Terrible, awful food and drinks. The margarita tasted like sour mix. The grilled chicken I got was so rubbery and I had so much trouble cutting into it. The jasmine rice was hard and dry. I got 3 pieces of asparagus on the side and they tasted like microwaved. $15 for a small portion that was probably a frozen meal heated up. If you get here closer to closing time, which we didn't know because there was NO sign of the the hours, the staff will rush you and barely give you a chance to look at the menu. Absolutely the worst. Staff was rude, IF you could get their attention. Sat down for ten minutes at a filthy table and multiple staff just glanced over and then walked away. Tables are jammed in so tight you can barely walk. Asked one server if she could provide directions to the restroom and she just said "no." Asked for clarity and with a sigh she said "you have to go back down to the terminal." After a few more minutes waiting for someone to at least wipe our table and give us a menu, we just left. This is an airport location. The vibe is nice in between flights. We came up for a quick bite. We sat at the bar. The waiters, on this day, were awesome. The food was very good. Be sure to hit the bathrooms downstairs before you take the escalator or elevator up-there are NO bathrooms at this restaurant. That being said, the service is good here. The food better than most airport spots. read more

I was presently surprised to see that ATL airport has a Gordon Biersh Restaurant. My very first experience at the one located in Virginia Beach Towne Center was excellent. I was hoping to recreate that experience at this location being that my flight was delayed. I took the escalator up to the restaurant and to my surprise I was not instantly greeted. No hostess? I walked to the bar and grabbed a seat Was not impressed but I did receive quality service!to watch the Army vs Navy football game. At the bar I was greeted nicely and given a menu. I ordered a tall Hefeweizen wish was absolutely delicious. My absolute favorite beer Due to the very fond memory I had with the last Biersch experience I decided to be a repeat offender and order the Pretzel as an appetizer. I was disappointed that the Pretzel did not come on a hook like I in the other chain restaurants. I'm addition it was served with sausage skewers and 3 sauces. Mustard, bacon cheese and butter. The sausage was dry and lacking in my opinion. Even the butter was not tasty. I must say that I was not impressed! The sauces were not very good or as good as the previous location that I had devoured in VIrginia Beach VA. I am questioning why the taste and consistency of the sauces were different. I believe that both the presentation of the pretzel, flavor and consistency of the sauces were the selling point for this signature dish and it did not meet my expectations. I know that airport prices are a lot higher but I was not happy about paying over $30 after tip for a pretzel and a beer. My server was very nice but my experience was not thee best due to the food. Our server was rude, didn't put our food in and blamed it on her having been there since 5am... sorry you have to work? A scaled down version of the German restaurant in the Atlanta Airport. I got the Sausage and Pretzel appetizer, awesome!!! Two skewers of sliced sausage, tender, flavorful, portion was just right. Pretzel was warm, soft, chewy yumminess. Everything you want in a soft Pretzel, excellent!! 3 dipping sauces comes with the platter, a whole grain mustard, two cheeses, one, a beer cheese, and the other, infused with meat flavor. It's right by where all the restaurants are, however, it's more secluded since you have to take an escalator up to get to the restaurant. I went for breakfast, around 7 am. I was seated right away by a nice window seat! Staff wore masks and tables were decently far away from each other unless if you are at the bar. Omelet: very delicious, nicely seasoned, lots of cheese. came with toast and potatoes wedges. Peach martini: tasted delicious, you can definitely feel the alcohol. Just enough to loosen you up before a trip. Yes I know it was early...but drink responsibly and enjoy right :) Overall I enjoyed it and would visit again. 4.5 stars. Excellent lunch and fantastic service during my layover in Atlanta. My server, Andrea, was so kind and welcoming during my visit. She checked in only when it looked like I needed something, but otherwise was mindful of the fact that I was preoccupied and allowed me to enjoy my meal in peace. She recommended that I start the meal with a house salad. Good recommendation because it was a really good salad: simple but fresh and delicious. For lunch I had the Mediterranean chicken breast topped with bruschetta and shredded mozzarella, and served with Jasmine rice and sauteed green and yellow squash. The chicken breast was so juicy and the bruschetta was an excellent pairings. The veggies and the rice were unseasoned, but it was nothing a little sprinkle of salt couldn't fix. She was also on point with her service and even as crazy as it was inside, she was still so friendly amd made sure I was well taken care of!! I had a good experience here. My friend and I had a 90 minute layover in Atlanta. Both hungry we thought Gordon Biersch would be a great spot for lunch. Unfortunately for us so did everyone else in ATL. It took some time for us to be seated, which considering the crowd was more than expected. Once seated our waitress asked us concernly when our departing flight was. Told her it was in an hour and she warned that it may not be enough time and there were fourteen burger orders ahead of