This place is my absolute favorite when I'm craving legit Cantonese seafood. The fish, crab, you name it, it's always fresh and cooked perfectly, just like luxury seafood restaurants in Guangzhou, China. I swear, every bite takes me back to family dinners. It's also a perfect spot for big groups (they have a karaoke machine). We've rolled up with over 10 people, and they took care of us with huge portions, lazy Susans spinning, no stress. And if you speak Cantonese, chat up the aunties! They're hilarious and will probably tease you while recommending the best/freshest dishes. 100% my comfort-food go-to in Seattle when I visit.

Felt hungry at 8:50pm and despite them closing at 9pm, they were able to accommodate our order and get the food out hot and ready within 10 minutes! We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Chinese Broccoli, Wonton Soup, and Crispy Noodles. They were all solid, except the wonton soup was below average. Would recommend pairing an extra bowl of rice to-go with the Kung Pao chicken. We hesitated to order from here because of the reviews on Yelp but honestly not bad! Does the job when you're looking for standard Chinese food.

Food here is pretty good, also their waitress/servers has always been very nice to me. They also got some dishes that other places don't. Like the beef innards, I haven't found any other places in Seattle that sells that, and they make that really good too~ Their dim sum is also really good, but make sure you go early cause it's more fresh, they stop making them probably around 2-3pm. Should definitely give this place a try!

This appetizer is very good- it's called rice noodle with spareribs. The other picture is rice noodles.

Salt and pepper fish and sweet and sour perk the batter outside was doughy and tough. Not light and crunchy like it should be. Disappointed.

Both times we ordered the cucumber dish as well as the green onion pancakes because they were delish. The pancakes were thin and crispy and the cucumbers were pickled and came as 2 pieces, wound in a spiral mound. On the first night we had pork XLB, full of bursting soup upon a bite. The fried rice was Ok but Hubby liked more than I did. The second night, we tried Dan Dan noodle. It was pretty spicy but had a nice flavor. We tried the chicken XLB instead. I preferred the pork XLB over the chicken. We also tried the pork pan fried buns, cane as 4 pieces and I liked them better than the XLB. Servers are nice but not very attentive. You place your order on the QR code and they basically bring you the dishes and drinks. Food arrived quickly.

As an Asian-American, I'm typically pretty wary of Asian food shops in a predominantly New-American cuisine area. However, I am definitely very glad to have given this place a shot. You can expect to have your order taken and served in a relatively quick manner. The ambiance of the shop is similar to those all along Pike Place Market, a bit fast casual. Mee Sum Pastry offers a wide variety of dim sum options to choose from but they are known for their delicious pork buns! I had the BBQ Pork bun and honestly, it was one of the most delightful items I had during my trip to Seattle. The bun is nice and flavorful, with a soft, fluffy texture. The meat inside is juicy and plentiful, definitely a welcome surprise based on the exorbitant prices of the other dim sum items on their menu. I would highly recommend stopping by this shop, especially if you're into Asian cuisine. I would advise to steer away from the dim sum because it's way overpriced but definitely get their pork buns!

The service here is efficient, not particularly friendly (but that's how it is in any Chinatown restaurants). We've had dimsum here and many different dishes. We can't complain about the food for sure. What we have a problem with is the cleanliness. I went to the men's room and toilet was disgustingly dirty. The floor was sticky. They really need to invest in modernizing and sanitizing their restrooms. It is totally inexcusable.
