Next stop Grand Canyon Chocolate! They are newer to us and had gelato so we had to go and check them out. Finding they had a spumoni sold us instantly. Their spumoni gelato is such a great consistency and that whole chunks of pistachios. I personally wished there were some more cherry pieces in contrast to the pistachio. But over all dad and I really enjoyed it! Def will come again!

Sweet Shop Candy Store is such a fun place for a sweet treat!…read more We absolutely love the caramel-dipped apples here, and the gelato is delicious! If you're craving something sweet, this place has so many options to choose from. There's definitely something for everyone, and it's a great little spot to satisfy your sweet tooth. This is a candy shop that's small in size but bursting with a ton of different confections from all over the country. They have the Goo Goo Clusters from Nashville, Moose Munch from Medford, Hammonds from Denver, Claeys from South Bend, etc. It's certainly an eclectic selection, well appreciated for variety, but we were looking for locally made items that could keep well in the Arizona heat. We ended up purchasing some prickly pear cactus candy and their in house made mountain bark. Mountain Bark ($5.25 per square) - This is essentially an improved rice crispy treat crossed with fudge. There are tons of crispy popped rice bits interspersed with soft gooey marshmallows, some chewier melted white chocolate bits, and plenty of peanut butter flavor. It's a denser cake vs. a light and fluffy rice crispy treat, but is, dare I say, more delicious. (4/5) With such a wide variety of delicious treats, Sweet Shoppe Candy Store is definitely a great place to pick up some candy.

I looked over their menu, very interesting assortment of drinks from ceremonial cacao to matcha and other thoughtfully curated cocoa-based drinks. (They're leaps and bounds better than that place in Heritage Square). Good quality dark chocolate exterior and flavorful fillings, though I did find some of the fillings a bit salty and wished there were more chocolate interior options rather than all "chocolate outside, something else inside." Some of the flavors were a bit too, uh, Sedona out-there for me, but that's just my personal taste, so I can't hold that against them. Why not 5 stars? Well, they're not in the same tier as the all-timers of fancy chocolates, like LA Burdick in Boston or the like, despite being priced about as high. But if you want fancy handmade chocolates, it's a great option to have in town.

Both Cashier and Baristas were very friendly and had great memory of the friend(s) who sent us to Lund, so it was great to connect over mutual friends. They are also hitting their 5-year anniversary (celebrating June 27th + 28th!) Rare to find coffee shops that offer discounts, and that make sure to ask, but we were asked if we were students, teachers, or military which was nice. I tried their Flew From Samoa Latte and it was really tasty! 10/10 would recommend.

Maybe they were still new and working things out? I came back later with my boyfriend and ordered the same drink, while he got a latte and a pastry. This time, the coffee exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the cappuccino and have been back several times since. On one visit with my girlfriends, they happened to have a coffee drink named "Liv," which gave us a good laugh. Another thing I appreciate is that they offer discounts for teachers andwhich was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it's a cozy coffee shop with friendly staff, great coffee, and thoughtful perks for the community. I'm glad I gave it a second chance and will definitely be back.

The green and red colored tables outside really drive the mountain town vibe. Where there's a miss for me is the vegetarian push on the breakfasts and lunch which I completely missed my first visit here. But the second trip the biscuits and gravy somehow even fully knowing the sausage was fake (I wonder what it was because it tastes like sausage in a sausage gravy, most fake things are mushrooms and oil btw). This gravy, is some of the best if not the best sausage gravy I've ever had. The correct volume of every single spice was used. Would say there are two things holding Macy's back for me, the lack of coffee art in their normal espresso drinks (Cortado, Flat White, Breve) and that it's vegetarian (that part's a joke) but for me the well poured microfoam head with art drives the experience and structure of the coffee. I haven't had their mainline drinks, but people seem to love them. Macy's has the best biscuits and gravy in all of Northern Arizona, I am firm in that opinion.