us. Just that level of thoughtfulness and we told Chuchu we'd take the risk. Everything was slower than normal but the place was so busy I didn't have unrealistic expectations. Once I received my drink I was really good to go and felt much more relaxed. It took a bit more time but we received our burgers and ate them in four minutes in order to make our flight. So that said I can't really tell you how good or not good the burger was because I basically inhaled it. I recall it being good and tasty and something that I could devour in minutes. I only managed to eat three French fries and they were perfect. Very tasty, crispy without being hard, and a nice level of salt. The staff is friendly and the food and drink prices were not bad for the airport either. Our server Tai, was so sweet and showed birthday love to my hubby. I ordered a margarita and a Caesar salad with salmon with a side of bruschetta. It was good. My hubby skipped the meal and opted for a Yuengling and a shot of Woodford Reserve bourbon. Had a couple hour layover here on my trip home and opted for this restaurant vs the busy fast food food court joints. They did a great job w social distancing the seating as well as wearing masks. Down a star for the food. I'm not sure what made me think that a BBQ burger was a good idea but they just did not execute. The sauce tasted like something you'd get for $1 a bottle at Aldi. Sorry. With the layover flight at more than 3 hours, I figure I find a spot to sit down and get some drinks and some food to go with it. Besides, I didn't get a chance to get lunch nor breakfast earlier so walking by this establishment through 4 different Gates/Terminal at the ATL Int'l got me all famished... There's a menu at the bottom escalator at the bottom entrance that you can decide whether or not to eat here. As you go up, the front desk reception greets you and since I already spent some time looking at the menu earlier, I only needed to be seated. Greeted the brothers at the reception and after a minute or so, they got me a table right next to a very beautiful view of the airplane ports and bridge-way. Looking around, there's plenty of tables all over the place. This restaurant is pretty awesome since it's all exclusively located at the top of the typical traffic at Terminal A. There's even a rectangular bar that you can easily entertain yourselves to the crafted signature cocktails they have available. I simply asked for a table away from the drinkers. Hahaha! I ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger along with a bottle of Angry Orchid Cider Beer. Nothing fancy. I figure it was pretty busy so when I got seated and the actual waiter came around, I gave my meal order and drink order at the same time. So after I ordered, I would say no more than 10 mins, my meal came a minute after my beer. So pretty cool!!! The food was awesome. Lots of fellow travelers and diners around me so it appears everyone is definitely enjoying themselves. Yes, even the bar-goers! We had a layover at lunchtime at ATL and decided to eat here because their location isn't crowded in with the food court, but an actual full restaurant upstairs. Their menu is pretty limited for food choices, but has just enough options you should find something you'll like. Their prices were quite steep, and I'm guessing that's due to a combo of an airport up-charge and supply-chain issues/inflation. $18 for a chicken sandwich with fries is a bit much, but at least it tasted good. I ordered the bratwurst platter which was delicious and came with perfectly sautéed & seasoned veggies and rice (and it came with 3 medium brats, so it was a lot of food). Time between connecting flights give one the perfect excuse for a Pint and a Bite. Found this brewery at Terminal A at Atlanta Airport. Plenty of TVs all over the brewery enables travelers to watch games, news. I was craving a BLT, well they had one. A huge sandwich, with plenty of bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado paste. I was not as hungry as I thought, and found that the sandwich was bland in taste. The Pint of Marzen was refreshing. An Octoberfest brew, smooth. I enjoyed it very much. I had the Cajun fish tacos, no Cajun about them. I have no idea why they had blue shell soft tacos wrapped inside regular flour tacos. No extra flavor or purpose, just extra calories. I can't tell you the last time I walked out on a restaurant while waiting for food but I did. It today. My experience was on a Wednesday afternoon in this place that was less than 70% full. My order? A simple cheeseburger with fries...hold the lettuce. After 25 minutes I flagged down my server who hadn't visited to check on me since taking my order. She blamed it on cooks who couldn't keep up with French Fries orders! That's a new one on me, honestly. I had skipped the fast food places in the building in a effort to enjoy a bit of a "relaxed" meal. I hadn't anticipated the staff were doing lots of relaxing as well. I finally walked out after 40 minutes after no sign of my server or a cheeseburger. By the way, no manager in sight (no surprise there!) I fly through Atlanta pretty often and while I don't expect perfection, this was easily my worst experience ever in this airport...and that's saying something. Tables around me, at least 3 with children, were searching for for their orders as well by the time I chose to leave this disaster and I felt sorry for them. Nothing worse than lousy (make that zero!) food service when traveling with kids. Run from this place. They obviously could care less as the traveler traffic generates more customers than they can handle. read more
