It's a bit like boiling point if you get the hotpot. There is a huge selection if you want to make your own though. There are other food options too. You order online through the QR code and pay through there too. The interior was alright. Nothing too special it's pretty casual. The popcorn chicken was good and I really like the mantou (fried buns) with the condensed milk which I believe is pandan flavored? The hot pot was definitely filling though and had many things in it.

Everything here is so good. I came here during Seattle Restaurant Week and was already planning on coming back before I finished my meal. The restaurant has a casual ambiance (with a strong bamboo theme that I thought was fun) and the service was very attentive. Food -Taiwanese spicy: Perfect amount of mala flavor and great mix of various toppings. I loved that the hot pot is single-serving instead of a shared style so that people can order different things or just eat their own meal. -Beef noodle soup: Broth was very flavorful without leaning too heavy on a spice. Hard to go wrong with this one -Spicy wontons: Yum! Surprisingly juicy fillings for a non-dumpling place -Taiwanese pork bun: The pork was cooked perfectly and the sauce it comes with is so good -Custard bun: The custard is amazing without being too sweet -Mantou: Came out perfectly warm and delicious

Loved the make your own hot pot option! The miso sesame broth was delicious. Next time I will request that the bowl be presented without the fire underneath, so that I can eat it quicker and because I did not enjoy the scent of the fire. Fast and friendly service.

Taiwanese Pork Bun was so good. I packed the remaining qty 1 to go. Still so good the day after.

This place reminds me a lot of Boiling Point except only better! Because they have alcohol!! Of course, I was also very pleased about the whole experience here because of the following - 1. Their service was super nice. The waitress even came out of the store to point me to where the parking lot was when I called so I could park for free! FYI - free parking across the street of the Crawfish King. 2. They put a lot of ingredients in the pot! My mom ordered the Herbal Bakuteh hot pot which came with two huge braised ribs and many quail eggs. I ordered the Miso Sesame hot pot which had shrimps that were very good sizes and also chashu. I didn't need to order any additional meats. 3. The green tea that came with the hotpot was in a container that could be carried away (not a normal bubble tea cup though but better IMO). We ordered more to-go as well as asked for boxes for the remaining food. Their materials for these to-go boxes and bags were not cheap. Their menu has extensive selections from appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and drinks, to hot pots. If you are hungry for some Taiwanese food, this is def the place you need to try!

Delicious! I'm so glad I decided to come here before my flight out of Seattle--what a meal as a send off! There's not a lot of Taiwanese food easily available in Austin so I had to get my fill in Seattle. I really enjoyed the braised pork over rice! The pork was delicious prepared very well and the pickled veg was a nice accompaniment. I also had the popcorn chicken which was fantastic. The basil and five spice flavor is delicious. The chicken was fried well. The green onion pancake (with egg) was also yummy. I thought it was a tad doughy but overall delicious.

So my wife and I went to a Yelp event at Gourmet Bowl, and we decided to come back because we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were crossing our fingers that the food at the event wasn't a fluke. Well, as proud Taiwanese people, this place serves pretty dang good Taiwanese food. It's just sad that it's around the outskirts of ID, for it should be getting more publicity and recognition than some other nearby existing restaurants. My wife and I ordered quite a feast here, so we got: Braised pork belly over noodle Beef noodle soup Fried intestines Pork blood I don't even like intestines that much, but when I had it at the Yelp event, I was enthralled. I couldn't stop eating it. Well, today was no different, and the intestines were solid. Not everyone's cup of tea, I understand, but it was so good and crunchy. For my braised pork belly, the noodles were actually really favorable and delicious, and the veggies were great too. My only qualm was that the meat wasn't cooked very well, and it seemed like it was older meat - pretty sinewy and tough. The beef noodle soup was very similar feeling. The soup was actually really nice and there was a nice little kick to it, and the noodles were good too. Problem was the meat unfortunately. My wife demolished the pork blood, as that not my favorite Taiwanese xiao chi (little bite). All in all, really solid place that deserves more recognition and love. My wife and I both nodded to each other in agreement that this is probably the best Taiwanese food in the Seattle area (Facing East in Bellevue doesn't count, and it's really good over there too). Definitely worth a try!

