Always hear great things about this place so I was surprised to see the reviews they had on here. It's apparent they've evolved and talking with Christian the cashier, the kids started the food truck on their own when they were 22 during Covid! Let me repeat that they were 22 when they started Gordos! I got there around 6pm and it was very busy, but Christian still gave me his full attention and was super helpful guiding me through the menu. I ended up getting the Gordos fries hot/regular and 2 chicken tender combos for my fiancé and her friend. The ambience was a fun vibe they have string lights set up through out the walls so even though it's a very dark area, the vibe of the place was excellent. Like mentioned earlier, even though it was busy, the wait time was maybe 15 - 20 minutes, which compared to other food trucks (and even chicken spots) it was lighting fast. We got our food and the gentleman (I believe he was Eddie) handing out the orders recommended I try it with honey, and extra Gordos sauce and threw them in the bag free of charge. Let me tell you, the reason why I'm leaving this review is because the flavor their food carries is so unique and delicious we HAD to let it be known! The Mac and cheese is packed with flavor, every bite is a party in your mouth, the chicken is crispy and juicy, and the Gordos sauce is delicious, think of a chikfila sauce just a bit spicier and way fresher. If you're reading this get the Gordos Fries and you won't be disappointed, but the chicken tenders were astounding too, they drizzle sauce on them and no extra cost and paired with the Hawaiian bread is a great choice as well. I love Gordos Hot chicken!! This place is delicious and so tasty and so filling. The prices are perfect for what you get, you get a huge quantity of food in one plate, super filling all for the price of $16. I prefer this way more than chicfila, Wingstop, and canes which are over priced and get you somewhat full. But Gordos, it's a whole nother level of taste, and filling. Gordos Hot Chicken is the spot! The food and customer service is great. The cashier(Christian) is always spot on when taking orders. Food is always ready when I call for a pick up order.
