It would also have been more convenient if the leftover condiments had been packed in containers or trays rather than small Ziploc bags. What an extraordinary service Gourmet Lovers Catering provided for our beautiful Christmas company event. Let me start with the delicious appetizers. They were all gone by the end of the night. The level of service was superior, starting from my quote to the day of delivery. Carolina was quick to respond to every question I had. She provided fabulous options for me. I appreciate that she took in the type of event we were having and personalized it to fit our needs. The appetizers we ordered and desserts were exquisite. They were perfectly displayed and she even placed a beautiful Christmas tree in the middle to giving it that personal touch of elegance. What I truly admire is that it's a husband and wife business. I highly recommend Carolina and her husband. I hired them for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I had previously tasted there food and cake at my friends wedding and loved it so I had to ask my friend for their number. Well it was the best decision I made. Carolina worked with me and answer all my questions. It was a morning birthday so they help me prepared a brunch menu and a beautiful cake. All my guest gave compliments to the food and cake. They were really professional they only had 30 minutes to set up and did it promptly, they were on time and ready to help in the buffet and really pleasant with my guest. Boris and Carolina catered our wedding on March 26, 2016. It was tremendous! We served a bar style menu with 3 varieties of sliders, a couple salad's as well as early evening and late night appetizers. Carolina made us a three tier wedding cake and the guests raved about how good it was. The food was amazing. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and was planning a dinner in Chino, CA. I was NOT an easy client. I had to change my needs several times during the planning process. Carolina's patience, understanding, and problem solving skills were spot on! She had a solution for everything. We were a small, low budget event and I'm positive larger parties were interested in our date, but Carolina wouldn't cancel us, even though I didn't send the signed agreement until way after I was supposed to. They served a variety of sandwiches, pasta salads and wonderful desserts. They really helped give us some piece of mind and not have to worry about food for over 50 people. If you go with The Center for your wedding, just make sure you call Holly to get things done, don't expect answers when you email.

People enjoyed being outside, and the views from the patio are just wonderful with long expanses of green lawn. Holly Hamilin was a dream to work with. She's an expert having done receptions many times. She met with us early on to give us information and know what to expect. We met with her another time, and she took my calls whenever I needed to discuss decisions or ask questions. Holly is very professional and takes charge in a calm, quiet, and sure way. The food was so delicious. Catering was done through Black Gold Golf Club and was prepared on the premises of the Community Center. We had many raves about the food. I appreciated Holly's guidance on food selection. She knew from past receptions what entrees people liked best. We were so glad we went with the glazed tri-tip and the sole with lemon and capers as the main course. I liked that the food was made on the premises I gave Holly centerpieces I had made, plus fairy lights, silk rose petals, floor spotlights, and pink lights on chords. She put them up on the day of the receptions and she created such a lovely, charming atmosphere in the room. It made a huge difference. We had ample room for our First Dance and for people to get up and make speeches with our champagne toasts. Holly had a lovely table for our beautiful cake which she surrounded with rose petals. After we cut the cake, one of the servers cut and distributed the cake slices. Patrick and I were delighted we found this venue and Holly. Everything worked out extremely well.

White House Catering catered a wedding I attended with about two hundred guests at the Richard…read moreNixon Presidential Library and Museum. Everything was superb, beginning with the cocktail hour and hor d'oeuvres after the wedding and before the meal. A wide range of cocktails and non alcoholic beverages were served and the cocktails were good. Ahi tacos, roasted tri tip crostini, Beef Wellington and smoked salmon toast were served. The Ahi tacos and smoked salmon toast were the hits. The Beef Wellington and Tri Tip crostini were distanced by the seafood offerings. The main meal compromised a fresh salad in some sort of shell with dried apricot slivers, thinly sliced apples with a passion fruit vinaigrette that was delicious. The main course was string beans and carrots in a garlic butter sauce that accompanied the duo of jumbo shrimp in a scampi sauce and a generous fillet mignon au poivre with the garlic mashed potatoes. They somehow managed not to have the shrimp arrive on the plate overcooked and the fillet arrived at a medium temperature, still juicy and nothing tough. Everything arrived on the table at a warm temperature. The sweet tooth was satisfied with a variety of offerings: cheesecake, mango cake, mini fruit tarts and Creme Brulee. The Creme Brulee was the star of the show in the dessert lineup. Accompanied by coffee or tea and I was good. The coffee was no afterthought. Nothing was actually. I unfortunately failed to take a photo of any of this goodness, but you can rely on this caterer for your most momentous occasions. 4.5 stars

Coming to Christ Cathedral on a Friday evening, I had no expectations. It was a dinner celebrating…read moreimportant women of the year in their respective churches in the Diocese of Orange. However, I would have to say I was looking forward to the evening festivities, especially the culinary offerings. Little did I know, I was in for a culinary delight rivaling michelin star restaurant. The first offering was the contemporary green salad. It consisted of Baby greens & romaine, dried apricots, sliced apples, cherry tomatoes, and passion fruit vinaigrette. The sliced apples were refreshing. I certainly polished off the plate due to the yummy passion fruit vinaigrette. Next was the main entree of the night, the big "bahooga," if you will. The Mediterranean chicken consisted of oven-roasted chicken breast in a spinach, tomato, lemon, white wine & butter sauce. I had filet mignon at Christ Cathedral before and it was a bit dry. This chicken was moist with a creamy white wine and butter sauce that went well with the texture of the rice that was cooked perfectly. It had an umami, savory flavor that complements well with the rice. Additionally, the same sauce highlighted the contrast of carrot texture, elevating this dish to a Michelin-star quality meal. The strawberry shortcake was good but a bit sweet. However, I would still give it 4.5/5 stars as it paired nicely with the decaffeinated coffee that was offered. This is probably the first time that my eyes deceived me, thinking this would be an ordinary culinary experience because the food offerings looked so simple. However, the taste of each dish has left me wanting more as it tantalized my palate. It would be a lie to say I didn't polish off every plate. My only critique: Please sharpen your knives. They were all dull. Half the table were elderly and couldn't cut the chicken. I, myself, a 36 year old male, resorted to tearing the chicken apart with the knife by pulling it apart as the knife couldn't do an incision. Scalpels at this point would be better.