Luckily I found this gem for Seattle Food week, because they're offering delicious food and good prices year round! They offer a wide variety of Taiwanese comfort foods like hot pot, scallion pancakes, and of course Taiwanese beef noodle soup which was perfect in the cold weather! The beef broth was light but still packed with flavor, the slices of beef were tender but had a nice bite to it, the spicy wontons on the side were small but mighty dumplings, and the mantou (fried doughnut with condensed milk) wasn't overly sweet and rounded out the meal!

It was a cold rainy night and we were in the mood for some hot spicy soup, and ended up finding this place on Yelp. There's only street parking available, but it isn't near the center of the ID, so we were able to find parking really easily out front. There was no one else inside when we arrived so we were seated right away. We ordered the pork buns to share and each of us built our own hot pots. The meat in the buns was a little soggy and lacked seasoning, so it was underwhelming BUT the hot pot was delicious. The broth had just the right amount of spice and there was a lot of food for the price (definitely worth it to build your own). Overall the meal was really inexpensive (we were pleasantly surprised) so we will definitely be coming back and building our own hot pots again!

Came here for lunch with friends on Friday. My friend treated us he's friends with the owner. I'm going to save the last star for when I dine here on my own and pay myself. Our friend was giving us a little background Taiwanese cuisine. I was going to get the chicken katsu but after hearing they're known for their braised meats I changed to the braised meat combo. Very glad I changed my mind the meat was tender and nicely caramelized. Would definitely order the bowl again one of my friends had the pork chop which was also delicious tender not dry and lots of flavor from the seasoning. My other friend had one of the hot pots with no rice or noodles as he's trying to stay away from carbs. We had the Salt & Pepper Crispy Squid and the Fried Pork Intestine. Our friend wanted us to give the intestine a try since my other friend and I hadn't had it before. I enjoyed the flavor. Glad I tried it. Definitely glad I went with someone who frequents the place and gave us tips on mixing the sauces. The owner gave us complimentary egg buns for dessert. Was a nice way to end the meal.

Vegetarian Laksa.. SO GOOD. So flavorful and satisfying.

First of all, I gotta say this is my new favorite spot in the I.D! The floors and tables were clean, the atmosphere is nice and chill. Not too loud or chaotic, which I appreciate as someone who's uncomfortable in those kinds of environments. The service was fantastic, our waitress was so sweet and on top of making sure we were taken cared of. Yo... THE FOOD!!! My girlfriend had the vegetarian laksa and I had the sesame miso hot pot with extra yam noodles. Both were excellent. The noodles in her soup were perfect texture and the broth was so creamy and flavorful. My hot pot was everything I wanted it to be. Lunch for both of us only costed 32$, which in Seattle these days that's an affordable meal. I absolutely plan on becoming a regular here. I highly recommend to the noodle soup and hot pot lovers out there. This place is IT.

很好吃! Seattle has some solid Taiwanese food options, but we can always use more. Gourmet Noodle Bowl does a great job with the classics. I was so happy with the braised pork belly rice (kong rou fan), which was one of my favorite dishes growing up. The rice was packed with flavor from the sauce, and the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I will say I was also expecting minced pork based on the pictures, and would love to see if that's an option next time. The Taiwanese pork bun (gua bao) was also great. They're garnished with crushed peanuts, so you know you're in for a good time. I will also give a nod to the takeout containers, which are made from compostable materials. Proud of my people for running a sustainable business.

The service was excellent!! Greeted at the door by the chef and he took our order and talk about service with a smile!! The service was so good that it made the food taste even better and let me tell you ... the food was extremely GREAT!! Probably the best I tasted so far here in Washington!! Absolutely will be back!! Soooo dang delicious!!

We went for late lunch and enjoyed the popcorn chicken and tempura green beans to start. They were served with assorted sauces. All were good although the garlic sauce was the best. Chicken was excellent and green beans were good. We also enjoyed the Taiwanese Spicy hot pot. They serve individual hot pots so you can choice different options. We also tried the Mantou served with three dipping sauces, condensed milk, ube and matcha. Nice sweet bread desert to enjoy with tea. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once.
