I came here with my brother for a siblings brunch. He had the chicken tenders with fries, and I had a latte with some breakfast potatoes. The tenders were cold and the fries weren't very good. The breakfast potatoes were more raw than we expected. The coffee was simultaneously too bitter and too artificial tasting. The only thing we really enjoyed were the macarons. This place is very cute!! They have so many food choices both savory and sweet that it was hard to choose from. I ultimately chose the wrap and was very glad i did! First time ever at a Grace Coffee Shop. I was in the area, so I decided to drop in. On a corner in the Third Ward of downtown Milwaukee. There is another coffee shop right across the street, so plenty of competition (or plenty of coffee drinkers). It's a nice space, with plenty of windows and natural light. Plenty of different spots to sit at, and an outdoor patio too. When I arrived at 7:30, the place was literally empty. Got a friendly greeting from the barista. I got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam), served in a mug. There was a very nice selection of pastries, including decadent looking croissants, cookies, and scones. I usually order a scone when available. I was a bit skeptical of these because they were wrapped in plastic (never trust pastry or bakery that is packaged in plastic). Got myself the Blueberry Scone. I asked if they could heat up the scone, and they didn't have means to heat up bakery (that should have been a another clue). The London Fog was very good. The scone was one of the worst that I have had. It was cold, not crumbly, and I would say stale. Heating it up might have helped, but only a bit. I was seriously disappointed. A croissant might have been a better choice. In my opinion, a decent coffee shop should offer real scones and have them fresh. The space is nice, the service good, the drink well made, and the scone was way off. I'd come back, but it's not my first choice for downtown coffee shops. read more

We need an early morning coffee and food fix, and that can be difficult to find in downtown Milwaukee. After some research, we came across Grace coffee and we thought it sounded like a good fit. We were blown away! The coffee is great. The service is top notch. The food is phenomenal. What more could you want? From the moment we walked in the front door we were greeted by a kind server and a welcoming and chic ambiance. The menu was accessible and there was plenty of seating, both indoors and outside. We were in need of substantial sustenance along with our coffee and Grace Coffee seemed like the best bet. We were correct. Our cold brew was deliciously flavorful and caffeinated. We each got croissant breakfast sandwiches and they were so delicious. And they were substantial. So many places give you tiny sandwiches for expensive prices, but not Grace Coffee! They gave us substantial and delicious sandwiches for a reasonable price. We loved every bite! The sides were also a key feature. I wanted something healthy, so the mixed green salad was the perfect side. My husband wanted something even more substantial, so he LOVED the cheese filled hash brown balls. We were both so so happy with our choices! After one morning visit, Grace Coffee has won our hearts as the best spot downtown for early morning coffee and substantial food options. Date of visit: October 20, 2024 We came here with some friends for our monthly coffee date and was pleasantly surprised with many aspects of Grace Coffee. Staff was friendly and the menu was surprisingly large and varied--without being at the level of Cheesecake Factory and you can't possibly decide! My breakfast quesadilla was pretty good; the gravy was really where the flavor was and once the gravy was all gone, the dish was pretty meh. I would highly recommend the Everything Bagel Sandwich, though. I finished my husband's several days later and it was wonderful. I cannot fathom how good it would have been when it was fresh. My coffee drink was a bit underwhelming, though I appreciated the artistry atop the drink. Also odd is the cart for bussing your own table, located directly next to the door, an odd placement for a restaurant that is essentially a rectangle. All in all, would definitely come back here for another crack at that Everything Bagel Samich! read more

