a tiny scoop of frozen yogurt as a birthday surprise, but my server didn't mention it and I didn't remind him of the celebration (and honestly, we were way too full anyway ). As a huge Top Chef fan, it's always special dining at Chef CJ Jacobson's restaurant. I had the opportunity to meet him during my very first visit to Ema, and he was incredibly gracious. His creativity and attention to flavor are evident in every dish. Ema continues to set the standard for what a great dining experience should be. It's the restaurant I recommend most often when people ask me where to eat in Chicago, and it remains my go-to place for special celebrations. I can't wait to come back again soon! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad PS: the hotel next door no longer provides parking validation.
