Customer service here was great! The gentleman working the service bar was well-informed and took care to answer all of my questions. I didn't get his name but he mentioned he was Ukrainian. I didn't typically go for middle eastern food. It can be bland. I thought the reviews were decent so I thought it was okay to try. Boy do I regret it. For this being similar to a chipotle the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I could have gotten a pasta dish at an expensive restaurant for just a few more dollars. I got the 50/50 bowl with falafel and chicken. Couscous as my base, light greens, Tabbouleh, cucumber dill salad, cabbage, eggplant, tzatziki sauce, hummus and pickles. It was extra for Feta and olives which I opted out of. It was $18.86. The falafel was good. It has a strong citrus and cilantro flavor which paired well with the tzatziki sauce. The eggplant, the cabbage, the Tabbouleh, the cucumber salad all desperately needed flavor. Everything was so bland. A pinch of salt and lemon would have made the world of difference. I just couldn't taste anything besides plain bland vegetables and garlic. The falafel paired well with these components but bc it was a 50/50 bowl I only received 3. The chicken was terrible. No flavor at all. The issue is that bc I didn't opt for the ridiculously expensive add ons, which would have made this a $22 meal, the meal was BLAND. The chicken DESPERATELY needs the salty olives and feta. However for fast food that comes in a bowl I just could not justify paying extra for something and it's even more appalling that the dish NEEDS the add-ons. I'm from out of town (Tucson, AZ). I understand that the influence of local culture is going to impact ethnic cuisine. Maybe people in this area don't like seasonings or spice or salt. Either way, this was a terrible waste of $18. If you're someone who likes balanced nuanced flavors, this is not the place to go. If you know you like this kind of food, I'm still not sure this is the place to go. read more

I ordered a bowl for pickup from Gotta Eatta Pita and showed up about 10 minutes later--props to them for having it ready so quickly. That said, they forgot to include the side of tahini and utensils, so I had to go back in to grab those. Thankfully I hadn't left the parking lot yet. I got the Falafel & Chicken Shawarma bowl, and the first thing I noticed was how loaded it was. They definitely don't skimp on portions. Unfortunately, everything in the bowl was cold, which was disappointing. The tahini was super thick--more like tartar sauce than a drizzle--and not what I expected. The hummus was actually really good, and the tabbouleh was fresh and flavorful. But the falafel? Mushy and bland--kind of like a flavorless doughnut. Easily one of the worst falafels I've had. The chicken shawarma didn't help much either--just really lacking in flavor overall. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and the pickup was fast. So surprised I haven't reviewed this yet. I have ordered this on DoorDash for years and most recently came into eat. The restaurant itself was sooo warm. We asked if they had AC and they said no. I couldn't stand the heat so we had to take our food to the car and eat. Makes me wonder if there is no air, how is the food lasting all day? Idk seems weird and kinda gross. The food is always hit or miss here. Sometimes the falafel is good sometimes it isn't, sometimes the pita bread tastes like cardboard sometimes it doesn't. You can get creative and custom tailor your meal to your every whim. I've personally been coming to this location for four years, but my husband has been a fan for far longer. When we began dating, he felt that I *needed* to try it, but I'd been to other pita shops in the past that underwhelmed me (Pita Pit comes to mind as a so-so, meh option). It wasn't until I tried it myself that I became a true believer - because actually tasting truly is believing here. If you're looking for a laid-back date spot with actual wood tables + booths and plenty of space to stretch your wings, this is definitely the spot to go. People often do takeout here so the tables are wide open for some relaxing get-to-know-ya's. Service is always good here and my orders are almost always correct. Unlike certain chains (coughcough CHIPOTLE coughcough) the quality and portions don't vary depending on whether you order ahead or order in-store, so you can feel confident that you'll get the same quality + quantity even when you preorder on the web. The food is so fresh - e.g. the pitas are always very fluffy and taste like they were baked today. The chicken is *very* well marinated and you have the option to put a base of greens, Israeli cous cous, or both. The mix of toppings and flavors are really what sets this place apart from other lackluster pita shops. Namely, you can add any combination of hummus, a special spicy sauce called s'hug, tomato + cucumber salad, tabbouleh, cabbage, marinated eggplant, Mediterranean pickles, kalamata olives, feta, and roasted peppers. Plus the best part is that every entree is actually two to three meals. Two for my husband but three for me since I always get an overly stuffed bowl with a pita on the side. Something that might seem unimportant, but I think is a huge bonus, is the variety of drink options - everything from standard fountain sodas, pure leaf iced tea, stubborn sodas, Martinelli's apple juice, sparkling waters, life water, to even Starbucks bottled frappuccinos. I'm sad to say that I was disappointed by my meal at Gotta Eatta