Just ordered UberEats pickup from here last night and was very satisfied. The Gorilla Sushi chain is all about cheap quick sushi, so you can't expect the fanciest finest cuts of fish. But for the price the portions were good, the fish was reasonably fresh, and everything was pretty tasty. I got a yellowtail scallion roll, spicy scallop roll, salmon avocado roll, volcano roll (spicy tuna topped with a torched spicy scallop mayo mixture), and red milennium roll (california roll topped with seared tuna and unagi sauce). The basic rolls came with 6 pieces each, and the spicy scallop wasn't too drenched in sauce like some cheap places often do. The salmon avocado was tasty as well, although the restaurant mistakenly but tempura crisps and spicy mayo on mine as if it were a spicy salmon roll. The volcano roll had a bit more mayo/cream cheese and a bit less scallop top than I expected, but the combination was still really rich and tasty. The red milennium roll was light and also had just the right amount of unagi sauce to not overpower everything. While it's definitely not anywhere near on omakase or fine dining sushi joint, I was more than happy with the quality and amount of food I got for the price. If I lived a bit closer I would definitely put this place on my go-to list for whenever I need to satisfy a sudden craving for sushi! read more

Five for the price and delivery speed, three for the food itself. What I like is that the sushi roll portions are slightly smaller than conventional places (four pieces) but because of that, you are able to try more varieties without breaking the bank on six or eight portion rolls. The price point is good as well. I had two different rolls and two different apps and the total with delivery was just over $20. And the speed in which it arrived was incredible! Maybe I got lucky, but those are two huge pros. The sushi itself was pretty average. I've developed more of a snooty standard for sushi and this stuff isn't the best, but not the worst. I wish I had tried some sashimi to really get a taste for the quality of the fish without the added frills. Would I order from here again? Yes because of the price and speed. I've tried a couple rolls from here but my go to is the basic Salmon Avocado roll. Thanks to my Tik Tok addicted teen, she is now the one giving me recommendations. I mean, I used to be heavy on the foodie scene until I became a chef, but now I'm too busy cooking for others to be able to follow the new hot shit in town. So she and I like sushi. The Whole Foods variety worked for me and the occasional date night at a sushi spot worked for me. Like, I like sushi, but I'm no connoisseur, ya dig? But once she told me about Gorilla and we went to check it out, it's our go-to, t-takeout sushi spot. With so much variety on the menu and the great prices, you can't help but try everything. This place is small but cute. Probably max seating is 30 people. They do to go as well. Anything you don't finish, you can take to go or just order things to go! The concept of this place is that they basically give you a half portion (4 pieces) of traditional specialty rolls for $4. I think that's still a good deal because sometimes the full sized rolls are more than $8. This is a nice place to go if you want to try many different rolls. Quality isn't the best of course. It's super low price. The sushi rice isn't as "sour" as it's supposed to be , but it's okay lol. read more

I will say, over time, the rolls seems to have gotten smaller and the quality seems to have dropped. I wish there were more options on the menu that didn't have fillers like cucumber or avocado but I totally understand it for the price point that Gorilla offers. The nigiri comes 2 pcs per order, and the sashimi (which I didn't order but called about) would have 3 pcs per order. My favorite was the spicy trio roll, although we were disappointed that it appeared to be missing white tuna. Overall I would give five stars for the combination of price, portion size, and thoughtful packaging (they labeled all of our rolls for delivery upon request). The sushi itself gets a 4/5. The tuna in some of the tempura rolls was just wat over cooked. We ordered a lot of different rolls because they seemed to be smaller, but less expensive, so that was nice.
