I quite like this place! I order from here plenty of times during the month when I need my pho fix, and it definitely hits that craving! The broth and meat always look fresh and smell amazing, and it's just a comforting, warm meal after a busy day. The reason I removed a star, was because there have been times when the little baggie of basil and sprouts has arrived, and the sprouts are slimy or the basil is brown and wilted. It's disappointing as I have to end up throwing it away, but it's not too big of a deal for me. However, it's something that should be mentioned if you do plan on ordering take-out or delivery from this place. Other than that, this place does not disappoint with the pho. I haven't tried anything else from here, but from the pictures on other reviews everything looks very good, so I might try something different next time! read more

Last night June 4 2020 i was rather disappointed by the quality of the soup. Although the sandwich the brisket Philly was excellent. Maybe this is more of a sandwich shop?? We ordered both the rare steak Pho and my friend wanted chicken Pho. The broth, seems like it's right out of the can. No depth or complexity which is typical of Asian Pho Broth. The large Pho serves two. Inside the two serving bowls to go, they place the cilantro onions and rice noodles and the meat. The rice noodles are all in a clump and when you pour the hot broth over them they stay in a big clump. Then they give you a small packet of bean shoots several slices of jalapeño and a few basil leaves. A Very small amount of herbs compared to what you get at a real Asian restaurant. I was not happy with flavor at all. Not the broth or the amount of herbs to make it taste like traditional Pho. ( this must be their watered down American version of Pho ) Fake Pho They also give you the two sauces to flavor your soup the Hoision and the other spicy sauce together in one condiment container. So you can't flavor the soup less spicy as my friend prefers. We also ordered the eggrolls which are four small eggrolls to one order. They were really good although they only serve them with Sweet and spicy chili sauce. So if you're not in the spices I'd ask for something else on the side. read more

First time trying this place tonight. I'm a big pho fan so I was hopeful to have a place closer to home for it. I wasn't disappointed. Pho was adequate and tasty. Could have a little more meat in it, but other wise the flavor was on point. Egg rolls weren't great. Thought they'd be small spring roll type. I've seen this place in the plaza every time I go to Bento and I'm sad that it has taken me this long to come here! Menu is simple but the food is so tasty and fresh. I had one of the bowls with shrimp and garlic noodles with peanut sauce. Omg so damn good. The shrimp was super fresh and I loved the garlic noodles. This place is amazing. I was intending to go to neighboring PokeRamen or Bento but they were slappin' with lines out the door and I really wasn't about to wait in line... I noticed GoPho next door and what I found was so much better!! We over-ordered a little bit for just two people since I was coming off a long day of work and didn't wana chance not liking something I got, but everything was amazing! We ordered the spicy bulgogi cheesesteak, chicken Bahn mi, shaking beef, and brisket bao buns. Hands down, everything was awesome!! Fantastic pho. Just got The combo for large, but it was more than I expected! Don't let the size for you, it is full of powerpack tasting beef broth with enough toppings to fill your belly up. I received a flyer in the mail for Go Pho and decided to try it on my lunch break this week since the Yelp reviews were so good. I ordered the oxtail fried rice and got the pork banh mi (recommended by the guy working the counter) as the lunch special ($9 for a sandwich, spring roll and fountain drink) for my kids' after school snack. The oxtail rice was so good! I've eaten a lot of oxtail in my life, typically at Caribbean restaurants, but have never had it Asian style. The meat was tender and flavorful and really was perfect with the rice. I liked that they only put a drizzle of the spicy mayo because I forgot to ask for it on the side. Thankfully it wasn't drowning in mayonnaise, it was just enough to add a little extra flavor. I checked in on Yelp to get the free milk and it was super sweet. It tasted like cereal milk. My kids enjoyed it but it isn't something I could see myself ordering. The sign said the lunch special came with slaw but my kids said it was actually a spring roll. They split it and the sandwich and said it was "bussin bussin" so next time I have a hankering for a sandwich I'll have to go back and try it for myself. I felt like a brothy soup so I ordered the oxtail pho. It was delicious but then I got violently ill with food poisoning within a couple of hours. This was the only thing I've eaten all day and no one else in my house got sick lending me to believe that this was a direct result of my pho. Having seen pictures of the topping bar, and used the sprouts, jalapeño, limes and basil, I wonder if the veg is the culprit?? Usually pretty good, they have the most options for vegetarians and a unique menu which is nice. They keep forgetting the give me the side of stuff (bean sprouts, sauces, jalapeño, lime) with the pho. So just make sure to ask for it before you leave. read more

I was surprisingly impressed. I admit I misjudged this place because it seemed too "commercial" and "modern". I usually only go to the hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurants that have "pho (and a number)" because I know they'll be authentic. My friend and I saw some good reviews though and wanted to eat somewhere that would have some tables outside so we decided to give it a try. I can't speak for the pho but their bowls were actually pretty worth. You choose a base, two proteins, and two sauces. Everything was actually really flavorful. I don't think it's authentic to the tee but I appreciate how they adopted some of the classic Vietnamese flavors into a quick bowl. We both got the garlic noodles which we liked. my friend got chicken and steak, while I got steak and pork. We both agreed that we would probably just get double steak next time though (perk is that all the meats are same price). For about $10-$11 portions were good and the flavors were on point. The food at this place is great, but the service is spotty at best. I went for my third time this evening and experienced my third problem. I'm not sure if they're just not prepared or don't have enough staff, but I worry that once things go back to normal this place will not be able to keep up with the business of being so closely located to all of the universities. For starters I got the egg rolls, and wings. Then I ordered a bowl with garlic noodles, steak and shrimp. I also got peanut sauce. I can't complain about the egg rolls I guess, but the wings?! Those wings were NOT for me. The sauce they came with was supposed to be sweet and tangy bu it was just BITTER. The wings themselves didn't look good and if you try eating them without the sauce, it's still disappointing. The garlic noodles were good, but the steak didn't taste good. It was dry and flavorless. The shrimp was alright. I was really excited for this bowl because I ordered the peanut sauce, but unfortunately that peanut sauce wasn't good either. I'm mostly shocked about the the peanut sauce. I couldn't eat that at all. Oh I also got this green milk drink. I don't know what they were trying to do with that but it just tasted like a taro milk tea with green food coloring. My mom and I are huge Vietnamese food lovers, so when we found GoPho on Instagram, we had to try it out. And wow, I'm so glad we did! From the first look on the inside, we could already tell it's a winner. It's super hip and modern, with a very fun and cute vibe. With sayings like "rice rice baby" and "dude, it's fuh not fo" on the walls, the atmosphere reflects the fun and fresh nature of their menu as well. My mom and I had the Thai Tea, which I absolutely loved, and took our food to go due to the restaurant only doing to-go orders at this time. It smelled so good we had our food in the car. The avocado wantons were hot and crisp, with the perfect blend of savory and spicy. The banh mi my mom had was delish. The bread was super fresh, the veggies where nice and crisp, the egg was great, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The bowl was also awesome! The chicken and shrimp where also tender and juicy, and all the veggies where super fresh and crisps. We didn't have a single complaint. We'll definitely be back, and we look forward to having girls day lunches in there when the dining room opens back up! read more