I appreciate the aesthetic of this cafe though it isn't much my style. The latte was pretty decent. The service was probably the best part; I asked if I they used mugs (because I wanted one) and the worker offered to let me use one thought they don't usually do mugs on weekends. Everyone was very kind. As for seating, there was plenty but it was a big unorganized and hard to find a spot for just myself. Our fancy coffee machine was out for repair so we were looking for a spot to have some cappuccinos on Thanksgiving. We tried a place nearby that someone said was going to be open but they weren't, but we noticed that Grace was open, so we stopped in. It was our first time here but we've been to one of their other locations in Madison, and they have their own coffee brand. There was just one guy making all of the drinks and taking orders, plus handing over carryout orders, plus some staff making food. Being one of the few coffee places open, they were understandably busy. The counter guy kept up admirably. The cappuccinos were artfully topped and the brew had more molasses notes than chocolate, and prices were reasonable. Came here on a recent Saturday morning--what a cute spot! They have a robust food menu (for a coffee shop) as well as an array of coffee beverages. I ordered their mocha made with almond milk (lovely) and their street corn avo toast (good!). Our server was delightful and the coffee was smooth and flavorful. My husband got their hot honey latte, which I tried and it was also delicious. The interior offers plenty of seating a a bright and colorful (bright flowers painted on the walls!) environment. The prices are some of the steepest I've come across in the Milwaukee area ($70+ after tip for a small, coffee house breakfast and 12 ounce beverages for three people). They were warm and super cheesy. The sandwich was just as good. Warning though the thing is huge so I ate half and saved the other half for later. The spicy aioli is a must for the sandwich. Another hipster coffee shop in MKE! With so many great local coffee shops in the third ward / downtown area already, Grace is here not just offering coffee drinks but a variety of house-made pastries and a full breakfast and brunch food menu. I think their position here could be first a community coffee shop then a MKE coffee & gathering spot to be successful on its own. We had their coffee in the old Madison location before and were excited to come visit this new location on their first day of opening! Everyone was friendly and worked efficiently in a team. They are good at espresso based drinks with beans roasted at their own facility. The lattes all come with latte arts that are poured all the way to the top and taste warm, smooth and rich. Really enjoyable. The drip coffee is ok - nothing really to complain. The pastries and food are good as a coffee shop. It's good for anyone who wants to stay for longer. read more

A very cute brunch spot/coffee shop in the historic third ward district. Loved the ambiance and the coffee was great! I over ordered so I could try multiple things let's start with the good... the egg sandwich on the everything croissant: while the egg and veggies themselves where much larger than the croissant itself once I got past that portion and I got to taste the marrying of the flavors and different elements all in one bite I found the magic. It was truly delicious and for $14 a great deal (at least compared to Detroit food prices that might have been 17-20). The French toast however left some things to be desired. I felt like the French toast itself lacked flavor it was too thick and so the berry to syrup to bread ratio was just off for me. Even when I took it one layer at a time by the time I finished half of the first French toast I was out of berries. Overall I was very impressed and will be back often probably if not for the coffee then to try the egg and veggie meddly in its different forms (wrap, sandwich, quesadilla). read more

This was my first time in at Grace Coffee, which is apparently a chain that we were lucky enough to have come over from Madison. We walked here after yoga, but as far as I could tell it looked like street parking only. It is gorgeously green inside and the staff was very nice! They are a casual cafe where you order up at the counter, find your own table, and grab a buzzer if you order food. I opted for a cappuccino for there instead of a takeaway cup, because I love the art they do on top and it's also nice to prevent extra waste. I was a little disappointed the "cup" sized açaí came in a literal plastic cup, but I suppose that's convenient if you're trying to grab something to-go. I just go the traditional option and really enjoyed their house made granola, but it was clear that the berries they had were all frozen. read more

But once I solved the riddle of the menus it was up hill from there. Wife tried the pistachio coffee--she gave it an 8.5/10, which in her world means "I would fight someone for this but maybe not go to prison over it." I went rogue and asked for a "surprise me" drink (my go-to test for any coffee shop's creativity). They came back with something bold, mysterious, and slightly chaotic--like if a latte had a plot twist. Solid 7.5/10. Bonus points for being a great work spot. Saw a good amount of seating, pastries and a breakfast menu! We decided to stay here and cancel our waitlist reservation at the other place. We came with a small group. So excited Grace has finally opened in the Third Ward! I love having a new spot to add to my coffee rotation. First time trying and was already impressed.
