After an exhausting day dealing with a medical requirement for a clinical trial I thought it would be nice to dine at our favorite Peruvian place. Alas our waiter was the dolt(unnamed) instead of our favorite waiter John Harold( from Armenia Colombia ) who is to waiting as Picasso is to art , Obama to politics,or A Rod used to be to baseball. Since mrs. Piggypoo was suffering from the cold( less tha 60 in Miami) she ordered a wonton soup which was very good. I ordered my usual ceviche with no garlic and then as a main course she ordered corvina de sentimiento peruano, a delicious plate with roasted peppers and other veggies. ok so far. I ordered the ceviche as a main plate but the dolt brought it along with the soup. Then the eternal wait began. The soup and ceviche were long forgotten and the only thing that kept us from wreaking havoc in the place was the wonderful baked rolls which were replenished. Still no main course. I am reasonably patient but time marched on. Finally I managed to tell John Harold that it was nice to employ the cerebrally challenged but this was not the service we were used to. John Harold always noting his clients weaknesses immediately brought me another glass of wine and said he would do what he could do. Still no corvina so he assuaged my impatience with still another glass of Chardonnay. That could have calmed me down or provoked an incident of food throwing against the wall. Fortuneately the former and I began chuckling at the absurdly of a situation where a previously great place falls down on the job. Finally the main course arrives and is very good but the dolt insenitive to his customer offers a tepid apology. Here is the essence of the dolt who should be seeking another line of work . He offers a free cup of coffee, not the capuchino Mrs. Piggypoo ordered but a FREE cup of coffee. WOW. Moral of the story. Do not allow the dolt to get within 100 yards of the table. l read more

When we wakes in we're greeted by Jorge who Was very friendly and could speak 5 different languages. He assisted us on our drink which was similar to a Whiskey sour. He then helped us pick out an appetizer was a cervicje with shrimp and chicken and then aquacasta misti with seafood, avacado and chicken which as a hot appetizer. We then picked a dinner for the four of us with Steak medallions, mahi-mahi , shrimp and Lobster, squid And golden potatoes. Very fresh for ingredients. I will give them that. Ceviche was very good but a bit expensive I thought, considering portion size but I believe it's the location that drives the price up. squid ink paella was beautiful to look at but a little bland. Rice itself wasn't really flavorful. Maybe other dishes shine tho. read more

I have been several times to both the Aventura and Key Biscayne locations, and have yet to try the one on Brickell. The one in Aventura was larger, but both are nice and have a nice decor. Grilled fish and meat was always excellent. And I really like the fried ceviche appetizer that they have. read more

Better than the average strip mall restaurant. The ceviche classico was very fresh and flavorful with a good amount of fish. The two corvina entrees - one with peppers and onions and one more like a seafood stew were also very good. Eating outside despite it being a parking lot was pleasant. read more

Fredy gave us an amazing service. I was very surprised by how delicious the cilantro ceviche was and how good the portion was. My wife had a piña colada and I had a negroni and they were both delicious. Shouts out to the bartender. Will be back to try the sangrias. read more
