Came here for the ~Glamorama~ brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was delicious and the performers were amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seriously so fun with the DJ keeping the party going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was great too keeping our drinks full and really hustling bringing the food out. There were three courses and all the food was super good. We had the avocado toast, omelet, egg Benedict, banana foster french toast and crepes. So good and so filling. Drinks were also great, they even accommodate my friend with mocktails. Highly recommend and hope we can attend again.

I've driven by Gracie's for years, but had never tried their brunch. The food is both beautiful and tasty. The staff was amazingly friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere, classy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Tea for two and Prosecco

A beautiful afternoon tea experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is stunning with classic styles with a touch of early 1900's charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is attentive and super helpful - we had a last minute request and were not only accommodated but the staff was so delightful. The tea was delicious and warm, with staff checking in regularly. They serve all the special little pieces of a tea, including clotted cream. The only downside would be the food, which was fine but nothing too special. Would definitely come back!

    Chilaquiles rojo

The service was really friendly and welcoming, and the latte was SO good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chilaquiles rojo, and my omelette with roasted veggies and goat cheese was INCREDIBLE! Perfect cheese-to-veg ratio, in my opinion. We also tried the sausage links and those were super tasty, with just the right amount of snap to them. Potatoes Anna was tasty and a fun textural experience, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the overall atmosphere is glamorous without being stuffy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing that wasn't excellent was the wait for our food, which was long enough that some patrons who were seated and ordered after us were a good way through their meal before we got ours, but it's not a huge deal.

    Lobster Benedict

Gracie's is one of the best places for breakfast in NW Portland. Tucked inside the Hotel Deluxe, this is easily a go to breakfast. They make their English muffins in house from scratch so I encourage you to try a Benedict for the full experience. My favorite is the lobster Benedict but the breakfast fried rice is a fast follow. The portions are large but if you have some extra room their blueberry crumb muffin is also made in house and is a welcomed add on to any meal. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is always hot (unless of course it's iced)

Roasted veggie omlet, Potato Anna and homemade english muffin

Wonderful experience. I was in town for a conference and took an extra day to wander the city. Michele was my server and suggested the homemade english muffin-- so delicious. On the way out I asked the front desk clerk for the name of the hotel that used to occupy this space. "The Mallory". I stayed at the Mallory in the 90's; It was a historic and elegant. Gracie's keeps this spirit alive. One star off for the gruff teenage hostess who led me to a rather undesirable table to start. With the dining room 2/3 empty this seemed quite unnecessary. That said, this is a common indignity experienced by solo diners - especially, women. I pointed to a small table by the window to which she brusquely replied, "that table is for two people". She, instead, then led me to one of the half moon tables which was inadvertently perfect. Fortunately, I was served by the professional and attentive Michele which helped me shake the feeling of taking up her time. (hostess: very small, thin, with long reddish black braid.)

Bacon and Egg Fried Rice & Fresh Berry Crepes

I came here for brunch and had the most amazing time. Located in a hotel, the restaurant can be a bit hidden, but it is truly a gem. The inside of the restaurant seems to have kept much of its history intact, leaving it very elegant, clean, and spacious. There was plenty of seating and the tables itself were so big and spacious, I could have bought 7-8 entrees before I filled it up! My partner and I ordered the bacon and egg fried rice, the fresh berry crepes, and the kale ceasar salad with grilled prawns and everything was phenomenal--I haven't had a brunch this good in a while. The fried rice was SOSO savory and I wish I knew what they put in it, because I've never had that blend of flavors before. The salad was so very good--the dressing was amazing and with the prawns, it was the perfect brunch salad. And, the crepes were light, not-too-sweet, and the perfect portion. Service throughout the whole experience was very quick and kind. Overall, I would love to come back here again and only have good things to say about brunch at Gracie's.

    Brunch event

Gracie's held a special brunch today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was clean and open and full of grandeur with gold moldings and chandeliers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a green fennel salad with delicious champagne vinaigrette, tasty eggs Benedict , and banana foster's French toast. I would say first two courses were very good and the dessert was good but not amazing. The only but important negative part of my experience was our server gave us too much time to put in our order, then forgot to serve our main entree on time. We waited til we saw other tables receiving their dessert to say something. Promptly the server apologized for the mistake and gave us complimentary drinks as we waited for kitchen to prep our meal. It was good and we were starving. Overall I would say it was a good experience despite the meal delay.

    Britanny T.

One server for the entire restaurant, hosting and all, I felt for the guy. Took awhile to get our food but when we finally did the experience completely flipped... despite the server having his struggles the kitchen was definitely on point. My egg was poached perfectly, I was very happy with the mass majority of my food.... The flavors the textures and everything on the in between was really good if I had anything to complain about it other than the fact that they charge me five dollars for tea that we received for free all over the hotel...would be the toast. It was very hard, very hard. All in all, good eggs.

You can absolutely smell the fish and vinegar as soon as you walk through the door, which I think gives the place a very homey pub feel. I ordered a spiked peach Arnold Palmer, which I enjoyed (and it was pleasantly strong) and a glass of the house white, which was good for the price. Our server was very fast and attentive. To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this place as a refuge during the cold winter months!

The restaurant is small and intimate, so I'd definitely keep that in mind for larger groups. We had seven people, and that felt like the perfect size. Everything we ordered was gorgeous and whimsical in presentation, but of course that would mean little without the flavors to back it all up, which it had in spades. The Thai steak tartare tostadas were incredibly balanced, with brightness and herbaceous notes from the vegetables, herbs, and sauce, great punch from the Thai spices, richness from the tartare, and a nice snap and slight nuttiness from the tapioca crisps cradling everything underneath. The foie gras dumplings were simply divine. I expected them to be rich and dense, but they were like little pillows, with a savory filling and a perfect balance of smoked leek broth, crispy fried leeks, and a caramelized shallot jam that ended up being the surprise star of the dish for me. Then came the main event, the Duck Stack, which I can only describe as a McGriddle on steroids (in the best possible way!). Somehow it all worked beautifully, with the rich duck gravy, fluffy pancakes drenched in syrup, spiced onions, and a fried duck egg tying everything together in perfect harmony. It was one of those dishes that sounds wild on paper but is totally brilliant on the plate and in your mouth. Really fantastic meal from start to finish, and I'm already excited to come back to try more of the menu (and the happy hour!) on a future visit.

So we went to town on ordering a few things: Half a dozen of oysters-super fresh, small and briny served on salt plate. They included a house made hot sauce that tasted super fruity. Since we are heading to an event, not far from here, we didn't have much time to take leftovers home, we didn't have a cooler, it's almost 80 degrees out, so we decided to eat something we could share. We picked the BBQ COHO Salmon Sandwich. Seared Coho salmon glazed with Bourbon BBQ sauce topped with baby Aragula and pickled red onions on a Portland French toasted potato bun. There's a $2 discount recess during happy hour (3-5pm). We were there at that time. (Is that the reason WHY the music were soo loud?) It was served with hand-cut fries. Both were just the perfect taste (delicious), and size for both of us. But, for some reason, I was still tempted to have something else. We looked at the desert menu, and decided on the Peach Crumble. Food taste so much better, when shared! Enough said. (We waited so long for this one, that we almost didn't made it to our event!
