This place is awesome! From the atmosphere to the staff to the food, this is THE place to go in Granby. We're doing a progressive dinner tonight and this was our "entree" spot. I don't remember much from this restaurant except the wings were great, the beer kept flowing, and I came on the only day of the year that the bar is packed. The staff could hardly keep up, but they still made for a great experience. We were there during happy hour where they gave us 2 for 1 coors. Great deal! The Granby Garage has a ton of potential and certainly fills a niche for a trendy eatery that's been lacking in the area. We came in early on a Sunday before the lunch rush and were seated immediately by friendly staff. The space is pretty cool- I dig the tons of tvs for sports in the bar and comfortable booths, but there are some cheesy elements (a grandma-ish "gather here" sign?!) and the cheap metal chairs are uncomfortable. The potential to open the garage doors and enjoy the giant patio in good weather is pretty awesome though! Now for food and service reflections. Beer list could be better- they should offer more local Colorado brews; if they can't do 'em on tap, get bottles. Not a fan of the free flour fritter chip things they're so proud of. Did LOVE the buffalo wings- large, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was VERY unfortunate that our main course came IMMEDIATELY after these were served. The waitstaff and/or kitchen should learn to allow diners to enjoy their apps first- duh! I had the counter burger which I was super impressed with, as the beef patty was big and flavorful and I loved the pepper, cheese, and bacon. Fries were great too. However, the bun was a bit bready. My friend got the nachos for her main course and I thought they left much to be desired- serving was small, toppings were stingy, and the chorizo was super greasy and left the plate covered in unappealing orange oil. Overall, this is still probably one of the best options in Granby for ambience, food, and price. Nasty! They have a band, and it's all! The mussels were frozen and old, the kid's cheese pizza was a blab of cheap cheese, and the Mac and cheese were sad. Been waiting for awhile for it to open. Went in Friday and was really disappointed. Restaurant seems confused as what they want to be. Had the counter burger and wings. Burger was ok but putting it on brioche was a mistake. By the time you are halfway through the bun is mush and all over the place. French fries were cold and hard, you can tell they made them awhile ago. Really weird that there are hardly any chicken options? The wings were served cold and you can tell by the texture that they were fried earlier and refried again when ordered. The batter tasted reminiscent of something you would get at a carnival. Not worth your time. On Mother's Day, our family stopped in for a bite to eat here for an early dinner. I had a small cup of coffee with me and upon sitting down our waitress told me that outside drinks weren't allowed and to please finish my drink. I stepped out and decided not to support a place that cares more about one outside drink than the 10 of us who just sat down to pay for their food. Such an odd business strategy. read more

The Buffalo chicken sandwich was just two (very) small chicken fingers with no sauce as opposed to be a chicken breast with sauce as advertised. The wings were bad, broken bones. We asked the staff to give us the hottest they had, they didn't know which flavor that would be, so we ordered the mango habanero and it was just maple syrup flavored. The "BLAT" was more of a kids menu item, considering it was all pita and almost no ingredients. Finally, the fish tacos were just that. Fish and tortilla. Nothing else, we ended up pouring the additional side order of Buffalo sauce (which they charged us for even though the chicken finger sandwich didn't have any) on the fish tacos so it wouldn't be as dry and painful. A great choice for our last meal in Granby before returning home. The BLT and the pork belly sammie were awesome. I liked my BLT with a good portion of bacon and this hit the spot. Mean to those with disabilities I ate lunch there with a group of 10 including my 12 year old daughter with special needs. My daughter's condition requires her food to be specially prepared, so we brought her food in to the restaurant while the other 9 of us ordered from the menu. As our drinks were served the owner of the restaurant noticed my daughter's separate food and drink. When he saw this he walked over to our table and forcibly ripped my daughters drink from her hands telling us that no outside drinks were allowed in his establishment. I tried to explain the scenario to him but he was very rude and continuously cited health code rules for the reason why she couldn't have her own drink. At first I wanted to chalk it up to a language barrier and my inability to properly explain the scenario in the owner's native Spanish, thinking no one could be this mean. That goodwill ended as we were quietly leaving and the owner taunted my daughter (12 years old) telling her not to come back if she couldn't eat their food. THE OWNER OF THIS RESTAURANT IS EVIL. It's worth noting that my family (including my daughter) have dined in restaurants all over the US and Mexico and have never experienced anything like this. Most places respect and accommodate those with special needs. It's also with noting that my daughter didn't ask for her condition. She would love to be able to order off of their menu and not be mocked for her condition. This is my first post to a review site like. I didn't know what else to to do. Stopped by twice during our vacation in Granby. Cheese curds , tacos, new york steak, and margaritas were yummy. The margarita with Hennessey had a unique flavor and might not be for everyone. Another night we all had burgers - the zombie burger was great and they made us a plain bacon cheeseburger upon request. Place is a bit noisy inside with some bigger tables. May seem a little nitpicky but when all these things happen at the same place, it adds up to a poor experience. Walked in and the hostess looked at us quietly like she was surprised to see anyone. We asked for a table and she said "ok?" Then left and found a waiter and told us to follow him. Ot much of a warm welcome. Second, they have signs posted that they're short staffed so expect things to move a little slower and if you can't handle that, something to the effect of, "Maybe you should consider dining elsewhere." But we weren't in a hurry and they have a good patio and we wanted to try them out. Waiter is running around, which we expected but took a really long time, like 15 minutes for a drink order. If you're short-staffed, I'd suggest prioritizing people's first drink order. People are much happier to wait with a drink. Waiter comes back and did briefly apologize, then said he would take our order - he kept moving around and grabbing things from his pockets so we waited to say anything - then he's abruptly said, "I'm listening!" We ordered Navajo tacos and mac and cheese for kids. Mac and cheese was just store-bought rotini pasta with cheese sauce under a broiler. Bothing to write home about. Navajo tacos were described as steak tacos on fry-bread. In reality, it could generously be described as a little bit of ground beef on a corn tortilla dipped in a fryer covered in lettuce with a drizzle of sour cream. Finally, the beer was not very cold and pretty flat. Any one of these things would have been gladly overlooked but getting all of them during one visit was kinda a bummer. We wanted to like the place but they need some fixes. Staffing is short everywhere - I get it so I'm not criticizing for that. But you have to strategize when staffing is short. And staffing issues have nothing to do with the menu. The food has a ways to go just to get to being accurately described by the menu. read more