Pita and probably wouldn't try it again. I like that the food is served chipotle style, where you can see what the available ingredients are and how fresh they look, and can ask for more of something or less of something. My go to spot, the kebab shop, gatekeeps the ingredients behind the counter which I don't like. My issues were with the taste and presentation. The veggies, hummus, and tahini were fresh and tasty, but the falafel was cold and had been sitting out, and the chicken was dry. I got a pita which was super messy. The ingredients were layered in such a way that each bite only has a couple of ingredients in it, for example all of the rice is at the bottom, all of the greens were at the top, etc. my local mom and pop falafel place mixes everything together so the ingredients are well distributed. It was impossible to eat without getting my hands dirty. I would not recommend getting a pita unless you're taking it home and can unload it into a bowl. I had to ask for a bowl after I sat down to unload my pita and eat it with a fork. The staff didn't understand why I wanted that but they gave it to me, no problem. That also solved the issue of the poor ingredient distribution. The pita without any extras, with tax and $1 tip came out to $18 something. Expensive but I can't fault them for that since all food is overpriced to that level now. I was just too disappointed by the falafel freshness, ingredient distribution, and the way they serve / box up the pita to give this place a good rating unfortunately. read more

Years have gone by and this place still holds up. This is the only place (that I know of) that you can get Israeli couscous in a fast food setting. It's so delicious and incredibly healthy, you can feel your body heal from eating all the healthy things they add. There's ~4 different sides of vegetables you can add and I generally load my bowl up with everything that is included in the base price. I wish they had a location in the South Bay (I think they did at one point, but it may have closed down?). This location in particular is definitely different though. The portions is just the way I like it. This is the kind of food that can sustain you the entire day, it's just jam packed with so many nutrients and fiber to hold you up. There's an extra charge for roasted red peppers, olives and feta. I got the olives because I can never get enough olives. The resulting creation was a huge and tasty bowl of Mediterranean food. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was a decent price and a lot of food. This is meant to be fast food but it's not as fast as chipotle - they don't quite have the efficiency down since certain parts of the steam table are hot and others are cold so they have to go back and forth. Food: Our most favorite place to go for simple Mediterranean dishes. We ordered one bowl with chicken shawarma (with hummus, our favorite eggplants, and other toppings -- you can choose from array of options) and two sides (falafels and pita bread). The taste didn't disappoint, it was always good! Chicken shawarma was so tasty, hummus had a hint of garlic which we liked, falafels were so fragrant and soft inside but crispy on the outside. The pita bread was the soft one (not the toasted pita bread), it was a bit dry on the inside but since we ate with bunches of stuff in the bowl (also the sauces) which had enough moisture then we didn't really mind it. Service: Friendly waiter! Accepted card as the payment method. Ambiance: It was so empty when we came, plenty of seats, but it was also like that last time we went there. Small little Mediterranean fast casual restaurant located in a strip mall. Set up is very similar to other fast casual restaurants kinda like chipotle. People commonly come here to order their bowls it seems like. My brother and I stopped here after we worked out and since I'm trying to cut back on meat all I got was a side order of the falafel while my brother got one of their bowls. The falafel was fresh and had a nice crisp on the outside. It came with two different sauces that were very tasty. A tasty road treat indeed. The servings for the bowls look pretty generous. It looks like I can easily have a nice full meal and have some left over for later. I don't live in the area but from what my brother said he's quite the regular at this place and I could understand why. What a lovey experience. My husband enjoyed a loaded falafel pita and I enjoyed a falafel and shawarma bowl. The portions are extremely generous we could have shared a dish. If you enjoy fresh garden to table ingredients this is the place. The bowl was lined with a bed of lettuce and then topped with four different salads that included a scoop of eggplant, hummus, quinoa and cucumber. Honesty the salads were served enough, but the bowl did include falafel and chicken. Next time we will share a plate or I'll have delicious leftovers. The ladies working also have wonderful energy. Their Greek eggplant dish was definitely a favorite, but the portion of that was about half the size of the other dishes. I think it was considered just a side dish, but I wish I had more of that because that disappeared quickly. We ordered some chicken and some falafel, and I'm glad they were in separate trays as some of our friends are vegan. Not only was the food delicious, the packaging was A+. Everything was packed in a huge cardboard box. Each dish was served in large, well-sealed containers, and there was not 1 spill. Best of all, they give you plastic serving spoons and tongs.
