Yafa was recommended in the SF Chronicle as one of the best eats. I got around 5 dishes and to my surprise my favorite was the fries with the chicken shawarma. It was flavorful, dynamic, and unique. The other dishes weren't as good as some of our other favorite spots like Mazra. read more

As you order you pick your base (rice, salad, hummus) a protein (chicken, gyro meat, etc) and two sides they have plenty of options to pick from, even dolmas. You also can pick two sauces. Hearty portions and flavorful food. Service was good, takes a minute for them to prepare your order (no complaints from me!) ambiance is a quaint eat and go establishment. I ordered takeout, and did a build your own bowl with Greek salad, falafel, hummus and baba ghanoush, tzatziki sauce. I also bought a mango pistachio Turkish delight The food was yummy and savory and I am glad I was able to customize it so it would still be nutritious but is vegetarian. I did wish it wasn't $2.25 for one cube of Turkish delight which was sweet but I'm used to getting a bigger block of it (even if it would've cost more), but on the plus side that means you could mix and match to try one cube each of various types of Turkish delight. read more

4.25 stars Don't remember exactly when they first opened but it was probably around COVID lockdown. Not easy to open a new restaurant when the world shuts down. So happy Yafa Hummus made it even if the bank and bike places next door didn't. Located in a strip mall in west Dublin that used to house Toys R Us and Hobby Lobby. But the area is still fairly busy. Yafa's neighbors include Chipotle and Panera. There's a Target across the parking lot and a Safeway across the street. McDonald's, Michael's and Starbucks are 2 or 3 blocks over. There are also a lot of Mediterranean places that have the same menu so Yafa had to up their game to stand out from the crowd. Yafa Hummus has a smaller menu but almost all they do, they do well. Wish I still lived and worked close by. I would still have this place in short rotation for the yummy bowls, falafel and gyro. Their pita was super fresh, soft, and fluffy. They used the freshest veggies. The meat in the gyro was the best. The GOAT is their falafel which they fry to order. Loved the falafel sliders for a midday snack. But got to give the chicken wrap a pass as the chicken was dry. They also didn't have fries. But they were so new, I think they were still sourcing product when they opened. I've been to Yafa Hummus a couple times and the food is good. I usually get the falafel wrap which is filling. I've had the deluxe wrap before but it honestly tastes the same as the falafel wrap. Maybe my taste buds are unrefined but I think the taste is so similar, so save the $3 and go with the falafel wrap. The reason for the 3 star review is I had a weird incident the last time I was here. I planned to order via the online portal but decided to just order in store since I was at the Target in the same shopping complex. I had added all my items I wanted to the cart already online and saw my order total was $45. When I went to the restaurant and ordered at the register (not the kiosk but the register with a human), my order total came out to $56. I wasn't sure why there was an $11 difference in the online vs in-person order even though everything was the same. I didn't question the cashier at the point of sale because I assumed I would get a receipt for the purchase and I could look it over then. I didn't want to bring anything up and then look stupid if I was wrong about anything. So I made my order and paid.... And never got a receipt. Since I was meeting up with people and was already running late, I just let it go. I also assumed they got my order wrong and gave me multiple deluxe wraps instead of falafel wraps. They did not.. the items were all correct, so the random up-charge did leave a bad taste in my mouth. A favorite amongst coworkers and came here for lunch. It was also a nice day to sit at their outside seating. Clean inside and out. The service was great. The workers were attentive and even followed up with us. I ordered my favorite go to a gyro pita. Enjoyed how perfectly seasoned the beef was and how fresh the tomatoes were. I am extremely disappointed in this place. It was my first time trying it & saw the reviews were decent had good reviews but when I arrived the place was not very friendly, customer service is Big for me. I wasn't greeted and had to wait while the guy at the register was on the phone and eating his meal at the register I was shocked! I was going to dine in but felt I should just get it to go because the atmosphere wasn't feeling good. That being said I didn't realize until it was too late and I got back to work a few minutes later that my food seemed like it was sitting and NOT FRESH at all. The chicken was extremely dry and there wasn't much of it for how much I paid I hoped it would be a decent amount of protein. Everything about my experience here was poor. Found this location on yelp while in the area. Disappointed! When we were parking notice the cook in front smoking 1st clue, 2nd clue- no greeting when we came in, the guy looked like he hated his job, a woman came out of kitchen but didn't even acknowledge us 3rd clue ordered the bowl with choice 2 protein gyro and steak , was told no you can't do that - ok so we ordered chicken and gyro, next choice was 2 sides- baba ganoush and Tabbouleh, sorry we're out of baba ganoush and we discontinued the tabbouleh . Mid day and you're out of baba ganoush! We went with spicy hummus and Greek salad. Portion was small, gyro was good, chicken dry, spicy hummus good flavor not spicy at all and Greek salad tastes like it's been sitting out for a while. I was skeptical about mediteranian food esp with hummas ...but turned out it was really tasty

First time here. Got the chicken shawarma wrap. Excellent! It was like a yummy Mediterranean burrito. Service was great and very friendly staff. Not a fancy restaurant but a quick in and out place with a handful of tables inside and outside. For such a small place I've never seen such a variety of baklavas and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised everything was delicious and of quality. The falafel wrap wasn't overfilled but the perfect balance of sauce, veggies, & falafel in every bite. The falafel was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I prefer their lavash wrap better over pita, but their lavash bread at moments tastes like a tortilla. Regardless, it was delicious! The fries were perfect and loved whatever they season it with. The portions of the wraps are the perfect size. I would get a bowl if you're more hungry. Sad to say I didn't love this dining experience. While it's a ton of food, I wasn't so impressed. We went with a few bowls and the chicken shawarma sandwich slices up. It was all pretty bland, and nothing tasted too fresh from the meat, to the soggy produce to the stale pitas. The highlight and it was a highlight, were the freshly fried crispy seasoned fries and falafel. They didn't skimp on the hummus either and it was rich and creamy. Again, the bowls for $15 were large - a ton of rice topped with quite a bit of meat. But instead of juicy fresh protein, it was dried up and over cooked. The salads were good, but I'd pass on the beans. I ordered online and sadly they didn't see it come thru, so I ended up waiting quite a while. Overall, this was a miss.
